I am new to the whole Smartphone game, and I recently purchased the HTC S710/Vox. I am in the United States and AT&T cannot get the settings correct for the phone so that I am able to use the internet. Can someone on here please help me so that I can get this set up. I am in the United States/East if that helps with different settings.
Regards,
John

hello all, i just got my I-mate XDA II today and it is a great phone - however i am having a small issue with it. You see i am Los Angeles Area on t-mobile and somehow the phone always conencts to the Cingular network in roaming mode. I tried changing the settings in the phone network - but it did not help.
can you kind fellows please help me out on this - i do not wish to return such a nice phone.
I was even thinking of loading the NL T-mobile 1.60 Rom, will that work??
thanx in advance
T-Mobile doesn't have its own network in California, it uses Cingular's. The network shows as "T-Mobile" in California only on sets that have T-mobile ROM. All others show "Cingular". I burned a European ROM on my MDA I a few months ago, and it was showing "Cingular" as the network. So, enjoy your new phone and don't worry about "roaming charges" in California.
MPD is correct about the T-Mobile network and I won't worry about myself
but installing the T-mobile 1.60 Rom is a good idea!

bah, replied to wrong thread somehow.
thanx a lot guys for the help
I have a Qteq 9000 with T-mobile service here in the US. I will be traveling alot to the UK. I'm going to be getting a vodaphone account / sim card. Do I need to ask for anything special when I order it and I need someone to help me with the settings. I will be using it mostly for email and internet. As a side note, this forum has been a great help in setting up and using my device. Thanks to all.
You need to be extra careful to get their confirmation that the SIM supports both voice and data. You may also need to be able to provide a UK address, so let one of your friends over there buy it for you.
@bryang
look here for settings: http://www.filesaveas.com/networks.html
Hi.
Can anyone help me i am trying to configure an HTC touch Diamond on the Talk Mobile PAYG uk network.
Does anyone know the settings please.
I have asked CPW many times to no avail.
I know its on vodafone but the rest seems to be a secret.
Please help.
Im new to this forum stuff.
Thanks.
Does this help?
http://www.talkmobile.co.uk/get_your_settings.html
Alternatively, call 5888 from your Talkmobile
You could also try http://www.filesaveas.com/ they have all kinds of settings for all kinds of networks.
I just purchased this phone, and for some reason it detects rogers at&t instead of rogers wireless. I get kicked off the network every 40 seconds when making a call.
can anyone help or does anyone have a solution to this? it's running WM6
Thanks All.

Good luck,
Hello,
I am currently in Japan and my device does not manage to connect to Docomo network, it simply doesn't find anything when manually searching for networks.
With my home simcard it eventually found Softbank network, although i had to travel long distances until it worked and if I reboot I'm back to square one. With the japanese sim, it has never worked.
I know the hardware supports it so at this point i'm thinking about the modem, but which modem should I flash for it to work in japan (and east asia area possibly?). I looked around in the forums but didn't find a definite answer.
I am currently running OmegaDroid v40 (android 4.4.2 and baseband XXUFNC9)
Any help or tips would be appreciated as my situation make it extremely painful to live without phone or internet access !
Thanks in advance!
Bump, nobody has any input or experience with S4 in Japan ?
