Hello,
Well to explain my problem. I had the RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID flashed onto my O2 XDA Neo. No problems, but sometimes I couldn't go back to desktop because "programms" didn't want to close. So I went to look for a dutch firmware. I found one and tried it. It didn't work, but my XDA Neo was already at 1% and didn't go further. So I pulled the cable out of the telephone. Now it doens't pass the red, green, blue screen when starting the phone. Hard reset doens't help eather. Wenn I connect it to the computer, activesync says "not connected".
On the screen it says:
RUU
IPL 2.15.0001
SPL 2.15.0001
Please help me out, because I really don't know what to do anymore
Encountered your case before while trying to downgrade with no success.
I suggest you try to turn back to dopod wwe rom and install it again before further attempts to brick your device.
Active sync tells it's not connected, that's normal because you connect a device which has no rom now.
You should see "USB" at the bottom of the screen once connecting to PC. Then start the rom update.
It will try to discover what's in your pda and will report you "nothing", which is logic. Click update and go. It should proceed...
Good luck.

Thank you so much! I reflashed my old rom, and the device works fine again. But is it not possible to run an older rom? I would like to have the dutch version.
If your device is Sim unlocked, you may try the famous specific rom availIable at:
http://en.pdamobiz.com/en/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=437&PN=1&TPN=1
This rom is for downgrading in a first step and cid unlocking in the second step exclusively and not for continous use . Once these two task are done, you can install any ROM you want.
Reminder: You can not install other language without CID unlocking.

It is not true. You can install any language ROM using NoVendorID patched reflashing utility.
Yes and no!
If the ROM to write is never "patched rom update utility" will bypass the CID check step and continue to install.
But it the new rom is older (ie 2.09 to write over 2.13) problems start there and you get an error in most cases. In that case we need to downgrade.
I've faced and practiced both cases.
Thanks for details...
Hi,
Does anyone knows a method for repairing my old P3300.
The problem is i've tried to upgrade to wm6 and something went wrong,
ATM i only have a screen with the Tmobile logo,
I can open the bootloader, but if i load the bootloader and try to run the official rom update i get the error 122 cannot connect to device.
If i'm in the bootloader and try to start mtty, it all goes as it is supposed to go
I can see the phone in mtty and can get it into flash mode when i enter the bootloader password.
Even when the phone is in this mode the official upgrade won't see the device.
So my question: is there a way to flash/upgrade the rom from mtty?
If yes what are the commands for it in mtty.
If not does anybody know an other solution?
Btw it's a sim unlocked and Cid unlocked P3300 From the Netherlands Tmobile.
IPL 1.13.0001
SPL 1.13.0000
GSM 02.49.90
OS 3.4.0.0
Thanks
Janus

sounds like you did't run the USPL before you burned your Rom, try and do a search on this in the forum, there are plenty of fixes to get your phones up and running again.
another tip, look at the wiki and download Tmobile UK/Ger version, that should do the trick at least to get your phone running, then make sure you do the USPL before you brick it again.

I did ran the USPL.
I took a look @ the wiki, but I think those files (all of them are less then 100k) are theme files.
"T-Mobile_NL_MDA_Compact_III_1.13.114.1_NLD_ExtROM"
IPL: 3.13.0001
SPL: 3.13.0000
The USB is working
With the "PDA Phone ROM Update Utility 3.6.3.1." from HTC I tried to get the MDA functional again.
In the Verify the ROM you want to update window it says this:
From:
Image version: -blank-
To
Image version 3.13.405.1
But after 2% sometimes 7%, it says this: "Error [244]:Invaild model ID".
So maybe the USPL didn't went well.
At the Artemis_Upgrades section of the wiki there isn't a T-Mobile file to download. The language doesn't matter to me.
Which device are you guys trying to flash with a new ROM, if its a UK T-Mobile device its not got the WiFi hardware so don't go putting a ROM on the device that expects WiFi support, T-Mobile Artemis units from Holland did have WiFi built in as does the true HTC P3300 unit, the UK T-Mobile device does not - Mike

ok hear'd this one many times before, your running vista >?
try and search the forum, there is a fix for this then your phone.
@Mike it's the "Dutch" version with indeed WiFi
@Neilhhardy
No, I'm not running Windows Vista at the moment.
Me too have the same problem - flash allways stop at 2% , also can`t flash radio - stop at 73-75% - any idea?
the phone is original HTC (have Wi-Fi and not branded) - never CID locked go to bootloader without any problems but can`t flasing - I think case problem is standart HTC flasher exe - for early models have different flasher software - I have Jaf WM but Jaf WM do not support Artemis - did have released other soft that alow flashing Artemis?
P.S - I thing cause right solution is to flash your device with original version - the OEM version that was instaled by factory will fix the problem
this worked for me on a unlocked mda compact 3
format your memory card first with your pc then copy the rom file (nbh)to your memorycard and rename it to ARTEIMG.nbh
start bootloader and follow the instructions.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index..._Card_Flashing
rom i used http://makus.folijka.pl/OrbitO2UK.rar
I found the right solution and fix my phone stop at 2% is hapenind when the phone was flashed before cid unlock (bricked) and can be restored ONLY with ORIGINAL version for that phone
1. go to www.htc.com then go to support area and register your headset by they own htc serial number!!! this is most important step!
2. download update soft - the supportsite know what exactly is rirgt version and language for your pda
3. Flash your phone and will be alive
4. USPL and make after that what you want with your headset
TESTED and WORKED for dead phones(but phone must go to the bootloader)
I did a reset with the rec, pwrbutton and resetbutton. And now he's up and running agian with WM6 Haha
I tried to unlock the device with the AthenaUnlocker, but I got this error:
0x0, 0x100000, SPL-verify.nb
I think I killed him lol

I have got hold of a T-Mobile Ameo that's gone wrong whilst upgrading/unlocking, I believe they were using the Olipro way (which I've successfully done fine myself in the past) and it's now stuck in the multi colour bootloader screen which displays:
ATHE100
IPL-v2.02
ATHE100
SPL-v1.10.RP00
And although it shows USB when plugging it in to a computer it won't connect to ActiveSync so I can't get to the stage where I can re-flash it.
I have tried the hard reset by holding down the volume and pressing the reset hole, and I get to the prompt:
Press ACTION to restore factory default
Press Camera Key to exit
I then press the little nipple button down and it displays:
Restore default complete
Press Power Key to boot
Press CommManager Key to format micro drive
I press the Power Key and I'm back in the multi colour boot loader back where I started, and I canot connect to ActiveSync to reflash.
Any help to turn this paper weight back into a useful device would be appreciated...
exactly the same problem here.

Hi seckt0r,
have you tried reflashing the original rom for your device while connected to your computer in bootloader? ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Athena/Shipped_Complete_Updates/
another idea would be to try sd card flashing,(see the wiki) but you would need to extract an image from the flash utility.
One thing to note is you couldn't flash any of the newer roms as you are probably not unlocked
lakeman,
Thanks for the tips and sorry for the late reply.
I did figured out how to make it work again, and played a lot with the device
Already delivered back to the 'client'...
Active Sync issue is solved !!!
Active Sync 4.5 had changed the way it connects from USB Serial Sync Mode to RNDIS Sync Mode. So it can cause problems in connecting with PPC. Try install on your PPC the "ActiveSyncMode.sa.CAB" that you can easily find on Google & run it. Hope this might help.
same problem here i tried to upgrade with orignal rom tmobile uk but its show invalid vensor what can i do plz help thnx
got your msg ahmerp but I don't use MSN
have you tried some of the other shipped roms
if that fils you could try cmone s mtty solution to rswrite the vendor id

Can you post what is written on the bootloader screen? This will help define what rom you need to flash.
thanks lakeman
my bootloader tri color screen shows
I hv a new htc Athena (ameo t mobile uk locked).
I was trying Athena unlocker by olipro. I hv used this on a number of occasions and no problems.
With the present one it was on rom 1.12 tmobile uk and while doing Athena unlocker it crashed on first step.
In bootloader mode it shows
Athe100
Ipl-v1.00
Athe100
Spl-v1.10. RP00
It keeps giving invalid vendor id error 294 when I try to flash tmobile original rom
I have read olipro message who say that I can only repair this via pdocwrite. Apparently it’s the spl that’s corrupt so I need to repair this.
I will be very happy if u can help me with a step by step guide to repair the spl using pdocwrite or rswrite to change vender id.
I am using windows xp or windows 7 and I hv tried mtty and I can successfully connect to Athena and do info 2
It shows level=ff ie it is still locked cid.
Wdata also seems to work but even after password says pass I do not really know how to change the device id or vender id
Device id shows HTCS Þ?ÒtHTCE
I am told y olipro that this device id or spl can only be repaired via pdocwrite.
How can I do it..
Pls help me u can email me on [email protected] or hotmail.com and can add me so u can please provide me with a step by step guide repair my athena ameo

Hi guys! It's again me
I have problem with flashing my X1.
Downloaded R2AA Generic English ROM. Installed 3.5 .NET framework on my Vista 64bit(all updates, including .NET 3.5 SP1), everythings suppa - when phone is ON - active sync detects, sync works.
Problem appears in that 4 color mode, where I want to upgrade ROM.
4 colored stripes and text appears, but when i plug the USB cable in.... on X1 it shows "USB" text but active sync doesnt detect the device. I just can't sync my X1 with PC while in that "ROM 4-colored mode" - and in progression - cant update my ROM.
Pls help
I want to install R2AA original, generic UK ROM by that method:
1:enter boot mode on X1
2:connect cable to PC and activesync the device (WinMobDevCentre)
3:run RUU and instal ROM's .image file
Because of temporary leak of mem.card
Have you tried running the program when connected with USB in boot mode?
Program should detect your phone
Active Sync is passive process.
How can I manually sync it?
Im in boot mode - entering USB and - no sync - so no ROM update
1. Enter boot mode
2. Connect with USB (when first time windows has to install drivers, wait for completion)
3. Run RUU (the program should recognize your phone)
1:entered boot mode
2:connected USB - windows installed device named "Microsoft USB Sync"
3:RUU doesnt recongnize connected device (no activesync connection)- cannot be continued
Hmm, let's try something else
1. Leave phone on
2. Connect to pc and WinMobDevCen
3. Run RUU
RUU gives me message: The update ultility could not open requested file.

You're correct, generic roms have radio and spl included.
Did ruu gave an error code?
ps you do need hard-spl if you're phone was originally in another language!
It had error. But I don't remember number.
On phone it writes: upgrade ROM code error
I had Vodafone R1AA UK ROM

Probably hard-spl is installed even after the error, so you're abl to flash other rom than vodafone UK.
You can check this by going into boot mode and check what it says in the upper color bar.
it writes:
KOVS110
SPL-0.72.0000
MicroP1-787

Hello everybody, with the risk of opening an already discussed thread, I am asking for your help regarding my HTC Elf (or Elfin?).
Initially I tried to change the language from Spanish to English, with the aid of some programs like ELF USPL. The first thing that appeared on the screen when my phone turned on was an Orange(TM) logo and it did not go further than that (it shut back off). After several tries with that program and other .nbh files, I even installed an Onyx release.
Now the phone has the same attitude as with the Orange(TM) logo, but now it appears "smart mobility" and then shuts back off. When I enter the boot screen: on the red colour it says IPL 1.14.0002 and SPL 1.14.0000 followed by green, blue and a little white on which states if the USB is connected.
Can you guide me to the solution, please?

Thank you for the directions. I've followed some of them and I am in this stage: I know my device ID: ELF010050 ORANG309, got the original ROM but the same 270 problem which pops up at 2% when the phone resets and then shuts down. My CID is locked and saw in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=320155 a program called enable-rapi but requires the phone to be on to install the files. Can you help me further, please?
To the best of my knowledge, if you really had Your original Rom it'd have successfully flashed. Any other one will meet the 270 or 2% error. Enable Rapi and the rest is valid before you flash a Rom, so my best advice is to try to find the appropriate one.
After countless tries to flash that ROM, I'm still getting the 2% error. But I've noticed that I can make the tricolor screen display RUU in the top right corner by removing the battery while 0% - 2% flashed and turning the phone back on. But it doesn't work this way either, error 270 still pops up.
At this stage, I'd try other Roms http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Elf_Upgrades
I have tried all of them but with no success. Should I start with these ones now? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=379034
Try find your cid and device using the same link first and then flash
ELF010050 and ORANG309 are the CID and device, I've downloaded two seemingly original ROMs but I still get the 2% error. They were in Spanish like the original one but still didn't work.
Sorry, running out of ideas...
