Activesync Problem

Hi
Installed the Himalaya ROM successfully on my XDA II phone but my activesync refuses to sync my Contacts, Tasks, Calander and files. It recognises my divice and connects to but fails to sync the files.
can someone please help me here.
XP Sp2 installed win Outoolk 2003.

have you made outlook your default program as that does stop a sync from happening as i run 2 different email programs and that always catches me out

activesync & calendar problem

Hi, I'm having difficulties using my calendar at the moment. The calendar I'm using is Outlook 2003. I can sync my calendar if I put an appointment from my computer, but not if I add the appt from my mda vario. not sure whats happened it was working fine, any ideas would be appreciated.

You may need to look at your activesync settings, look in tools, options. Also you could try deleting the mobile device profile and then re-connect the phone and let it rebuild.

My Wizard and compute was sny.But when I install some software,It is sey not find Windows CE.Or sey not sny.

Activesync doesn't sync Outlook Calendar

I've had pocket PC's for ages, but just got a Trinity. When i synced it however it synced everything (contacts, files, etc) except the outlook calendar for no rhyme or reason.
Anyone have some advice?

I am not quite sure, but I think you can solve this by disabling the extra networking facilities through: settings, connections, USB-to-PC.

update on the situation...
i uninstalled activesync 4.5, and installed activesync 4.2... everything works perfectly.. In fact, i was even on the phone with Dopod support and while he was talking me through it, the tech support guy had the same calendar problem with activesync 4.5

calender calender and still more calender sync problems...

I went from xplodes to Build 20000.1.0.0.PV.HAT ROM to see if my calender would sync properly.
I am on XP, running outlook 2007 and using activesync 4.5. I have read the other posts and for some reason some calender items (and emails) ae not syncing ??????
?????this is one issue that is still irritating me....help!

Just to check, have you asked activesync to sync the calender?

yes, of course...
In another post they mentioned syncing adding each item one at a time eg add the inbox, then sync, then add files then sync, etc,, add calender then sync.
This method didn't work ????

Have you tried installing activesync on another computer? This would be a good idea if you have access to one. If you can't do that, it might be a problem with your install. I would suggest seeing if you could back everything up to an SD card, which should be possible through this: http://www.freewareppc.com/database/pimbackup.shtml
Then reinstall your ROM and try again.

WMDC won't sync my device

Now I'm already busy for a week solving a sync problem????
Is there anybody able to help me out?
I tried already reinstalling WMDC, Outlook, office (totally), system files for the phone, etc. ...
Fisrt I was using a Mio, cuase of some other problems (gps) I bought a HTC Diamond 2.
The mio (A701) was alwasy on win XP (active sync) no problems, on WMDC it connects, I can search folders, etc. but it won't sync my office outlook mail, contacts, etc.
Normally after the first sync with (active sync) I was able to choose which maps I wanted to sync with my device.
When it connects and I make my preferences in the categories (contacts, mail, etc.) it sends the relationship to my device.
So in short everything works only the sync with oulook won't work.
I suppose the prob is in WMDC or outlook? Somebody having a solution for this problem?
