won't start up

I bought a mda pro on the internet but he won't startup...
On the screen appears "USB v1.01"...
Nothing else happens...
How can i fix it so windows mobile 5 or 6 starts?

you need to use the search button. i have done some of the work for you but dont expect that everyone else will do th same.
my fisrt guess would be a bad flash but hopefully you can get you universal out of tht state. look at the following threads but seruosly you need to search so you can learn is not that easy but at the end you will be proud of yourself that you actually did something on your on and not that other people did it for you thats lame if you know what i mean. good luck

Hermes not boot pass Operator screen...Help!!

Any suggestions????

Sorry...will not boot pass the Operator logo screen. Any suggestions on how to resolve??

my hermes 100 also can't start its windows mobile...

Try a hard reset.
We need more information... Whats your SPL, have you installed Hard SPL? Whats your ROM, stock or cooked? We here aren't mind readers and need the information to give you advice. Some reading on your part would help too. Try this -

Wow...you guys are awesome...i'm back up and running by doing a hard reset. Phone has been down for about 8 months...i was about to throw it away.

Orange rom v1.59

I plucked up courage to flash this rom,I knew I shouldn't have,I am in trouble now,Colours missing,screen not responding,will not sync with PC,cannot hard reset by either method.So at a complete loss,any ideas would be a help.
Have to go out now will not be able to respond for a few hours.

You may have a problem with the SPL as you are using a non-stock ROM..
Don't panick, the [HSPL]Hard-SPL for Blackstone thread details how to restore the stock SPL if things go wrong, and how to install an updated Hard SPL or USPL for the purposes of using non-stock ROMs.
Found an additional page (HTC_Blackstone_Rom 156) concerning ROM flashing and SPL problems you may find useful.

For what it`s worth I too had the courage to first time flash my hd with the official Orange update today.
I have to say that I had no problems at all....as I have read elsewhere it DOES seem to have made the whole phone respond quicker....Opera seems a lot faster, google maps is a lot faster and generally seems worthwhile.
Hope that helps someone decide wether to or not.

It seems to work very well, however, there seems to be a bug with notifications... When I set email or sms to display a message on screen, it becomes unticked the next day!!
This is really frustrating... Going to try a hard reset to see if that helps!
Anyone else seeing that?

please help im wishing to upgrade my offical rom from 1.43 to 1.48 but says my phone is not suitable??????im totally thick coming from nokia to windows,i did use search but was unable to find the answer.

Can you post up the exact error message you are getting please?

got a major problem now ive tried to update to 1.48 but it crashed now i get a warning traingle on start up,and can go into bootloader screen and it says upgrade rom code error please try again???someone please help.i hope i havent bricked my phone

Is your HD2 branded? (bought it in combination with a contract?)

Have you tried to hard reset your phone to see if the old rom boots up again?
If it does not then you might want to reflash your existing rom onto your phone using the SD card method (look at the threads at the top of the Rom Development page to find what you are looking for).
If it works and you are still keen to upgrade the rom you need to read the threads on using either the Goldcard or HardSPL methods to upgrade.
Come back and let us know how you got on.

hi mate i was having the exact same probs as the chap in the hd2 bricked thread,same messages etc and stopping at 9% i took there advice and reflashed the hpsl again which has worked a treat,i'm now a little dubious bout trying to upgrade as i don't fancy bricking it.
ive emailed htc to see why i cant upgrade from 1.43 to 1.48 seems odd it says my phone isnt suitable.

OK, wait until you hear back from them. However if you are now up and running and have installed HardSPL, I think you will find that flashing a new radio on its own might help solve your problems.
I think if you look at the thread you were referring to (this one...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=618084), IIRC, MysticGenius runs through a procedure for doing this that helped him sort out a similar problem.

PS: Lesson learned here though is to read exhaustively on the topics on here BEFORE jumping in as fixing problems later can be both time consuming, if you are lucky, and a pain in the rear. As for that horrible sick feeling you get when you think you have bricked £500 worth of phone....wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy!

Yet another Telus S510 Bricked - Help needed

So i've been asked to unlock a this phone as a favor
So got home after having some drinks(not the best idea) and tried unlocking it
Long story short i installed a wrong spl as i understand and now the phone stays on the splash screen
I did lots of research in the forum, allot of ppl have the same problem, but didnt find a complete answer on how to fix this
as i now understand i should first application unlock it, then hard spl and then flash custom rom
On the Bootloader it says
"cEDA100
SPL-0-39.0000
MicroP-Cedar.W(LED) v58B"
And on the bottom "Serial" witch as i now understand means its not application unlocked?
So when i try to flash it it allways stays on 0%
And as i said it stops on the htc splash screen
Tried hard resetting the first way, but nothing. Cant find the original telus rom and i dont have an htc donor to do the 3rd hard reset way
Any help would be much appreciated right now guys ASAP cause am leaving canada by 2mrw
