Beam via cmd line? - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Is there any app that could beam a file given as parameter? Optionally with possibility to specify (by cmd line) the "medium" to use (IR/BT)?
It would be handy for beaming own vCard with one tap...

Skschema and voice speed dial

I'm trying to launch an skschema script with a voice command. The script works fine and I can run it from traylaunch. But when I add a voice tag to it, it reverts to the Today page without running the script, but also with no error (it identifies the voice command, but the script doesn't execute).
Voice speed dial (the native WM5 program) will execute other programs (e.g. calculator) on my T-Mobile MDA. I have two different skschema scripts and it won't execute either one of them by voice. I tried adding a sleep 5000 command to the first command so that it would delay execution but that didn't help. I also tried creating a shortcut to the script file, rather than using the sScript, but that didn't help either.
Anyone encounter this? It would make it so handy to do complicated things without getting the stylus out. (I'm trying to get it to empty the deleted emails and then sync, which deletes them from the server.)

can you post script text?
Sure
Both programs I have tried to implement with voice speed dial are listed here in the third post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=49187
I tried attaching voice tags to both of these programs. (I'm using the native voice command in WM5.) Both operate properly by clicking on them, including in Traylaunch or in Programs/sScript. I have other programs (e.g. calculator) accessible by voice commands, so it isn't a problem with running programs in voice command. Both fail in the same way -- the voice command reverts to the today screen.

Transfer via Bluetooth

Hi,
I have this annoying problem with my Prophet. I cannot transmit or receive files through bluetooth. I thought it is a WM 5 thing, but it works on my friends smartphone and dell PDA.
Did i do the ROM upgrade incorrectly, or is this inline with the patch of bad luck that i am getting with my prophet?
Cheers,
Oz.
Hi
Go to settings>connections>beam and make sure its ticked to "recieve all incoming beams"
To send files just search them using the provided file explorer, tap and hold and then select "beam file"
IT will then search for nearby BT devices. Click tap to send.
You can beam to loads of ppl at once as well, so thats cool.
The one thing I cant work out as of yet is how to change my default recieve directory from My Documents. I want to recieve files on my storage card *grrr* but I guess it will ahve to do for now.
Beaming a file searches INFRARED ports nearby as far as i know.
To send files via bluetooth i (try to) use RESCO EXPLORER which has "send file to bluetooth recipient" command but i've never succeeded. The transfer windows opens but closes suddenly. Even with the desktop set to receive file via bt tray icon.
Any clue?
I only tried this once but it worked fine (and it's odd that it did).
I selected "beam file" from the built in explorer while BT was open and another device with open BT was near by. It opened the usual dialog for IR, but then a second line appeared, the BT device (which had no IR port) was detected and I successfully transferred the file.
Odd, that BT doesn't have a separate interface, but if it works, it works...
Oh yes. It works via BT by beaming from File Explorer. I succeded to send a file to my PC at last. Thanx for the trick...
However the PC must absolutely set to RECEIVE FILE via BT tray icon even though its bluetooth is active.

In mobile 5, how to get the attached file information in the compose dialog?

I am doing a plug-in for the pocket pc inbox application. My application implemented the IMessageFormEx interface and called the Microsoft's htmlnote.dll to create and display the original message form. My application hooked on the Microsoft message form and did some additional tasks.
What I want to do is to get the attached file data without closing the form when the user clicks on the "Send" button.
In pocket pc 2003, when a file is attached, the data is written to the MAPI database directly so I could read the MAPI message to get the file data.
In mobile 5, before the message is saved to the draft or sent out, the attached file name and path are stored in the memory. After the user saves or sends out the message, the attachment is written to the MAPI database. But at the same time, the form is closed.
I couldn't find how the attached file was stored in the compose form. In mobile 5, Microsoft used the "PIEHTML" control to collect the user input data. The attachment list was directly drawn by this control. I couldn’t find any documentation on this control.
Is there any ways to get the attached file data without closing the message form?
Thank you very much!

[Q]Bluetooth:How/Can I send files

Was trying to bluetooth a video to a friends phone today but couldn't find an option for it.How do you do it???
yeah i was trying to send a cab file to a friend but couldnt do it with file explorer.. would be good to know..
goto start/programs/pictures and videos (might be a different path depending on your rom)
select the picture (or whatever) you want to send and tap & hold
in the menu that pops up select beam...
you'll get the usual "select a device" screen: tap on the device you want the file to be sent
setup the passcode (both devices must enter a passcode that matches, i suggest something simple like 0000 or 1234)
done
NOTE you must enable bluetooth (duh), can be done in two ways:
from TF3D interface, scroll to the "settings" page
click comm manager
and tap bluetooth
OR
goto start/settings/connections/bluetooth
second tab called "mode" check "turn on bluetooth" and "make this device visible to other devices"
it's simpler than what it seems

and be sure to have bluetooth enabled
i just successfully sent an xml file from phone to pc

MS Voice Command & Object Push - Two q's

Good Evening guys,
Just a quicky
Firstly I have installed MS Voice command but how do I program in voice dials? I want to be able to use voice dialing while driving and I have programmed the button so I can dial using voice but can't find anywhere to actually program them in.
Secondly My handsfree for the car supports downloading the address book to it by object push. I have done it with other phones but I am guessing I can't do it with this one? Is that correct?
Thanks in advance,
Max
What handsfree kit are you using ?
r
Andrew
By default, MS Voice Command maps it to a long press of the Send key.
And not sure what you mean by "program in voice dials" as MS Voice Command doesn't need you to record you saying a person's name, it figures it out via speech to text.
