What device are you using?

Go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=270751
It's in the Prophet forum but should work on any Omap 850 device running WM5.

Personally I have qtek 8310, I need a piece of source code for OMAP850 cpu. I've ended my googling with OMAP5912 DPLL register programming but still have no information on 850...

Overclock Wizard

Has anybody figured out how to get the Omap processor overclocked and stay overclocked? I cant seem to find anything on it?
Thanks!
SmartSKey has an option in it that does exactly what you're looking for. I've also seen people use MemMaid to start up OmapClock whenever the device wakes up.
Old subject.
Yes, and it works

YES!!
Can you run SPB benchmark so i can compare the proccessor to my XDAIIi. Would love to see how well it preforms next to my over-clocked machine. After more than 18month differance i'm hoping the TYTN performs well!
cheers!
IT CAMEEEEE FROM EBAYYYY (a little somethinf for ATOS fans) Sure I can benchmark it, let me know what program you want me to use.

What test do you want me to run...just the CPU?
I would be v interested in some battery tests - compared against the wizard if poss. Seen v little info on this so far.

What provider do you have? Also does the 3G work on that provider? Also what speed do you get on previously mentioned connection?
I know that's a lot to ask, thanx in advanced =)

Run the SPB benchmark, and give me the values, so I can have another graph that has Charmer, Magician and others. See example here

Anyone know where I can get Wizard SPB benchmarking results?
I have Cingular, I don't get a signal in my house. I only get UMTS down the road. I did go somewhere earlier and I did get a UMTS signal, and I only had a chance to open IE and browse to google.com. It was much faster than the wizard. I will run speed tests when I go to my girlfriends in about 2 hours.

Band Tab?
Could you check if you have this Band Selection Tab in Phone Settings. I have been searching for the registry details of HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting
Would you please do me this favor posting the registry details of the above entry
My device has ShowTimeZonesPage and ShowPIN2Page only. I wonder if yours does anything else. Still working on adding this Band Selection TAB.
Thank you in advance!
I do have the band selection tab. Here is the registry export from that key.
Band Tab
Many thanks!!! You are the best. I tried to copy your settings and my phone (Cingular 8125 with Dopod 838 ROM) accepted them. Sure thing my model has no guts to support UMTS etc, however I've got these long awaited and "all-the-websites-and-forums" searched settings in place. Having tested my Cingular SIM on manual network type switching (GSM/WCDMA/UMTS/AUTO resulted in default of AUTO net pickup. Soon after I open the Band Tab all visible selections go transparent. Well there got to be something else that holds this selection in Auto intstead of for instance GSM only. Despite all this and that I am happy to have the TAB.
Thanks again!!!

All of them would be good, but I guess that you can skip the battery test as it may take forever. Other benchmarking can be all done less than 2 hours. It would be nice if you can hardreset your device to avoid having other applications hogging the resources.
It would be super to see what inside of the HTC is hidden. I would love to compare your new HTC reg key to the previous HTC Wizard. If it is not too much asking would you post this one: HKLM\Software\HTC
Thank you!

Hi!
For your info, everything is already been tested here!

But there are lots of review about TYTN, if you want to read them, please join my group HTC TYTN at:

Okay I got a chance to run some UMTS speetests from broadbandreports.com mobile ste. I ran four tests o the 1MB test here were the results in order:
343 kbits/sec
887 kbits/sec
887 kbits/sec
832 kbits/sec
I had 1 bar of reception.

Overclock Capability

Hi,
I overclocked my Prophet about a week ago to 301MHz and have it seems to be very stable - i've had no freezing the whole time whilst browsing the web, send emails and watch streaming video via orb. I just wanted to know if anyone has been able to push the Prophet any further to get an idea about its overclock capability. I know the phone in most cases remains working if you clock it to high but my Tornado seems to have slowed down after I overclocked it too much and I don't want that to happen with this one aswell.
Thanks
The highest speed I can OC my prophet to stably is 286. The chips all behave slightly differently so one may clock higher than others...
cool thanks!!
I advise you not to overclock it that much. At least not in a regular basis. It is a good idea tu use the scalar mode. You can find that setting on BatteryStatus plugin.
someone can tell me the name of a overcloker ?
id proved 2 types of programs (turbotry, other) with no results.
anyone knows a cool program tooverclock a Prophet - qtek200 and WM5 ?
thanks a lot
Try Battery Status, I've been using this for a very long long time with many cool features other than overclocking......trust me and try it....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=270751
Does anyone know if batterystatus is available for WM6.1 standard on tornado?
No idea! I'd check the website http://www.chi-tai.info/
thanks! i will check it out
for wm6.1
i could not see in the web site
which proggram can you advise to me for use wm6.1

Hi,
The program your looking for is omapclock, however this only temporarily overclocks the cpu. To overclock over a longer period of time you will need tornado power control (which comes with omapclock) - I have attached a file
Let me know how you get along!

Due to the browser opera 9 is running slowly (when I drag pages), I guess maybe hardware speed up can solve this software problem ...
Maybe somebody can tell me, how to increase the browser speed or release cpu's clock speed ?
Thanks~

Which kernel? Maybe the kernel did not support this or you have no root(don't think so). Lack of features in kernel manager always leads to one of those two things I mentioned.
In addition, check how many cores you have online - it may be that the Kernel Manager may not be able to detect settings if you have too many cores sleeping/offline.

I think that too, thx
This happens when all the cores of small cluster is sleeping! since they are sleeping you cannot tweak them!
