I unlocked my Atom Exec hidden partition and now that partition has been lost.
Now my storage has 116MB as picture attached here.
Could some one help me please!
The only way to solve this is by a complete reflash of the same ROM or newer, which would replace the contents of your hidden partition in the process. You have to download the official DSUU for your Atom Exec from O2's site, and run it while the device is connected through Activesync.
(I guess this is why the hack ROM of the Exec for the original Atom doesn't work right, eh?)

Thank you!
I tried reflash Atom-Exec rom 20060721B1WWE but flash rom only write new rom data, not create a partition as factory default. So the same error occurred.
Is there a partition tool for Atom Exec like Bigstorage for O2XDAII?
Normally the rom comes complete with extended rom. Is that a hack version u r using?
I flashed the rom 20060721B1WWE 3 day ago, every thing is OK but it is not stable.
After a hard reset, it lost extended rom (hidden storage). Now I can't run O2 camera and radio apps. I found out that storage memory increased to 116MB. It mean that the hidden partition been erased and gave space to storage.
Sad!
Kept trying reflash Atom-Exec with rom 20060721B1WWE. Proplem solved.
Thank you!

During the flashing process my Qtek complete gone, no ROM available I just get blank screen, my question is, could I use other Qtek to back-up ROM to the SD card or hard disk (with new program), after then I can use this back-up to restore my ROM? Or What I can I do to restore the Qtek to a factory default state?
Thanks
im sure u can, atleast I did on my t-mobile ppc.
if u cant write to SD card... take the card to a dealer or
show room display, insert the card, boot to bootloader (reset +push on)
and write urself a boot image on your SD card...
i know it worked for me !
What ROM you are talking about CE or GSM ?
hello
please find some information about Flashing your Qtek ROM using the 'SD Card' or 'Bootloader' Method
http://www.xda-developers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1717
i hope this could help to recover your device back to normal but if it was GSM or Radio upgrade there's another method you can use the search tool here to get it and how to fix it
best regards and good luck

Hi,
My magician is O2 Mini -
I was running QTEK 1.11 with MKS big storage patch.. then today I flashed my magician with O2 1.11 ROM (no big storage) ..everything seems to work fine but I noticed that I no longer have storage folder in my magician..
Can anybody confirm this problem? and does anybody have any solution for this?
Thanks
NR
Is your Storage folder gone but the EXT_ROM (after running LoadVDisk) still visible? Then it could be that the Storage is set too big when downgrading and therefore ignored. The Ext_ROM takes space needed from the available flash and the rest can be used for the storage. Since you set your storage to 27 MB before, it could be that this size information is still saved (maybe on the flash itself) but not accepted, since it isn't completely available anymore. Maybe you'd need some formatting tool which is capable of formatting the internal storage and displays it, even though the Explorer doesn't. Maybe you give that a try.
Any other idea ? Does somebody did the same ?
reverse engineering? may be try changing the hex back to the original value.

If MkBigStorage have done that it would have been the perfect tool...
Hi all !
My Question ist, how the bootloader saves the image, if the used card is bigger than the rom? The image doesn't seam to be empty after the first 64Mbytes....
anybody knows something?
greetz MatteZ
The non-emptiness after 64MB is just the garbage what was present before dumping your rom.
You can check it by writing a specific pattern to your SD & then dump your rom.
Regards, M
after some testing i came to the same result^^
But, thanks for answering! I'm sure you wasn't the only one who knows this!

Probably most readers had a 'well that's obvious dude' experience.
I found out that some people on the board are really inexperienced with any kind of computers & can be helped with a small explanation.
Cheers, M
??? im not to good with my ppc, are you sayin that you can install ur rom on to an sd card??? if so, does his meen that there is the 64mb fre on the ppc storage?
if this is right, can u tell me how?
Unfortunately not. You can dump your rom on a SD-Card & save that to your hard-disk or what-ever. The magician won't boot from your SD in a way that you can free up your internal rom-memory. Man I wish it would.
You can supply a new rom to your magician in two ways: the first is with active sync and the second is via a rom-image on a sd-card. The bootloader will recognize the rom-image on the sd & start flashing it into it's internal rom memory.
So Mattezh question was about dumping his internal rom on a sd-card. If you do this & save the rom image on your PC the program to read the image from your sd will not know where the rom image ends. So it just copy every bit from your sd to your PC & that's why there's a lot of garbage in the saved image after the 64MB size of the image.
Understandable? I hope cause I know I sometimes tend to write a bit weird, I know
Hello all. Just wondering if i could get some help on how to resolve this. I just bought this Imate jam modified with the 128mb memory module. It was at 1.11 rom. I wanted to use the new bluetooth stack so i upgraded to the 1.12 rom shipped. When i look at settings, 7mb of memory is now missing and also backup battery states None. What happened here? What can i do? Thanks
Did you happen to make a SD backup of your rom prior to upgrading it? It almost sounds like there's an address wrong in the new rom. 7MB is about the size of the original internal Storage folder.
You can try the upgrade again, but if this helps?
Regards, M
Yes I did, and went back to it. but the problem still persists. i also tried upgrading and same thing. i hope its not a hardware problem.Any registry changes i can look up?
AFAIK not, BIG Storage is about changing adresses in the rom-image & sounds very simular. Of course it might be a hardware problem :-(. Do you have any kind of warranty?
Regards, M
hmm.i never tried the big storage rom...hopefully that can address it. no warranty, i had this jam upgradedfrom 64 to 128mb. for some reason now, the backup battery is now intermittently coming on and off. looks like a hardware fault.
Hello all, did all the correct things by saving to SD card using mtty etc. Experimented with assorted roms then low and behold went back to re installing orignial backup from SD, by the pda doesn't 'see' the backup. Any clues on this one?? Failing all suggestions, is there an actual o2 Asia ROM 1.11.923 complete out there that I could download?
Well for some totally unknown reason, the Sd restore worked. This was after several attempts of writing a modified version rom, re writing the 416b header, renaming the rom and writing back to the sd card and so forth....then...re- wrote the original backup rom file to sd card and to my astonishment it worked. It would still be good to have the actual 1.11.923 O2 setup rom on this site.
