How do I silence a call without pressing "Ignore" - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

When I press ignore the caller gets a network busy dial tone. Is there a silence button?

Jog Wheel

Hey you're right. Is there a way to map another key for this purpose?

scroll wheel mutes it. just give it a spin during the ringing

Muting when the phone ringing

Hi;
is there any body know; how could I make stop ringing when I neither dont
want to answer the call nor send a busy tone
PS: at the Magician I could do this process with the volume keys
Its the same - volume keys!
I use Ringo 2005 as a ring tone manager , I think it prevents to use the volume keys
volume key down once, mutes it and the buzzer.
however, you cant turn the ring/buz on again during that ring-session.

Click to collapse
is there any only one button to do it? just silence?
You want the phone to continue ringing but just silence it?
Because when you get a call in the bottom there is "answer" and "ignore". Then again if you press ignore the one calling is directed to voicemail or just hung up.
As far as I know thats the only way to immediately mute a phonecall, just press ignore.
And otherwise just use the volume slider when someone is calling. Or put the phone on vibrate when you need silence (which is also volume slider all the way down, or put it on vibrate via the com-manager).
thanks. you mean only way to silence it using volume slider when want to continue ringing. i don't want to ignore calling. the caller must be think i didn't hear the ringing...
hehe lol
Perhaps an extra program on the device would work. Inesoft Addressbook might support it.
Have it here somewhere, can check later today if it indeed has a mute button.
Just to say it more clearly: If you move the volume slider one time in any direction, the phone will mute imediately!
I think this was not understood correctly before - this is the one-key-solution you wanted, isnt it?
thanks... it works!!!

[software request] is there a software that can adjust in-call volume?

i use O2 xda flame
i wanna it automaticly adjust the in-call volume to the top when i inputed a number and pressed the "talk"button,Or when a incoming call comes and i pressed the "answer" .
the reason why i need it:my flame(perhapt also yours)'s volume in call is always too small(not at the top) even your vomlue bar is at top.and which is more seriosly, sometimes a call comes, you pressed the answer, and you may hear nothing(but he/she can hear you w/o problem).
the two problem above can be solved by pressing the volume+ key during the call, and as soon as you pressed it,you can hear him/her in highest volume,but....
sounds it's easy, but i need to press it almost every call.i hate doing repeated things.so,is there a software can help me "press" the volume+ key?
check out phone weaver
Using the profile of phone weaver, you can adjust the in-call volume.

Pocket calls

Obviously the phone dials the last dialed number when the button on the headset is pressed twice. It bothers me, because I keep making pocket calls.
Does anyone know how to turn off the redial function by pressing the button on the headset twice?

How to ignore a call?

When the screen is off and a call comes in, I get the "swipe down to answer" thing. You can press the volume buttons to mute the ring. Is there any way to just ignore the call and send it to voicemail?
Basically you just "swipe up" to do that
