Pocket calls - XPERIA X1 General

Obviously the phone dials the last dialed number when the button on the headset is pressed twice. It bothers me, because I keep making pocket calls.
Does anyone know how to turn off the redial function by pressing the button on the headset twice?

Also, has anybody found a way to dial a phone number which contacts more than 10 digits. After loading them into my contacts, I can get the phone to dial more than the first 10 digits! In addition, it ignores the P= pause as well as #...

If you have not notice yet, do you see that button with red phone picture below the right soft key? That ends all calls.
Yeah, I figured out the disconnect using the red button, but still can't figure out how to dial a 20 digit number (calling card)???
Anybody? Help?

Make a call using headset

On nokias, you can dial a number with the headset in by holding the call button down; after a few seconds u hear a beep. After this beep, you can say the naem of the contact, and it will begin to call the contact.
Is this possible on the Universal; ie. is there a way to launch the voice command program using the wired headset?
Thanks

Bluetooth headset - disable the "dial last number" funtion

Hello again.
I have a Motorola H320 Bluetooth handsfree (and I'm rating it 5/10 btw) .
It has 1 button. When I press it once it activates the voice dialer.
If I keep it pressed for 1 second ,it dials the last number on my recent call list.
I keep the headset in my pocket and it always get this one key pressed & dials the last number.
What I want is to disable the last call dial function of the phone. Is this possible?
Only solution I found so far is to always delete the recent call list...
Thanks in advance
(edit) I have the Faria 3.3 ROM (/edit)
the only think i can think of is to turn the headset off when you put it in your pocket
i have a jabra bt500 and i usually take mine off turn it off before i put it in my pocket and if i get a call my press and hold to turn back on the headset is probably bout 3 secs so i can answer the phone in a fair amount of time

Calls being put on hold / redialing number?

My 8525 has a weird problem. When I call someone, if I hold the phone too firmly while talking to them, the phone will put the caller on hold as we are talking and then it will redial the same number, in effect calling the same person twice.
I have disabled all of the buttons on it so I know I'm not pushing a button with my hands or face while talking.
Has anyone else had this issue?

[Q] Bluetooth Voice Dialing

Where can I find information on how to handsfree initiate a call from a bluetooth headset? My understanding is that Android 2.2 Froyo supports this. I have my Plantronics 975 headset synced and working, but can't get voice dial to initiate. Pressing the button on the headset just makes a beep, but doesn't do anything on the phone. Pressing the button twice redials the last number, but it did that on my old G1 with Android 1.6.
Is anyone using a Plantronics 975 with a G2? Does voice dialing work for you?
Thanks,
Tauren

No idea about the plantronics. With my headset (Sony DR-BT22), pressing the call button on the headset starts the voice dial app (audio through the headset) and a long-press performs a redial.
I figured it out and feel stupid now. But just in case someone else is having trouble, here's the answer...
* Hold down the main button for 2 seconds and voice dial starts (see http://bit.ly/bO0Gvo)
* Double press the main button and redial starts
* If bluetooth is not connected, single press the main button to connect.
* Not sure what a single press does if the connection is already established.
I never tried a long press because a really long press shuts the headset off. I didn't even think that there might be a "short long press" and a "long long press".
On my Moto H17 BT headset, it seems a single press on the button initiates the voice dialer on my G2, and a "short long press" redials.
