Problem after upgrade to WM6. Please help!

I have serious problem with my PDA SPV M2000 after upgrade to WM6. After upgrade i try to restart my PDA with Hard Reset, but can see only 4 collored screen. I can acess only bootloader mode and nothing else... PLEASE HELP

I try all the steps 5 times but nothing. I try use WM6 from helmi and xpode. With the same resolution. Now i try to downgrade to WM2003...

the grey screen with serial v 2.07 is the bootloader mode...
maybe a reflash will do the trick...
how did you screw up the upgrading process? did you accidentally unpluged the cable? is it a corrupted file?
I have never experienced this, but, if i were you, I would reflash it. if nothing good come up,then maybe the file you are using to upgrade is corrupted...
hope this helps, and maybe the experts would have more ideas cause i am just a user.....

I've upgrade to WM6.0 pdaviet, but can't use GSM network : no services...

Ibhave a tmobil MDA amd i did an upgrade to windows mobile 6 and now my MDA is slow in most of the programs also the SMS when inserting any messages the words do not show after at least 10 sec.
Please, definelly need help.

Have you performed HARD RESET?
What ROM did you use for flashing?
(also some installed programs may slow down your device a lot!)

I had the same problem. From time to time whem im flashing my phone its happening. After few soft resets it'll be ok.

Hp 6945 Stuck at Serial and Hp invent logo

Hello Everyone
I need big time help. I just bought Hp 6945 and I tried to update GSM rom from 1.02 to 1.08, while updating it says update fail and try to restart Ipaq and start again. Now My problem is Ipaq just stuck to Hp invent logo. I tried to reset and hard reset and remove battery but notthing work.
I need help
Could some please help me to How to fix this problem?

same BS happened to me. the only way to fix it is to load the UK 6915 ROM. thats the ONLY way to fix it. AVOID this update do not try to update the radio. I bricked my phone doing this. STILL looking for a solution. Radio stack is daamged.

Solution:
this is what I did to get this fixed.
1) Get the battery out of the iPaq, and wait for a few minutes while the "serial" image fades away slowly.
2) In the meantime, prepare your cradle, plugged into the AC charger and plugged via USB to your PC.
3) After a few minutes, with the screen of the iPaq completely gray, put the battery and battery cap back on (with our without SIM card), and put it on the cradle immediately.
4) The iPaq should start coming back to life, as if it were being hard reset. Let is stay on the welcome screen (i.e., do not tap it or anything).
5) Restart the upgrade process, it should proceed from there OK

There is another update at HP website, which is software update. After installing that everything working fine.

can anyone help? i just bricked my ipaq 6965 too. had already followed those few instructions without any success.. what do you mean by "with or without SIM card"?

After a soft reset, mine's stuck at the initial blue/white boot screen.
Hard reset doesn't work (assuming its call + hang up + power + poke reset).
Ideas?

If you are stuck on a HP Invent Screen, with G.39, etc.
And you have tried to hard reset and softreset with no luck, this is what you do.
XP Instructions:
1. Download this link http://www.mediafire.com/?3ygfbx0sjdy
2. In the taskbar area in the right hand corner, right click on activesync, bare with me, I'm using Vista and have to remember this, click connections..., you need to uncheck everything click ok or apply...
3. press ctrl-alt-delete, end process wscescomm.exe, (named something like that, end the process.
4. Extract the file you downloaded if needed.
5. Connect your device to the usb port on your computer.
6. Run Uni Exit Bootloader Application. Done
Vista Instructions:
1. Download these 2 links, and extract them if necessary.

2. Start Device Manager, (Start-Control Panel, Class View[Far Left Corner])
3. Connect HW6900 to USB port, you should now see a Mobile Devices (Next to + sign), Double Click

5. Click have disk, Browse to location where USBAS is extracted, choose the wceusbsh.inf file, Double Click.
6. You should see Microsoft USB Sync, if not and it reverts back to the already installed file, and the box rechecks itself, uncheck it, choose microsoft, and choose the latest Microsoft USB Sync to install

i get error 402.... times out and no can do.... what was that about german language... maybe i just need it spelled out. which screen does the unit need to be in. there is two... monochrome serial vs usb and there is the hp logo blue and white screen frozen indefinitely... please help i love this phone...

Man,r u sure the above can work well???? Confusing......I did the above like u indicated,but it's not work on my device HP6915,could u make it in details how u fixed the problem of updating ur device,thanks!

Firmware 614c update failed !! HELP !?!

Hello Guys,
i am getting crazy witch my ipaq. I downloaded the newest firmware for my uk ipaq. I startet the HP RUU and everything was ok, till my notebook chrashed during the firwmware update....
So my ipaq only hangs on the start screen. What can i do ? I`ve read here in this forum that someone started the SDLoader and the RUU found the ipaq and startet an new update. But i dont get it work, i tried it several times, but my computer doesnt recognize the ipaq ?! (In the Device Manager there is no new usb device)
The Ipaq shows after the SDLoader started: Update Error! Pls Check!
What i doing wrong ? I am getting crazy with this thing !!! Please help, or please can someone give me a tutorial for a noob (i am not one, but now i think i am...) ?

You can check this:
- connect ipaq (running, no matter what error on the screen) to pc, run hp upd utility, try to update
- run SD loader, and the same way - connect to pc, run hp upd
- try hard reset (?)
I hope one of this helps. If no, I have on idea besides hp service.

and then Windows-Screen showed up. So then i could install the new firmware again and now everything is ok.
So possible this can help anybody if he bricked his 614c !!

[Q]HTC elf : Cannot Hard Reset/Read info.

I have a HTC ELF 0100 i want to change the language to english but i cant make anything. I try to hard reset the phone but this also is impossible. there is Windows mobile 6.1 installed in it.
Things you might need to know:
I HOLD the green and red Button and click on reset - for hard reset but nothing happens
To update an english rom i need to CID unlock. but this also fails saying ERROR 260.
And when try to upload a COOK rom it says ERROR 260 and the HTC screen become black i.e standy mode. it does not goes to the BOOTLOADER mode!
Where is the PROBLEM please help urgent !!

im sorry to tell u, but probably u dont have and elf. its a clone.
search the forum for clone info.

But i can assure you it an original one. Not clone or china made. But one things is that the battery is not an original one.
But i can assure you that the mobile is original. Not a China made.

Hi man thx for the REPLY but this also i tried !! it does not shows anything !! Only giving Data UNKONw or something like that!
I was able to install ENABLERAPI.cab to make the above PROGRAM work.
i want to know why the ElF is not able to HARD RESET.... I HOLD the TWO BUTTONS [red&green] and PRESS RESET but it never enter the HARD reset..
Very Strange and time comsuming for me i need a REAL solution !!

Big chance your phone is a fake.. I'm sorry man..
Perhaps if you posted some pictures of your device (also the backside without the cover, and one without the battery) some might be able to help you figure out what's going on.

T3238 Touch "3G" Clone HELP (Bricked K3)!

I flash this phone with a wrong image, and now only a white screen appear.
Is impossible to make any key combination to get to the "download screen" or "update via k3img.bin".
But if i connect the cel via activesync I can see it on the desktop via trueconnection or any other remote control software (the cel is "working").
Some days ago, i make a dump of this cell and I have it on my computer (via pdocread), so my idea is to use the pdocwrite to at least write the first part00 to reprogram the buttons, so i can use a k3img.bin (in chinese... better than nothing) again.
But the software says that the partition is write protected, and I try almost all ways to unlock the Extended_ROM on windows and still says that is write protected.
Can u, masters of the cell phones help me?

Im facing the very same problen, so if some more knowledged might help us.
As Beastworm already described - I am too unable to get Download mode because of wrong button mapping.

and, what .img u use to reflash the phone?

I installed the app, connected the phone & waited until it was recognized as windows mobile. Started the IDT before the first aid kit & used image: P638M30_TH_UI1_L12_C7_CHS_MFGW_WM650_C02SPC002R01_091203.bin (WM6.5 Chinese).
After the IDT was waiting for the phone to connect, I started up the first aid kit & simply clicked Download mode and the IDT took care of the rest.
It took me two flashes to get it right, but after that it's been working as expected.
Im not sure, but if you're running either windows vista or 7, you might wanna run the first aid kit as an administrator.

btw. The 6.1 chinese rom, have a good button mapping.

i have a dump of a english too. But I don't know how to convert it as a .bin too
NEWS: MY PHONE IS ALIVE AGAIN (in a windows XP machine)
but.... i flash another bad rom , and now all is flipped like a mirror (and the buttons are still bad mapped )
The K3 First aid kit don't work now (it recognizes it, but when i press "download mode" the phone don't restart). Is a very clean spanish rom of 6.1, so i think that p638chinesestuff.cab that is installed when a hard reset is done, is the responsible to k3firstaid work.
So i will try to extract it from the dump, and install it on the phone, and try to reflash again.
Why I flash a bad rom?... i have a file with the name "K3imgCHI61.bin" and I think thats was the chinese 6.1.... but not. It is the Chilean (my country) 6.1

I read somewhere (I don't now where) that somebody solved the problem with the mirrored screen after flashing a new rom. He made a hard reset and after aligning screen everything was o.k.

And the startup clean via settings don't work.
