Here is what I think I know...Trying to install Motorola H700 Bluetooth headset, I somehow lost the phone capability on a Verizon XV6700. Searched for EVERYTHING to fix this, including mtty. Mtty does not give me a USB option, so again, I am back to square one. Anyone have any ideas how to convert the $400 PDA back into a $400 PDA/phone?
did you make sure to disable the usb on activesync before running mtty?
Have you tried running the latest verizon rom upgrade direct from verizon on your phone?

Hi, I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have faria's WM6 rom version 5.2.318 installed on my 8125. When I try to connect to my pc via the bluetooth, the pda doesn't see any services on my computer. The computer also does not see any services on my pda. The computer is running vista x64. I am using the default microsoft bluetooth stack with a silicon wave bt usb dongle. I was hoping to sync via the bluetooth and maybe use the pan features, but no services show up. My pc can see my 8125 and my 8125 can see my pc. They connect to one another, but like I said, there are no services... I tried going back to the t-mobile 2.26 rom and even back to my original cingular rom, but still no luck. I assume this issue is on my PC side, but I was hoping maybe one of you knew what the issue might be. If I posting in the wrong area, please delete my thread. Thanks for the Help!
I know it has been a long time but did you ever figure out your issues? Was it just with the ROM or did you ever get BT working with Vista and Sync?
Hello developers and members, I've searched the forum for this but I can't seem to find anything or maybe I'm looking wrong but heres my question.
I have a T-Mobile MDA (Wizard) I have it flashed to the latest T-Mobile ROM, I wanted to know is there a way to use my MDA as a bluetooth reciever for my PC, has anybody done this? is there a hack, app, or something to do this? But first and foremost is this even possible? Thanks in advance for all your responses.
you might want to elaborate on what you mean by "bluetooth receiver" I guess you mean transfer files to the phone from your PC?
BTW welcome to the forums, I see that was your first post
Elaboration

OK I see the confusion, basically a receiver, I want to be able to talk to other bluetooth devices but from my PC thru my MDA.
I want my MDA to act as a medium .
What I want to do is my friend has a Motorola RAZR V3M or sumtin from Sprint and I want to transfer MP3s from my PC to her RAZR but it has only two ways to do it, VIA Bluetooth and by taking out its Micro SD card and inserting it in a reader. unfortunately we don't have either option, but however I have my MDA, I paired the two devices but the MDA saw and paired with the phone and was like "so what" I can't seem to do anything with it. So I figured maybe I can have the MDA act as a transmitter/receiver with my PC and my PC will see it and will allow me to transfer the MP3s VIA Bluetooth to the RAZR. This is a mouthful hopefully you all get the picture.
(MY PC)------[USB]--------(MDA) ~~~~Bluetooth Signal~~~~ (RAZR)
*If not above is a little diagram
Want to if this is possible cuz I would rather not buy anything to facilitate this either, oh BTW I searched Motorola and it seem that there is a Program to do what I want via USB but they don't have the software available on the site for download only on CD that came with the phone and obviously we don't have the CD.
But wanted to know if this is possible so other things too?
***Thank you for the welcome been a member for a month i think but this is my first post and BTW this site is amazing, keep up the good work to all you developers and testers and to whom ever I don't mention, your work has increased the value and use on my MDA and my friend's Wing (T-Mobile's MDA V2)***
ACtually, you should be able to plug the razr in via USB, just like jsut about every other phone that has a usb connection.

Yea I tried that but my PC sees it and doesnt do anything with it, so I'm assuming that you need the Moto CD but again we don't have it, but for the most part my idea isn't just for the RAZR, more of a impromtu Bluetooth transmitter for the PC to use.

you need to install moto phonetools before plug the Razar in your computer, or you can storage the music in your Wizard and the send them to the Razor phone by Bluetooth.
about your questio I'm pretty sure you can use the wizard like a bluetooth modem transiter but I don't konw how to setup the a network
i have a t-mobile mda wizard and every time i plug it in to my pc it says device not recognized but it charges and everything... i just bout a new cradle and everything but no dice on it connecting and im running windows xp... help will be appreciated
Right click the activesync button in your toolbar and open connection setting. Click connect device. It will try to connect. If it won't, the best thing is to go thru the help thing. Do you have a custom rom?
active sync do not work
Hi there, i heard some days ago (a friend who ask me for help, unloking wizard to change ROM) and his WIZARD was not able to get recognized by PC it was a bad contact between USB conectors and cable, so he sent phone to repairs and then he was able to sync and then to migrate from WM5 to WM6.1
perhaps is a connectors trouble.....
What version of Activesync are you using? If it's 4.5, you should be good to go. I have seen problems with older versions.
Also, check Activesync on your phone. Make sure you don't already have two accounts created, because that's the limit on your phone.
If not, try different USB Cables and different USB ports (or test those things on a different device with microUSB connection) before assuming the connector on the phone is bad.
as far as i know the phone is completely factory no upgrades or anything i tried to do the connect thing thru active sync where it looks for my phone still no connection and i bought a new cradle and usb cords all together and it still doesn't work...
I have a Vogue flashed with dcd 3.1.1 and I cannot pair a second bluetooth activesync. Basically it says the computer doesn't offer it as a service.
Since we had an extra device (8125 Stock) around we paired it up to the same laptop and found that it discovered the activesync service offered by the laptop. Although we found it discovered it as a "Pocket PC or Other PDA" where the XV6900 found it as a "phone or modem"
Between the two of us we have about 16 man hours into this ridiculous problem.
Is there any answer to how to get the Activesync service to be seen on the phone?
Funny thing is, this phone is already connected Via B/T on another laptop.
Which stack are you on? For me the Widcomm and toshiba bluetooth stack gave me the same problems as your having. I switched to the MS stack and now im connecting flawlessly for about a couple months now
MS Stack. But we've isolated it to the telephone.
hmm... weird...do you know if your usb driver is compatible with that stack? that might be an issue but I don't know because im not an expert :/
I don't think your phone can be paired to more than one computer at a time, so try unpairing from the other computer and and your phone delete the pair to your computer and delete your phone's pair on the computer, then try pairing from your handset first.
Lol, dunno if that makes a whole lot of sense x__x but doesn't hurt to try!
I searched for this but apparently my google fu is not strong enough to dig out an answer if one exists.
I have an xv6800 (originally verizon) that the USB port stopped working on for activesync or headphones. I thought the pot was shot and was flashing it to alltel using the SD card method when I realized that the USB port works fine in bootloader mode. In fact, I loaded a new Alltel rom over USB. The USB port still did not work in windows with the new rom.
Any ideas? The headphones I was trying to use are the ones that came with my touch pro. I have also tried the audio out on the Seido dock for the 6800 and it no workee either. It used to.
Any ideas? It is not the end of the world if it does not work (this is not an active phone...I was going to use it as an Ebook reader/media player) but this really is bugging the crap out of me.
