When I use my alarm (clock and alarm) there is no way of clearing the notification. Even after a soft reset the alarm keeps going off. The only solution I have is to go to the Sounds and Notifications and turn it off, then reset.
I have used Memaid but with no luck. Any suggestions?
I am using the GPS ROM.
I have the same problem here, any solutions yet? Don't have any annotions or alarms active but it still thinks there is something everytime I softreset. It stops after a couple of minutes, but very anoying. Don't want to hardreset it=(

I ended up hard resetting my device. Problem solved.
Sorry, bet you didn't want to hear that.
had exactly the same issue...
only way to get it working again was an hard reset....
There are Tools for deleting notifications on a low level. Try SK Tools...
SK Tools makes no difference
Made no difference, even though I purchased SK Tools in order to try to resolve the issue. I went even better than doing a hard reset. I upgraded to WM6 instead!

I have not experienced this problem until last week. The MDA2 just hangs in between tasks, when idle, or when in suspend mode, but I can still see the green signal led blinking. I can actually call the phone but don't hear it ringing nor can answer it. What I have discovered is that it last a bit longer if I keep the phone application on the foreground. But still it will hang eventually. :x
I tried to hard reset it and use factory defaults but same thing happens, I even tried some other SIM cards, same results, I even tried using it without any SD memory... same thing....
Any ideas?
Somebody recommend me to install a newer firmware, but how come it was working fine and all of a sudden it developed this problem? I don't belive the problem is that it's a Microsoft OS, since even a hard reset does not clear the problem... :?:
Thanks!

Hi,
I am new to the XDA II, and am haveing problems getting the Phone to Vibrate. I have tried the Ring and Vibrate option, as well as just Vibrate on its on. Whe I reing the phone, it does not Vibrate.
I have used the new Unlock program to remove the simlock, which works ok.
I have just bought this phone, so not sure If I should take it back to shop.
I have ROM: 1.72WWE
Thanks,
BK
Fixed it, by removing the V2R Stuff from O2. Is this the only way to fix it ?
Bugger, I've got the same problem. Mine use to work 100% untill the phone did a Hard Reset by it's self one morning after reinstalling all the apps and getting all my data back. The Vibrate stopped working.. I have all the vibrate checkboxes and options right but it does still not vibrate..
Any one got any ideas? any other apps that might be causing this?
I'm running the Australian ROM (Latest official release).
CHEERS!
I guess the quickest way to troubleshoot this, is to Hard Reset, test Vibrate, install few apps, r-test, etc.
on my gf's K-Jam, she is unable to change her alarm and also dismiss/snooze it when it rings. For example, she originally made one alarm for Monday-Friday @ 5:00am. Later, she edited the same alarm to go off at 7:00am. but instead of only going off at 7, it also rings at 6.
also, when she unchecks the alarm box to disable it, it still rings regardless.
When this alarm problem happens, each time you turn the k-jam off and turn it on again, the alarm signal rings every 20-30 seconds for the first 3-5 minutes the phone is on.
soft resetting does not change it, nor does a hard reset. I flashed it with KJAM_WWE_1010903_106_10110_ship.exe and it worked fine for a few days, but then the problem came back.
i'm assuming it is a software problem and hopefully the new IMATE ROM will fix this...or is this a hardware problem?
Sounds like a duplicate notification. You have several options to get in there and manually remove it.
You can try running CheckNotifications.
You can use MemMaid, find the notification and delete.
You can do the same with SKTools.
jurassic5 .. I had exactly the same problem ... Wizard was driving me nuts. I tried almost anything to get rid of the alarm but NO. I was close to call support. But then I found a official ROM 1.6.7.1 WWE upgrade ... and the problem was gone.
I have same problem, I try to remove them from the running queue, but, it is always come back after a soft reset. for people who has this problem and don't want to flash his rom, my stupid way is, hard reset once, then never ever use the build in alarm, try to use SPB time or something instead.

i am getting TONS of 'alarm4' notification sounds coming out of soft reset (and now like all the time). almost everything in notifications is unchecked (except phone and emai messages). and nothing is set for 'alarm4'. when these notifications go off, there's nothing happening when they happen!
i feel like it's hard reset reload time. but i don't wanna do it again.... (but i have this whole westtek bluetooth printer problems to deal with....)
if i turn off all alarms/programs/notifications it doesn't happen. this is not a fix
You need to use a program like SK Tools to look at your notification lists and delete ONLY the ones you think are suspect (ex notifications for a calendar event that is no longer present).
thanks i'll try that next time. today the i just lost it and had to hard reset it.
well, it started to do it again. and i got the SK tools and did a clean up, and a delete duplicate notifications. but it's still doing the sporadic notifications on soft reset. this time they go off randomly for up to 5 minutes after the soft reset! there are not displayed nofitications. and none with vibrate enabled, yet there they are!
MOST ANNOYING!
any more ideas?
scary bear notifications can help.
screwing with the notifications can generally screw up the device.
i tried, and failed, and simply hard reset it and started again.
i found it was caused more so when a notification had come up, and you either voluntarily, or involuntarily had to soft reset the device.
but there is no conclusive evidence of this. just my input.
next day: i had to hard reset the device. it became totally unstable. i was getting 'unknown usb device' and 'battery low for PC card messages' (thought i turned that off). oh well, at least i keep good backups.
Last night my ATT8525 phone, which I've had for several years, suddenly stopped playing the ringtone for incoming calls. All other sounds have been tested and working, including playing music. I've tried changing the volume of both the device slider and ring slider to vibrate, then to off, then back on. All levels of volume on both sliders.
Another strange problem is if I go into settings to Sounds & Notifications, if I click OK on any setting it goes to the Incoming Call setting. It doesn't close the screen out anymore. I can click OK, turn off the sounds, set it to something different, clicking OK no longer accepts the setting. If I go to another setting other than for Phone: Incoming Call, then clicking OK brings me back to that option.
I've done a soft and hard reset. Any ideas?
Thisstrange indeed. The rear speaker is used for the phone ring and clearly this is ok because you can play music (I am assuming you were not using headphones to test the music).
Before you said you had done a hard reset, I would have sworn that would cure the problem. This may seem cheeky but I assume you really have done a hard reset (some folks think they have but haven't really). Can we assume you used the two soft keys plus the stylus in the hole method?
If so it may be worth trying another couple of times.
Temporarily at least, if that fails, it may be worth trying to flash a different ROM. However, before that, perhaps you should wait to see if anyone else has some words of wisdom.
Mike
Thanks for the response. You are correct, I wasn't actually doing a hard reset. If I do a hard reset, I assume I lose all my settings and go back to the fresh ROM state?

Yes you lose all data that you have saved to the phone, including all installed applications. Data on the storage card remains ok. However, even if you installed an app to the storage card, you may still have to reinstall it.. Some might say you should do a full backup of the full system with the likes of SPB full backup, BUT if you were to restore the ful back-up after a hard reset, you would probably just put back the fault you are trying to resolve!
Mike
I can't really find a good suggestion but to Flash the ROM. But as mikechannon said, rule # 1 is to make a backup. Maybe you can use PIM Backup, so that only the contact and others are only the ones backed up. Your problem may reoccur for full system backup, as mentioned above.
Thanks
Just following up that the hard reset did fix the problem with the phone not ringing on incoming call. Also thanks for the PIM backup suggestion. This saved me a lot of time.
No problem.. Just here to help.. Peace..
