Hi guys,
I´ve got a little question concerning VPN and Wifi Settings. At home I am able to connect to my Wifi Accesspoint and do an active sync via PPTP VPN to our Exchange Server at Work. Every thing works fine.
Wenn I connect to the Wifi at work, there are two possibilities.
1. When I set Wifi to "Internet", Webbroesing is OK, but when I try to active sync, the phone tries to start the VPN connection, but that not neccesary und will not work from the internal Wifi of my company.
2. When I set Wifi to "Company Network", active sync is OK, but webbrowsing does not work.
Any Ideas how I could configure the phone to do webbrowsing and active sync ?
I´m using a german MDA Vario from T-Mobile (Wizard) with the last official ROM version from T-Mobile (AKU 3.3)
Thank you !

I have a trouble connecting to a terminalserver when I am connected to Wlan. When using GPRS or GSM I can connect to my office server with no problem.
When using Wlan at home the server always times out. When I am on my work lan I get the question about adding a VPN or proxy. Since we do not use VPN or proxy I do not realy do not now what to do.
Are you not able to connetct to terminalserver via Wlan?
Best regard to all.
Hi all!
I'm having a very strange issue with my Internet connection on the niki.
I have configured the default Internet connection (the one without VPN and Proxy config) to use the ISP parameters to connect to GPRS.
It connects but it's not working (I tried to navigate with IE but got error opening page).
So I created a new connection (in this case I could set up a proxy, but I left empty), with the same ISP config, selected it as the network to be use automatically to connect to internet, and it works very well.
Any idea about this strange behaviour?
Thanks!!!!
Alex

Hello All.
I have a problem with sync through VPN.
Asus P535, WM6.
My company have Exchange Server, I have remote access through VPN to this server. All setting for GPRS, WiFi, VPN is correct.
I use GPRS connection for ActiveSync through VPN when I not in office - it is work good.
When I came to office - I switch to WiFi connection and turn off VPN - it is work good too.
But when I switch back to GPRS connection, turn on VPN - I have a problem. After esteablish GPRS connection blink message "VPN connection", after this GPRS switch off and pop-up message "VPN server error". But WEB serfing work good.
My sollution for this problem - only reinstall Windows.
Maybe any can halp me ?
Thank you! (sorry for my bad english)

Hi Guys,
I have been searching the forum and the net for most of the day trying to resolve this one.
I have a T Mobile Vario IV and have reflashed it with Proven ROM 2.4 and the up-to-date radio. I use a hosted exchange server (sherweb) for my email, contacts and calendar.
When using wi-fi, the internet and activesync works perfectly and I synchronised my contacts and email folders using this after the reflash.
When using the T-Mobile data connection, the internet works fine but activesync is not able to talk to the exchange server and times out with a message suggesting checking connection settings. I have checked, checked and checked again all the gprs and data settings and they are all as advertised. I have even resorted to asking T-Mobile for a configuration message for data settings which didnt work either.
It seems that Activesync is not able to do its job via the T-Mobile data connection.
Does anybody have any ideas at all?
Thanks in advance
Chris
PS - The activesync worked fine over the T-Mobile data connection before the reflash.
UPDATE!
Sorted it out in the end, make sure that you UNCHECK the "This network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet" option under START-SETTINGS-CONNECTIONS-CONNECTIONS-TMOBILE-INTERNET-PROXY SETTINGS
