just got my partner a T-mobile MDA Vario off ebay.
unfortunatly, although seller said its brand new, it has had a relationship with the previous owners pc.
how do i remove this relationship so that the pda is dedicated to her pc?

I'm out using my Tytn at the moment, but from memory there is an option on the PCs Active Sync menues to delete mobile device. Do this and next time you connect it will run through new relationship screens.

I have just bought an MDA vario in the uk and have noticed that the format of the contacts has changed from my previous phone (spv M500) and now will no longer sync with outlook which is very annoying! is this a problem that can be solved or something i've done wrong or is it a case of changing the ROM which i was considering any way?
Also the fact you can't select multiple people in one go when composing messages is a real pain in the ass as the majority of my txts go out to 5-6 people.
Any help would be much appreciated and i do appologise if this has been covered already.

Hi guys - great forum and lost of helpful solutions. THis may be a daft newbie question so sorry but but here goes..
I just changed from a v1605 (hermes) to the HTC 3600 (Trinity) and can only see address book entries in the contacts app on the new device. On the V1605, the contacts brought up both address book and SIM entries.
Have I missed something on the Trinity ? I actually prefer it to my old v1605
Any advice gratefully received

I just got my Universal (as M5000) from eBay, it's running WM6 already. I'd like to know if there is any way how to easily migrate all my details, settings, contacts, appointments and you-know-all-the-other-stuff from my old iPAQ5550 running WM2003. Thanks.

Wellcome to Uni´s forums, I would recommend you to pas all the info you want to move to your new Uni to your PC or Lap, and form there using Windows Mobile Device Center or ActiveSync 4.5 you can syn your computer to your new toy!

sounds good but unfortunately I am not able to sync my devices, using WMDC6.1, it just says Outlook not installed and allows me to sync only files and favorites. What Outlook? On PPC or on PC? Email is only thing I don't want to sync..:-/
Got Wizard with broken screen. Anyone knows the fastest way of transferring saved information, such as contacts, e-mail addresses etc from one Wizard to another? Say, can I Active Sync it and save files on miniSD? Can't do much with a broken screen and have no intentions of replacing the screen, as have new Wizard already.
Well, if it's just the screen you can try soti pocket controller.It gives you total control of your ppc screen on your computer.

Not looking to sell - doing repairs, so keeping for parts. Might install a new screen at some point, so need the info off it only. Sorry.
Soti's did the trick, the main thing was to install it onto a device with a broken screen, but it is one amazing program - LOVE IT.

Does any of you know is there any chance to edit the contracts inside of the Diamond on the PC without Outlook? I need to add ca. 30 contracts into my new Diamond and of course it is better idea to type all this info on the PC.

You can sync your contacts on Windows Live and then edit them in your hotmail account. I used to do that.
