Hi everybody, i've smashed my k-jam screen and i bought via e-bay a new lcd screen + touchpad, when it arrives i've installed it and when i turn on the device
BIG SURPRISE the gray and light blue text and bars appear in a light tonality of pink.... i've dismount again the wizard and i've controlled if the FPC cable is inserted poperly in its connector and its fine, but the problem continues...
but now the big surprise... yesterday i was play with new faria's rom and i've changed speed clock from 195 to 247 and when i've applied the change the intensity of pink is increasing, so i've tried to change clock config to 175Mhz
AND..... it comeback with normal colors... Weird??
Anyone knows what happen to my screen? anyone have fixed this problem??
later i will post photo for better understanding my problem...
THANKS Ciao

The screen on my XDA2 is getting too dim to see in the daylight. It used to be fine, and the problem seems to be getting worse. My XDA2 is a demo device so is a few years old now, maybe this is just age related.
I thought it was WM2005, but I re-flashed to the O2 official latest update, and it didn't help. Does anyone have any ideas? Is a new screen the only solution?
It would be a shame to have to change the screen, as it's not in bad condition, other than being too dim.
Any ideas received with thanks.
Richard
Hello.
Sorry if this is too obvious, but have you checked the brightness settings in 'Start -> Settings -> Backlight -> Brightness'?
Also, does the brightness look any different when running off AC power instead of battery?
Is it just as dim at the splash screen after a reset?
Sadly it's as dim when it boots up, and the brightness is turned all the way up.
There is no change when plugged into the cradle, the charging adapter, or the car charger.
Does anyone know what is used for the backlight? I wonder if it is changeable, from a device with a broken screen?
Unfortunatly I don't want to take the thing apart if I can help it, not untill I know if it can be fixed. The risk of damaging the screen, and killing a PDA/phone I use every day....
Thanks for the reply though.
Richard
There is a Toppoly TD035STEB2 display, used in Qtek 2020. Backlight is LED based, so, service life should be several dozen years... Check, if you have any change, when you move brightness slider in control window. Most probably, you'll be unable to fix this problem yourself, however, if you will find a second device working properly, you can try to exchange system board to find roots of problem - board or display. From my experience, most probably, there is a problem on system board, connected to backlight circuit.
Could you post a screen photo?
Hey Richard, did you ever sort your display problem. Mine does the same and I'm interested to know if its a LCD or Board problem
Thanks
Larry
Hi All.
I wanted to know if there is any way to change the screen colours of my Jasjam. IE adding more blue and toning down the yellow.
I just received areplacement for mine which had a problem. However when i got my new one and fired it up it seemed that the sceen colours had to much yellow in them.
When i put it side by sided to the one i am about to send back you could clearly see the the colours of the old one where much more even and more vibriant.
Given that i don't think this minor problem with qualify the JASJAM for DOA i would really like to see if it can be adjusted.
Cheers.
Travis

Pete85,
Could be the screen connector, it's very delicate.

The lcd screen connector is damaged. I've been trying to buy the spare part

you'd better try to check the screen connector
Hi all,
I had a touchscreen issue (sometimes not working) in my HD2 so I ordered a new fabric screen+lcd assemby. I replaced it very carefully but now when I plug new lcd it is not working. Phone is working, buttons, vibration, hear the sound when turning on but there is only backlight on display and just shows black screen. I am sure that display is ok because I tried to put old one (wich was still working before replacement) and it has same issue (backlight works but display is black). Can you give me some ideas what is wrong ????
damaged lcd ribbon connector on mainboard or ribbon not being inserted fully or latched securely
Ty booting to bootloader ...
Help
The flex cable is not attached correctly or the main board is broken and before you close your phone try it. If you can't do this give someone your phone and he will recover for you.
The problem is sloved. I dissasambled all phone and fix it once again and now it works. Anyway I got another problem of white screen on my second device. Did anybody find a solution for white screen ever????
