I just received my JasJam after main board replacement and now I find that some buttons (O,P,L,<ENTER>, <WINDOWS>, <LEFT>, <RIGHT> and <DOWN>) aren't working!
I tried hard reset but that didn't solve the problem. Plz help.

That sounds right. There is no known software issue that makes keyboard behave like this. Much more likely they have not fully engaged the ribbon connector.

is your ribbon cable ok? also maybe it is time to get a new wizard or one with a broken screen.
I thing so, but I am not very sure of it. Of course,
I was in need to open my wizard and unpluged ribbon of keyboard, but I control it. All seems to be ok. Oh MY, what can be done??
There were two ribbons, one small, and the seccond is a bit wider. Think , both was connect well.
But now keyboard not work. Any suggestions, please?
today keybord which looks dead respond by key Z, all others are still dead. What does it mean?
I was applying a Zagg Invisible Shield on my HD2 today and the only thing I can imagine is maybe I pressed too hard on the screen while squeegeeing the solution and now my touch screen is not working. Everything else is working fine, I can still answer calls using the buttons at the bottom but the touch screen is dead. Is there hopefully some kind of fix for this or am I SOL and need to replace the digitizer? Thanks in advance.

may be your pressing hard has broken the connection or has caused a loose connection between the digitizer and the flex cable/ribbon.
if your good in DIY may be you can dismantle and fix it..
if not a repair shop is your option !
hope your screen works again !
Thank you sir but very fortunately it started working again.
U R a lucky dog.hah...Press Ur display quitely in next time.
Hi all.
Well, changed my motherboard to see if it would stop the problem of phone overheating and restarting etc.
BUT, now hardware buttons completely not working and volume buttons, plus phone is not vibrating at all, not with text, not with incoming call, not the usual vibrate when booting up etc.
I'm using a app from market to replace software buttons, but with proximity and volume buttons not working, it's a nightmare.
I changed back to the old motherboard and still the same.
Any idea how all bottom buttons, volume buttons, vibrate and proximity could all break at exact same time??
I've checked the 3 ribbon type cables going into the motherboard - all seem fine, even got magnifying glass out.....no tears or cuts or marks etc on them.
Any ideas?
pleeeaseeeee tell me there is some tiny tiny tiny cable that i've stupidly missed or something simple.
any info...much appreciated.
cheers
Matt
Hey Matt. I don't know nothing from Assembling/disassembling the HD2 but some videos here should help you out!
Look here:

Hi guys!
The back button of my SGS stopped working (no light and unresponsive). So I dismantled the phone in order to check if there was any problem inside of it. Apparently everything was fine, but I saw something like a transparent and knda sticky film on the capacitive buttons zones. I thought that it was just a protection and removed it. After that I assembled the phone but now the "back" and "menu" buttons are not working (no light and no response to touch).
Im sure that nothing is broken! Can you give some hints on what can I do to bring the buttons from the dead??
Tks in advance

Did you fix your capacitive keys? I was changing a frame bezel and when I was dismantle it capacitive keys flat cable snaped. I ordered a new keys kit over ebay and mount them back today. Home button is working well but capacitive keys aren't. They dont respond and no light. Tryed to do a factory reset and reboot but no luck.
If you cant find any way to repair the buttons use the MOD in my signature

The "fake" buttons are the same as the ones found on the Galaxy nexus phones. Rather than being on the bottom like our I9000 are they are on the screen. There are a number of roms you can flash if your capacitive buttons don't work. Any of the new JB roms all have these buttons in the Navigation Bar settings under rom control under SETTINGS. Hope that helped. By the way if you are going to flash a JB rom please go from gingerbread to ICS to JB in that order. If you dont you could loose your IMEI number which is important! Either way you should do a backup just in case.

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can help, I recently returned to the HTC scene. Someone gave me a HD2 with a smashed screen Digitiser, everything else worked fine.
I got a new digitiser/LCD, fitted it ok. Now, back together, although there are a few really strange problems. There is no sound at all, either through the speaker or the ear piece, the vibrate doesn't happen and the volume button doesn't work.
Is any of this connected, I can't work it out.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers
Andy
All 3 mentioned are on main flexboard, therefore, IMO, you have a problem with main flexboard or its connection to motherboard: check carefully connector and related portion of flexboard.
Good luck!
Cheers pal, took it back apart and the main flex was slightly out!
I checked that as well, thanks anyway.
Glad you got back in business your hd2!:good:
