I have the following Problem : I had trying the folowing hack to run the VC with my Bluetooth headset sony ericsson HBH 660 on my Qtek 9000 (HTC Universal )
Idid what tey say but it does not work really.
Install Voice Command to the default location.
Fire up a registry editor
Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand
Modify the string marked "path" from the default \Windows\SDDialer.exe to
\Program Files\Voice Command\VoiceCMD.exe
Now, when you press your BT headset connect button, MS Voice command will
fire up and take commands through the headset. It's reponses will be played
through the headset to I mean. The heatset will be connect to the Qtek 9000 but the VC will not start up. IF i start the VC manually on the QTEK i can speak trough the Headset an i hear the commends from the VC back trough the headset. But the quallity of my commands trough the headset must be so bad that the VC will not understand my commands . ( Only what time is it works )
So what can i do ? Do you have a idee ?
Why the VC starts not up over Bluetooth ?
Why the quallity is so bad ?
Should i need another headset ?
Many Tahnks ofr your answer !

I've had the exact same problem with a Motorola HS850. Posted a topic once but no one seemed to have the same problem so they couldn't help me. I still haven't figured it out myself - sorry.
Hi Andy K,
I have pretty much the same setup, except mine is a jasjar and my headset model number is 662. I used the same instructions that you are referring to and it is working for me.
If I have both turned on and linked, I press the headset button, wait for the tone and say my command. It has worked surprisingly well. I'm not sure what's causing your problem. Do you have the headset and phone close enough to each other for a good signal?
I should have also mentioned that I have a Qtek 9000. I think it must be a problem somewhere in the Qtek registry which must have slightly different entries than the registry that comes with the JasJars
Dear all,
I know that Microsoft is developing WM5 AKU2 which will include A2DP protocol; however I just can't wait for it. I saw many BT providers like Widcomm, BlueSoleil had released the A2DP stack. How can I know the BT version used on wizzard, so I can try those stacks. Many thanks in advance.
Michael
unfortunaitly those will not work on wm5, they only work on wm2003.
(have tried)
if you go into bluetooth settings you will only have three buttons at the moment, "Mode,Devices,COM Ports" you have got bt v1.2
one thing to watch out for also, is that some of the new bt headset's with a2dp with not work with voice dial, you can answer or hangup from headset, but you have to dial from the phone.
I think this is because the headset is able to be used for AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile).
(but i may be wrong)

Thanks! I tried too. Need to hard rest to bring it back.
Does this mean that we just can't do anything but waiting for MS? That's bad.

yep or someone else to do it first
I've got a problem with Dopod 818 Pro's voice command software.
The software that is use is Cyberon VC 1.6, which is different from Jamin's Voice Speed Dial 1.1
Using Jamin's Voice Speed Dial 1.1 (I've flashed Jamin's rom), I can use bluetooth headset button to activate and dial very successfully every time.
However, when using Dopod's software (Cyberon VC 1.6), I can only activate the voice command once using my bluetooth headset's button. After that I cannot use it anymore and have to reboot the Dopod in order to make it work again. I noticed that after the headset is turned on, it never turns off again using this software.
I'm using a SC HBH-662, 818 Pro AKU2 WWE.
Do anyone experiences this problem? Is it a problem with my Headset instead of a software problem. (I'd need to consider replacing my bluetooth headset). If everyone is experiencing this problem with Dopod, then I think it is probably a software problem, or there are any registry setting that I can use to fix it?
I have noticed the same problem, though not everytime. It seems that if you use the software to dial a phone number, and then end the call, the headset shuts off and may or may not work again with voicecommand.
Anyway, yes, it's weird. I'm using a SE bluetooth headset as well, but I think it's software related.
Anyone not using Sony Ericsson bluetooth headset having the same problem? If yes, I think I'll just downgrade it back to imate rom.
Same Here!! I just loaded the new Dopod ROM and selected the few files from Ext ROM that I wanted and noticed that Cyberon Voice Commander worked once with the bluetooth headset (nxZen) then refused to work after that. Hopefully some genius here can help figure this out. Cyberon's VC seems really good, just need it to work over bluetooth.
voyager
Jabra headset same problem here.
AX2 and Plantronics Voyager same issue. I think it is similiar to the issue people are having with MS Voice Command on the Wizard using the Reg hack to redirect the BT Headset button to activate VC
I'm having the EXACT same problem, with the same headset (hbh662). Interestingly enough, I installed MS Voice Command side-by-side with Voice Commander. Once you activate Voice Commander the first time (and it makes the audio gateway connection to the BT headset), you can use MS Voice Command to issue commands through the headset. The problem is that it seems to only be able to do this once, and then you have to reset. The other thing I've noticed is that all audio is rerouted through the headset; if your phone rings while the BT gateway is active, you will only hear it in the headset (but you get to hear Voice Command anounce the caller). Ah well, at least it works for about 10 minutes per reset. :?
I have exactly the same problem with you guys with my SE HBH-610a and i.Tech Clip R35, and some other SE and i.Tech models which I have also tried. Can only activate once, and will not work again until a soft-reset. This has been like that since the shipped ROM, and the new ROM didn't fix this problem.
Voice command over BT on the i-Mate AKU2 rom works great though, and works 100% of the time!! Though both from same company Cyberon, the one on Dopod is VOICE COMMANDER, and the one on Imate is VOICE SPEED DIAL.
I have tried un-installing Voice Commander from my Dopod and installing Voice Speed Dial (from hack in this forum), but didn't get voicedialling over BT to work this way on the Dopod. Sigh!!
Has anyone contacted Dopod on this matter? If I-mate can implement Voicedialling over BT correctly, I don't see why Dopod can't!! I will write to Dopod. Can't imagine calling their hotline again...the last time I called, I had to wait at least 50mins before my call was answered.

Still no solution for this?
Still no solution for this issue? Isnt there a way to port/convert Project VCABT to the Prophet?
That would be more than great"!
I have the same problem plus it does not recognize my voice command. Alway dials a wrong person.
Any progress?
Dear Friends,
Has anyone had any progress with this issue? 3-rd party software? Maybe some bluetooth stack patches.
Please, if anyone has any valuable information to share, please do.
With warmest regards...
there is a major problem with the ROM
Until a new one is produced the BT will be stuffed
do both version 1.5 and 1.6 work with the atom?
does the registry patch with 1.5 make it work with a bluetooth headset?
does the voice dialer that comes with the atom exec interfere with voice command or do i simply install 1.6?
has anybody here used ms voice command, if so which version and with or without bluetooth and how is the performance?
thanks 4 any info
actually can the build-in voice dialer be made to work with a bluetooth headset, i tried but without luck
HI,
I'm using 1.6 with bluetooth and no problems
so you can voice dial with the bluetooth right?
did you have to do anything with the built-in voice dialer program or just ignore it
Just ignore it.
Microsoft Voice Command works well. It transfer the audio to headset when the headset button is pressed. You can even set it to make announcement to headset.
My only problem is, it speaks too fast & I do not know how to set it.
I'm running MSVC 1.6 on my Atom but the voice dial over BT headset does not work properly.......however 1.6 is much better than 1.5 and I would still recommend it.
Check out this registry edit to SLOW down MS Voice Commander. I set mine to 3 and it is just peeerfect!

Thanks for the info, angusc.
I should have added that I have tried the Motorola HS700 and also the I-Tech Clip R35.....neither of these seem to work with MSVC but I think it is more to do with the O2 ATOM PDA rather than the BT headsets.
When I press the bt500's headset button to activate voice command I still have to speak into the trinitys built-in microphone and the responses come from the built-in speaker.
I've had a look around and the solutions so far seem to be for wm6, im still on wm5, or reg updates for keys I dont seem to have.
My apologies if I have missed anything obvious but is there a solution for this problem?
Also while im here is there a way to turn off the confirmation request for dialing contacts through voice command.
I'm having the same issues. I owned an imate Jamin before the this and it worked perfectly. I understand the jamin was manufactured by HTC so I do not know why the p3600 doesnt work.
Will Hermes Fix work?
Does the hermes fix for the voice command 1.6 issues work on the trinity?
