Anyone know how to make it so I can press more than 2 buttons at once and have them all be recognized?
I am trying to play Mario and I need to hold down 1) Left, 2) run and 3) jump. The Hermes seems to only recognize 2 presses at once.
Does anyone know if this can be remedied or if it is a hardware limitation? Maybe even an incompatibility within the software itself.
Any help is much appreciated!
This seems to only happen when all of the buttons are letters on the keyboard. Meaning if one button is enter it works fine...
Anyone know whats going on or how to fix?
Hi,
my P3600 has a problem - pressing call and hang-up button as well as ok, menu and 2 function buttons on the top keybad do not work.
However, center and direction buttons do work.
This happened before, then worked again, now happening again.
Any ideas anyone? a HW problem or a ROM / hardspl problem? (tried different roms same thing happens)
thanks for your help.
Needs a bump
Just bumping the thread cause I have the exact same problem on my phone. I had it in my camera bag on a hiking-trip this weekend and I think either it was pressed against something or the moist got it. The center buttons still work, but I dont think its on the same connector inside.

Have you tried restarting the phone? Press and hold the powerbutten (if it works), and answer Yes to the question about shutting down. Take out your battery for 10 seconds, put it back in and fire up your phone... It might help

Hehe, can't answer that. I've had the problem only like twice in three months, so for me it's not a problem... I guess it's a software problem. Remember, it's not a Nokia The inside so much more complicated, so I guess we just have to live with some bugs...
Are you guys sure that this is a hardware related problem? I have the same prob and i was quite sure that i f**ked up the capacitative panel by playing kevtris manickly for quite a long time.
The capacitative screen is comprised by two parts folded.
I have opened the diamond and i found out that there is a lietle piece of metal that binds them together. This was bent(from kevtris probably) so istraightened it out with my bear hands. But it did not fix the problem. Do not try it anyway. Too messy if you have two left hands like me.
Have you ever seen a calibrator for the capacitative screen?
had the same problem only the power button would work , hard reset fixed it.
Have u installed S2U2..try uninstalling it...or install latest version 1.68 of S2U2
Hey
Recently, I've got strange problems with my hardware keys on my (European) hd2. When I press the home or the back button, they work sometimes like the volume buttons. So the home button decreases the volume and the back increases it.
I'm using Artemis v43 with WinMo 6.5.5, but I had the same experience on all stock rom versions (that's why I got rid of them)!! Even if I m using Android the buttons are still weird. (In Androd it's extremly annoying due to the immensive use of the back button ).
Has anyone else the same experience and how did you solved this? Or should I send it to HTC to repair it?
Thanks for your help

maybe you had a short in your motherboard, i would recommend contacting HTC, as it is a hardware problem
Thanks.
Yeah, it really seems to behardware stuff. I'll contact HTC.
The device and the touchscreen work, but none of the capacitive buttons (menu, home, back, search) are responding, even after reboot and even after a hard reset. Not even in recovery mode. Any suggestions ?
Hey Bud, Mine has about a bit similar issue but not quite exactly the same as yours because my button sometimes works and most of the time responds like really slow or like not at all - of which i have to tap on it twice or multiple times to make it work. the worst button takes a lot of time or less to respond was my capacitive back button, the rest works fine but not always. i suspect that it may have something to do with the internal hardware... anyone here please shed some miraculous light here...
Not sure how to fix your issue, but in the meantime you can jump on the Android Market site on your PC, install Button Saviour then launch it as a replacement for your capacitive buttons. That should cover your needs.
Hope that helps!
