Perhaps you had the incorrect second commmand.
As jas_pik's instructions, after the first command many messages appear but at the end you see nothing, at this point you have to type correctly the second command ([email protected]=270f,270f not [email protected]=270F,270F).

You are right, after line ''Available time=FFFFFFFF."" you will see nothing but you have to continue typing the second command carefully.
After 2nd command, you will see zero (0).

get wizard connected to mtty for call timer reset

i want to clear my call timers, i got this method -
Code:
1) put device in bootloader mode
2) disable activesync usb connections
3) connect to bootloader using mtty.exe
4) when you see "USB>" prompt type this (DO NOT COPY-PASTE):
USB> rtask b
0 <--- wait until you see a "0" here
ate1 <--- enable local echo
atv1 <--- verbose output for return values
[email protected]?1 <--- get outgoing call time
[email protected]?0 <--- get incoming call time
[email protected]=<value1>,<value2> <--- set incoming and outgoing call
its for hermes but i think it will work for wizard(supercid) too,
when i connect device in bootloader mode, select usb from drop down, it gives me a CMD> prompt instead of USB> prompt, also when i type usb and press enter in usb prompt it says "I already connect to USB!" anyway to get the usb prompt ? or clear lifetimer, i need to sell this at good price and get a hermes

69xx bootloader command for extracting ROM

Hello,
please, if somebody has more information about bootloader commands supported by HP iPAQ hw6900 series (HTC Sable) to share on this thread with us
Will be very helpful if we can extract ROM image through the bootloader of this iPAQ
I dont know much, i know nothing indeeed, however i found somewhere a pack of files for the Wizard that were supposed to work for the sable, however they didnt, but there is this particular file, that when ran in the sable made appear a folder called "2" with an icon of a storage card and which rpely the contents of the root of the device (but for itself i mean no 2 folder inside the 2 folder lol)
I dont know if it is of some use but i definitevely want to perform a corporate install of windows in my sable and kill all that HP crap that comes in bundled
How to enter bootloader
Just press ACTION+POWER+reset with stylus and hold this combinaison for a few seconds, you'll see a screen without backlight (so you must be under bright light to see it) going into bootloader mode.
Put your device on the cradle (which I suspect you had connected it to your PC)
using mtty, connect to your USB Port (or Serial port if serial cradle)
type "password BOOTLOADER" and use "h" as an help command.
Now you can dump a ROM from Bootloader
The command should be sth like "r2sd"
Read the manual of this command "h r2sd full" and use it to dump your ROM on the SDCard
Now you can dump the raw ROM image from SD Card Reader using ntrw.exe
EDIT: going to bootloader mode seem to hard reset your device, backup FIRST!
HI Boris,
where to find the manual ETC.
A RAW ROM maens a bin file? how to convert then to something readable modifiable.... i understand that this is the main issue now.
I want to see a computer file which isn't binary based....
or a full text ROM
In fact, for me a raw ROM is a ROM-file which has been extracted from the device... The difference with a ROM-to-install is the encryption which is not present with raw dumps (to be checked).
Raw dumps can be modified and then re-updated but it needs some operations that are command-line based...
Once you got your raw ROM on SD, copy it to PC using ntrw, you have to find the correct tool to dump the content (dumprom should do the work)
Remember to keep the raw ROM as a backup, and work with a copy of the raw ROM.
You can also cut/paste the file into parts (OS, EXTROM...).
Logically, if you got the original ROM file (the german one) and the same taken from the device (raw ROM), we should be able to modify some existing tools to work with 69xx ROM files and cook some ROMs.
in bootloader mode: type
"h COMMANDNAME full" should show full manual of COMMANDNAME.
To have more informations, once you know if your bootloader has d2s or r2sd ... command name, search for it on wiki and you should have more informations and examples on the specific command.
I need to extract the ROM from one of these as well. I am getting into bootloader and trying to dump the rom to 256MB SD as follows...
USB>
USB>
USB>password BOOTLOADER
HTCSPass.<YHTCEUSB>d2s
SD:Waiting for card insert.........
CMD3 for SD, it's OK, ready to get RCA from response.
SDetected one card
SD:ready for transfer OK
d.total_lba=7A000
d.block_size=200
d.RCA=B368
d.drv_type=40000000
d.busWidth=1
Total card size=F400000
SDCARDD2S+,cStoragePlatformType=FF
Then the device just sits there with Cal Checksum on the screen. I get no response from NTTY or device until I restart.
I read on another thread that it might be locked. I also read that there may be a password to get into another level of access. See http://mobilitytoday.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15217 for details.
I have to get this cracked as I want to restore my good any network ROM onto a network specific device.
Anyone got any other ideas?

The checksum calculation is a long process, try to wait longer...
Anyway your SD should have been written... have you tried to read it?
EDIT: Does it show ******** or direct checksum calculation? (how long is the process)
I let it run for over an hour the first time but that was with a 1GB SD card and I understand that it would take longer with 1GB.
I haven't actually looked to see if there is anything on the card(s) as I just assumed it hadn't worked. Other threads say that the device gives you progress or at least some response from the MTTY to say it was done.
I have to shoot to a meeting but will try again when I get back...

yes, nice but does not work in 69xx's bootloader. while executing d2s command the device loops on "Calculating checksum" point and nothing happens even after an hour of waiting .. :-(
That is the same problem I am having. I read on another thread that dmc874 (who seems to know what he is talking about) thought it was related to the device being locked. See http://mobilitytoday.com/forum/showthread.php?p=68783
I am now trying to research the locking to see if there is anything I can do to unlock it... anyone else got any ideas?

The size of the uncompressed ROM is around 1gig because I only have 1gig sd cards to dump the ROM on.
You will probably need a 1gig or larger SD card, dim92 tried writing to a smaller card and the IPAQ doesn’t recognize it but you are welcome to give it a try on smaller cards as most of the image are 0s anyway.
Once you have written the image on to an sd card (use any of the bigrom guides using ntrw), pop it into the IPAQ and enter boot loader mode (power + joystick + reset). It should show up with “Download Sections: 1 press power to start".
Press power button and it should show “Updating radio". Let it finish and if it completed with no errors, power up to see if the mobile phone works. If it still does not work, try running the beetles radio patch now. If this too does not work, try running the LATEST rom from HP.

Hi buddy,thanks for your attachment.
But I gotta tell ya this doesn't work in hp6915,coz all the ROM in the internet do not have ExtRom.nbf,so nobody's device had flashed the Extended Rom in device...then the Unlock tool will not work in this.
Anyway,thank you

How to reset phone lifetime

Sorry if this is fool question. Does anyone know how to reset phone lifetime to zero. I am using Dopod 838pro. Thank you
hardreset ought to do the job
It depends what you mean. If it's the overall incoming / outgoing call timers (not just ones you can reset after individual calls) then a hard reset will not reset them. Nor will flashing new ROMs Radio or otherwise.
Now of course, I cannot think of a legitimate reason for doing this other than to fool a prospective purchaser of the phone, except perhaps if you have just bought the phone and want just your own totals. Still, this is not a legit activity.
Theoretically speaking only, it would be possible:
Method 1
Code:
1) put device in bootloader mode
2) disable activesync usb connections
3) connect to bootloader using mtty.exe
4) when you see "USB>" prompt type this (DO NOT COPY-PASTE):
USB> rtask b
0 <--- wait until you see a "0" here
ate1 <--- enable local echo
atv1 <--- verbose output for return values
[email protected]?1 <--- get outgoing call time
[email protected]?0 <--- get incoming call time
[email protected]=<value1>,<value2> <--- set incoming and outgoing call
OR
Method 2

Which way ???
I'll try 3 methods and fail. Tell me bro ...
I tried Method 1. But when connect to bootloader using mtty.exe
I do not see a "USB>" prompt I see a "Cmd>" prompt.
What is wrong?
Hrrrm.. I thought I'd try this too as I've always been curious about this...
It seems I get the Cmd> prompt too - is this as I'm accessing the 2.10.Olipro bootloader? Is there a different command set to this?
Hrrrmmm - Replying to myself...
It looks like you need to have to have HardSPL-1.10 installed - as looking at the changelogs for Olipro's HardSPL:
Code:
Hard-SPL-1.11
- Flashing Radio BL 0108 now supported
- Downgrading SPL no longer allowed.
- rtask command removed.
- new RUU interface required to flash ROM files.
Hard-SPL-1.10
-Initial release; SuperCID and no signing required
-Compatible only with Radio BL 0107
-has rtask commands for accessing radio facilities.
This means you'd have to downgrade to SPL v1.10 to get into the rtask b command set. Then upgrade to v2.10 later on...
That being said, when I try [email protected]=270F,270F I just get back "ERROR". It seems to do this on all values except 0000,0000 - however this doesn't seem to modify the call timers returned by talk?0 and talk?1...
Phone is currently IPL-1.04, SPL-1.10.Oli - which I understand should work, however I get the following:
Code:
USB> info 2
HTCSUSB> task 32
Level = 0
USB> rtask b
Enter Radio Image
AT-Command Interpreter ready
atv1
OK
ate1
OK
[email protected]=2710,2710
ERROR
[email protected]?0
@TALK: 00023C7D
OK
[email protected]=ffff,ffff
ERROR
Flashed back to SPL-1.01.Oli and the same problems... [email protected]=xxxx, xxxx will error on any value that isn't 0000 - which obviously doesn't reset the timers.

I have the same before, but after I flash my ROM with Hard-SPL-V7, and I see right away the USB> under mitty.exe. Search the forum for Hard-SPL-V7 if you want. After resetting the timer, you may want to flash back the Hard-SPL-V7 to another version. Good Luck!
Reason for resetting the timer: I bought my ATT 8525 in eBay, and I hate to see my phone showing hundreds minutes of incoming and out-going calls. Secondly, it is a chanllenge to myself if I can do it. Yes, I did it. It is part of the reason I bought ATT 8525/Hermes, it is FUN to do modifications!
Huh? Hard-SPL v7 doesn't have the rtask commands required to do this! Do you mean that you downgraded to 1.10, then reset usage, then upgraded to v7 afterwards?
Thanks to Pof, my phone was SIM Unlocked & SuperCID before hand. I tried to get USB> under mitty.exe with no luck. Eventually, I tried to change my HardSPL version, thanks to Olipro, I download the HardSPL-V7 from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722
As I said, after I flashed my ROM with this HardSPL-V7, I can get USB> under mitty.exe. Yes, after resetting the timer, I switched back to the original HardSPL by running Pof's Sim & SuperCID program again.

I will try today with Hard-SPL 1.10 and SPL 1.04. I will report what happend!
I did a downgrade from HardSPL V7 (2.10 Olipro) to HardSPL 1.10 and done the folowing commands:
USB> rtask b
Enter Radio Image
AT-Command Interpreter ready
There was no "0" so I typed ate1 an got "0". Then continued:
atv1

OK
Success. Timers are 00:00:00. The important thing is to have SuperCID on "info 2".
Hrrrm - I just did exactly what you did again, and it still errors... The difference is that I'm running radio version 1.50.30.10. I'm in the middle of flashing it back to 1.48.00.10 to try...
Nope... Still errors...

Howto restore Alpines stuck at the Bootloader.
Archive stored at:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=S588R1NQ
What you need:
A charged up HTC Alpine thats stuck in the SERIAL v1.01 screen
A 512Mb SD Memory Card, can't see this working with any other size.
A USB card reader on your PC that gives you a drive letter in My Computer
A copy of NTRW v2.00 (in archive)
A ROM image (in archive)
Finding a friend who's happy with DOS will be a great help!
DOS commands are in Courier Font to help differate
Step 1:
Charge the phone!
Personally I'd charge the battery in the big slot on the USB base.
Step 2:
Make sure the small slide switch is NOT on Lock
(slide it down towards teh metal teeth)
Place the SD Card into your Card Reader
(Cancel any pop-ups XP throws at you)
Step 3:
In My Computer find the SD Card
Write down what drive letter teh SD Card is
Righthand button and format the SD Card
*** MAKESURE its the 512Mb SD Card***
Step 4:
Press the Start button
Click Run...
Type CMD
Click [ OK ]
Step 5:
You are now using a DOS Prompt
Navigate to the place you unpacked the archive using the CD command
for example:
if you unpacked this onto your desktop...
( C:\Documents and Settings\Users\Desktop )
then type the following
C:
CD "\Documents and Settings\Users\Desktop"
DIR
Step 6:
Remember in step 3 I said to write down the SD Card's drive letter?
Well in the next step I'm presuming it's drive F:
If it's not drive F: then change the F: to whatever the SD Card is!
Step 7:
type NTRW write ALPINEROM.NB1 F:
(the write bit has to be in lowercase, the F: must be your SD Readers drive letter)
Step 8:
Wait!
If you're lucky your Card Reader will have a small light which will now be flickering.
C:\Documents and Settings\Users\Desktop>NTRW write ALPINEROM.NB1 F:

What you need:
A charged up HTC Alpine thats stuck in the SERIAL v1.01 screen
A 512Mb SD Memory Card, can't see this working with any other size.
A USB card reader on your PC that gives you a drive letter in My Computer
A copy of NTRW v2.00 (in archive)
A ROM image (in archive)
Finding a friend who's happy with DOS will be a great help!
DOS commands are in Courier Font to help differate
Step 1:
Charge the phone!
Personally I'd charge the battery in the big slot on the USB base.
Step 2:
Make sure the small slide switch is NOT on Lock
(slide it down towards teh metal teeth)
Place the SD Card into your Card Reader
(Cancel any pop-ups XP throws at you)
Step 3:
In My Computer find the SD Card
Write down what drive letter teh SD Card is
Righthand button and format the SD Card
*** MAKESURE its the 512Mb SD Card***
Step 4:
Press the Start button
Click Run...
Type CMD
Click [ OK ]
Step 5:
You are now using a DOS Prompt
Navigate to the place you unpacked the archive using the CD command
for example:
if you unpacked this onto your desktop...
( C:\Documents and Settings\Users\Desktop )
then type the following
C:
CD "\Documents and Settings\Users\Desktop"
DIR
Step 6:
Remember in step 3 I said to write down the SD Card's drive letter?
Well in the next step I'm presuming it's drive F:
If it's not drive F: then change the F: to whatever the SD Card is!
Step 7:
type NTRW write ALPINEROM.NB1 F:
(the write bit has to be in lowercase, the F: must be your SD Readers drive letter)
Step 8:
Wait!
If you're lucky your Card Reader will have a small light which will now be flickering.

Mine dims the scren when I do the reset but then comes back on - still at the SERIAL and v1.01 - I tried taking battery etc out but still nothing - any more help most appreciated
If I let the battery run down then charge, the XDA comes back on to windows, goes thru all the calibrations, but then after a while - goes back to the boot screen
any help most appreciated
i'm sorry before, but...
very interesting this guide,
mine is HIMALAYA (O2-xda-II), and got same problem --> Stuck in BootLoader
unfortunatelly my xda-II can't connect to PC. when connected to PC detected as Unknown-Device.
maybe like This Methode can be applicable to my xda-II
but with firmware /ROM that have compatibility to my xda-II offcourse,,
i'll said thanks if some one can give me any suggestion
you could just try pluggin the phone back into the cradle and connect it to usb, then just run the update program again, its normal for the update to fail the frist time or even twice. this happened to my phone. the first update fails and its stuck in boot loader, ignore the "cannot id device" that windows puts up.
also remember not to update on a pc running VISTA it wont work 100%, only, i repeat ONLY update on xp

Is something on the screen or are there any lights on ?
Are the files on the memory card visible in windows after writing the image on it ?
And to what filesystem should I format the memory card ?
FAT or FAT32?
Im trying to recover my xda with this image but with no results

PH 10D Alpine stuck in Simlock...HELP
HI mate, Please help me with this:
I have Alpine PH10D from Orange Uk
After I tried for weeks to buy the unlocking (sim) code from orange ,then I started trying all the software to unlock it. My laptop runs Vista ,so this could be the reason why, lots of programs from internet won,t work,xdadev,htcallunlock,xdasimlock,xdaunlock,htcmultiunlocker,lokiwiz,copier,etc...
so u can see I tried for weeks, and weeks
Finally, one of these got my HTC locked in Simlock mode ,I mean I kinda can restart, bootloader, reset etc ,and imediately after starting to boot-install,i get a screen saying,"Simlock, network locked, please enter network code"
In the background all the phone is normal but as soon as you try tapping"Start" or anything else, after 1 second that pop comes again ,again,again,again,again.....
The Interesting is The active sync (the active sync in vista is called"Windows mobile device manager" can connect to the phone...Obviousely U know u cannot delete those stupid files from the extended Rom ,they are REad Only, When u Right click on it, all what vista can get is, Run ,Run as Administrator,Properties"....no chance to delete or rename....them cab.
Again ,interesting, In bootloader, active sync cannot detect the phone ,but the phone does display "Serial V1.01" and then when u plug USB in laptop it says "USB"
Then press SOFTRESET again ,wait 10 sec..,ding...and STOP at that moment before it starts installing...! plug the USB into laptop ...active sync IS DETECTING it, The ROM is in a file called "Extended ROM"....OK .Is there a way to find the Simlock, file or cab, and delete it? the files are protected, cannot touch them,
If I cannot do anything ,I will try the old fashion...: stick it into the freezer a good 2-3 days.......ain't it funny?.... in fact the phone is now a vegetable, isn't it?
[email protected] for any further details ,pls mail

sounds great what about htc universal
Hi mike,
this sounds hopeful. Any idea about a HTC universal, will this work, are there differences?
Any reply would be greatly appreciated, as I am a bit getting desperate!
Greetings,
Curehead
Ok after an incident with a cup of coffee, my sound ceased working in phone, so, since everything else was working fine, and reading a load of threads on it I decided to downgrade back to the original ROM....
And I ended up stuck with that old 'Serial 1.01' message.
After reading more i downloaded mtty and got it to connect in USB, checked check the DOC, and as it was fine I was just going to download the restore files, when I noticed that the screen message had changed to 'USB'.....
So I started the Upgrade, and it found the Alpine, and worked fine!
So if you are stuck in bootloader, and you can connect with MTTY, run task 28 to check the DiskOnChip, if this is fine (no errors), then LEAVE IT IN THE CRADLE, check to see if 'USB' is showing on the screen, exit MTTY, and try upgrading again, hopefully it will work.
Happy New Year !!

hi every one.

MaUpdateUt_noID
I found it in forum
any one want to do this please try with only rom of xda 2i

Restore WM2003SE on Alpine; XDA IIi; qtek 2020i
I tried to upgrade my XDA IIi to WM6, being unaware that this was not possible, of course with the wrong updater, so I ended with cold brick.
After much pain and reading tons of nonsense and misleading or incomplete info written by people who have no idea of what they are talking about, I managed to revive it running the updater:
http://www.maxishare.net/en/file/378/alpine-1-11-171-radio-1-04-bluetooth-patched-camera-fixed-rar.html"
(Mirror 2) posted by kevcal
The device needs to be in BootLoader mode with the battery fully recharged.
How to Enter into BootLoader mode:
Press and hold the “Power” & “D” (navigation) buttons,
and then press the Reset Button until “Serial” shows on screen.
Plug device in the cradle. “Serial” will change to “USB”
Execute the file MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe from the above *.RAR archive
Alternatively, you can download and run
http://www.o2ug.ie/xda/AP_O2UK_11100...ShipXdaIIi.exe
from:
http://www.o2online.ie/wps/wcm/conn...es/Devices+&+accessories/Xda/Xda+II+upgrades/
Mega thanks guys!!! Legends! Woo

Now what?

So, now I cant get anything working in my P4350 except the bootloader mode.
The way I got here:
Installed many roms, trying to find the best for me. After some time, even the most stable rom was not stable, all of them crashed, freezed, rebooted after about 1 day usage. (With and without SD card, and no apps installed).
So I decided to remove hardspl and do the whole thing again. I downloaded Aserg-Remove-Hard-Spl pack, and run it. After the second step the phone was not completly blank, I saw the console staying at the "praying ..." text (without backlight), and the phone didnt responded for any buttons or touch. So here came the third step, the RUU, but it gave me error 260, that it cant find my device. (How would this, since the activesync was not connected?)
So i couldnt do anything, I soft reseted the phone, but it wont turned on, or it did but the screen left blank. - like no rom were installed. I tried to press the camera, and the RGB screen came up, saying IPL 4.14.0001 and SPL 4.70 Yang.
Tried to hard reset, but when I pressed send, it said fail.
Tried to update at this position with RUU, but its need activesync so it gave me the same error. Tried to install 3 different roms from 2 differenct SD Cards (that worked before), and It checks the Card, the the RGB screen comes up (like no rom would be on the SD card).
Created a GoldCard, and installed the official ROM. The "Checking SD Card" text stays here for 5 secs, then the RGB screen comes up.. wtf?
Same with heradiag.nbh
Now tried again the Hard reset, it said succesfull, but when it tries to boot I just get a green to black gardient image, something like this: http://www.cylekx.net/help/tutorial_assets/images/byte ramp and green gradient.jpg (but rotated), and nothing else happens.
Any ideas to get the device back to life?
Maybe there are some hardware malfunction inside the phone?
Thanks, and sorry if I posted this to a wrong thread. (was not sure where it should go)
Just got a WhiteScreen crash at the "Checking SD Contents" screen.. It cant be software problem i guess.

While your phone is in Bootloader mode, install the original ROM with the RUU. All Heralds (P4350) and Atlas'(Wing P4351) can be flashed while on the bootloader screen. Just disregard the step on the RUU that says to make sure your phone is connected to ActiveSync. Also if you have downloaded the whole RUU for the Original ROM, you have to edit the .EXE file to remove the .SPL file that is inside. You can use 7-Zip to get inside of the .EXE file. If not, then just install the ROM as you normally would. You will not need a SD card to install this. Let us know what happens. EVERYONE: if I have forgotten to mention something, please add.

Now i can connect with MTTY and write commands in the bootloader. With this SPL version most commands i found doesnt work, but I got some information about my phones status: the GoldCard's security level is 0, thats correct. The problem is with the CID: GetDeviceCID: Error - InitDecode
I think the problem is this, since it cant get the CID, cant verify the rom matches .
I can write things with mtty into ram or storage, is it possible to write the whole rom directly to the devices boot dir?

a INVALID MODEL ID error occurs when you use the wrong RUU/ROM for a phone. Heralds must use the Herald RUU and Wings must use the Wing RUU.
Herald RUU (P4350) <- English version is the 3rd link.
T-Mobile Wing [Atlas](P4351) RUU <- Phone Number and IMEI Required
T-Mobile Wing [Atlas](P4351) RUU<- Phone Number and IMEI NOT Required however I believe that this is an older Windows 6.0 Build
If you want to keep your phone hard spl'd, you need to modify the EXE of the RUU and erase the SPL.nbh file.
As far as writing the ROM directly, that is out of my expertise. Someone else will have to answer that.

Thanks for your help, but as i said my device ID is messed up with the USPL process... "GetDeviceCID: Error - InitDecoder" None of the RUUs works.
Waiting for the directly-writing method, or i'll have to replace the storage at the mainboard... (wont be cheap).
