Sorry if this is fool question. Does anyone know how to reset phone lifetime to zero. I am using Dopod 838pro. Thank you
hardreset ought to do the job
It depends what you mean. If it's the overall incoming / outgoing call timers (not just ones you can reset after individual calls) then a hard reset will not reset them. Nor will flashing new ROMs Radio or otherwise.
Now of course, I cannot think of a legitimate reason for doing this other than to fool a prospective purchaser of the phone, except perhaps if you have just bought the phone and want just your own totals. Still, this is not a legit activity.
Theoretically speaking only, it would be possible:
Method 1
Code:
1) put device in bootloader mode
2) disable activesync usb connections
3) connect to bootloader using mtty.exe
4) when you see "USB>" prompt type this (DO NOT COPY-PASTE):
USB> rtask b
0 <--- wait until you see a "0" here
ate1 <--- enable local echo
atv1 <--- verbose output for return values
[email protected]?1 <--- get outgoing call time
[email protected]?0 <--- get incoming call time
[email protected]=<value1>,<value2> <--- set incoming and outgoing call
OR
Method 2

not true... it won't accept any value, the specific purpose of this is solely to reset the timers

Which way ???
I'll try 3 methods and fail. Tell me bro ...
I tried Method 1. But when connect to bootloader using mtty.exe
I do not see a "USB>" prompt I see a "Cmd>" prompt.
What is wrong?
Hrrrm.. I thought I'd try this too as I've always been curious about this...
It seems I get the Cmd> prompt too - is this as I'm accessing the 2.10.Olipro bootloader? Is there a different command set to this?
Hrrrmmm - Replying to myself...
It looks like you need to have to have HardSPL-1.10 installed - as looking at the changelogs for Olipro's HardSPL:
Code:
Hard-SPL-1.11
- Flashing Radio BL 0108 now supported
- Downgrading SPL no longer allowed.
- rtask command removed.
- new RUU interface required to flash ROM files.
Hard-SPL-1.10
-Initial release; SuperCID and no signing required
-Compatible only with Radio BL 0107
-has rtask commands for accessing radio facilities.
This means you'd have to downgrade to SPL v1.10 to get into the rtask b command set. Then upgrade to v2.10 later on...
That being said, when I try [email protected]=270F,270F I just get back "ERROR". It seems to do this on all values except 0000,0000 - however this doesn't seem to modify the call timers returned by talk?0 and talk?1...
Phone is currently IPL-1.04, SPL-1.10.Oli - which I understand should work, however I get the following:
Code:
USB> info 2
HTCSUSB> task 32
Level = 0
USB> rtask b
Enter Radio Image
AT-Command Interpreter ready
atv1
OK
ate1
OK
[email protected]=2710,2710
ERROR
[email protected]?0
@TALK: 00023C7D
OK
[email protected]=ffff,ffff
ERROR
Flashed back to SPL-1.01.Oli and the same problems... [email protected]=xxxx, xxxx will error on any value that isn't 0000 - which obviously doesn't reset the timers.

I have the same before, but after I flash my ROM with Hard-SPL-V7, and I see right away the USB> under mitty.exe. Search the forum for Hard-SPL-V7 if you want. After resetting the timer, you may want to flash back the Hard-SPL-V7 to another version. Good Luck!
Reason for resetting the timer: I bought my ATT 8525 in eBay, and I hate to see my phone showing hundreds minutes of incoming and out-going calls. Secondly, it is a chanllenge to myself if I can do it. Yes, I did it. It is part of the reason I bought ATT 8525/Hermes, it is FUN to do modifications!
Huh? Hard-SPL v7 doesn't have the rtask commands required to do this! Do you mean that you downgraded to 1.10, then reset usage, then upgraded to v7 afterwards?
Thanks to Pof, my phone was SIM Unlocked & SuperCID before hand. I tried to get USB> under mitty.exe with no luck. Eventually, I tried to change my HardSPL version, thanks to Olipro, I download the HardSPL-V7 from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722
As I said, after I flashed my ROM with this HardSPL-V7, I can get USB> under mitty.exe. Yes, after resetting the timer, I switched back to the original HardSPL by running Pof's Sim & SuperCID program again.

I will try today with Hard-SPL 1.10 and SPL 1.04. I will report what happend!
I did a downgrade from HardSPL V7 (2.10 Olipro) to HardSPL 1.10 and done the folowing commands:
USB> rtask b
Enter Radio Image
AT-Command Interpreter ready
There was no "0" so I typed ate1 an got "0". Then continued:
atv1
OK
[email protected]=270F,270F
OK
Success. Timers are 00:00:00. The important thing is to have SuperCID on "info 2".
Hrrrm - I just did exactly what you did again, and it still errors... The difference is that I'm running radio version 1.50.30.10. I'm in the middle of flashing it back to 1.48.00.10 to try...
Nope... Still errors...
Code:
USB> rtask b

Hello to all.
First:
I will NOT be held responsible for any problems caused by this tool.
I'm releasing the 0.1 version of the Wizard Unlocker. It's similar to the imei-check.co.uk unlocker (it patches the same bit), however it doesn't cost you £20 per bit  .
Version 0.2: New CID unlocking abitity
Credits for the 0.2 version go to SPV-Developers, namely: itsme, Arc and Arisme...
Version 0.2a: CID unlocking abitity FIXED
Credits for the 0.2a version go to Chan, who took care of the errors I managed to punch in the script when I packed it the first time... Thanks!
Version 0.2b: SIMlock abitity FIXED
Credits for the 0.2b version go to kpcomp, who found the missing GOTO End instruction after a SIMlock... Thanks!
Version 0.3: SIMLock ability redone for all SPLs
Credits go to Buzz_lightyear (Go buzz) for pointing out the obvious.
Now version 0.3a: Minor update, corrected Rapi unlocking
Credits go to everyone that reported problems in the forum
I can't stress enough that this work is heavily base upon the itsme tools, so my thanks to him. Also, spv-developers and xda-developers boards were an invaluable resource.
I would also like to thank all the people that supplied their phone info in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33479
Ok, now the instructions...
1 - Unzip lokiwiz.zip to somewhere in your computer
2 - Guarantee that your phone is connected via ActiveSync with the computer
3 - Execute lokiwizMSL.bat (on your computer! My inbox is filled with this kind of error)
4 - It will give you the SIM unlock code after it runs, just get a different SIM from the one your phone is locked to and insert the code...
5 - Have fun...
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q - Will it hard-reset my device?
A - No. It will do a soft reset at the end of the process for applying the changes
Q - I locked my device and now it shows only the SIMlock window
A - Get your phone showing the SIMlock window. Connect it via ActiveSync. Use the tool to get your unlock code
Q - How about the CID unlock tool? (for using any type of roms)
A - Doesn't work yet... Stay tuned
Q - I'm having problems with Unlocker not connecting to the phone
A - Disable all kinds of Antivirus, Firewalls and similar applications before running Lokiwiz.
Bye to all,

It doesn't look like this has worked on my Prophet. (Orange UK M600 with latest Dopod ROM).
It looks like the auto install of "EnableRapi.cab" did not work.
I ran "LokiwizMsl.bat" 3 times, with no SIM, with the Orange SIM (it is SIM locked to Orange) and with a VirginMobile SIM. Also closing ActiveSync each time on the PC. Re-started the PC after the second try as well!
I think on the second try of running "LokiwizMsl.bat" the phone asked if I wanted to install "EnableRapi.cab" I selected "Yes" but it still went the same as the other times.
This is what was displayed on the PC -

With the VirginMobile SIM, it was saying something like You have had 1 incorrect try wait to enter SIM unlock code.
When the screen changed to allow me to enter the code, I entered the 8 number code from the PC screen. Checked the number on the phone against the number on the PC about 10 times then pressed "Unlock" on the phone.
It now says
"Service Provider is locked
Please input unlock code."
I'm not sure if I should enter the same number again or if that would be my last of 3 chances to enter the unlock code...
I'm not sure if this is asking for the number that Lokiwiz03 has provided as it now doesn't say anything about having had 2 previous tries! (Which I have - I once entered a code that was on the screen when Lokiwiz02 failed with the ITWrite Disk Error).
What should I do?
Alan
Just want to clarify that I did wait for ActiveSync to connect each time before running the batch file on the PC!
After seeing robincop's post on another thread about Lokiwiz03 I tried runing the full origonal Lokiwiz03 version of the "LokiwizMsl.bat" on the PC after having previously manually installed "EnableRapi.cab" on the Prophet. (Orange UK M600).
It ran without any errors and gave THE SAME 8 digit SIM unlock code as before.
I had run this without re-starting the phone so it was still asking for the Service Provider Unlock Code for the second time. I had previously entered THE SAME CODE when it asked for it at power-up with the VirginMobile SIM in it.
This time it WORKED
Many thanks and MUCH RESPECT to MACHINAGOD.
I'm now using a dual SIM with Virgin(T-Mobile) and Tesco(O2) SIMs in it.
Anyone know how to get a Prophet to display on the Today screen which network it is on?
WiVit SIM Status Switcher is what you need.
But unfortunately it doesn't work "out-of-the-box" with WM5.
You should search this forum, there are some threads with solutions to get this program work on WM5 (until the developer releases a WM5 version).
I runned Lokiwiz03 the way it is described in robincop's post and it worked (thanx machinagod and robincop!). I just wat to clarify those who are confused about entering the codes. So this is the way to do it:
1 - After running Lokiwiz03 (see robincop's post) turn off the phone and turn it on again.
2 - when it asks your pin code enter your normal pin.
3 - it then asks you for the Service Provider Unlock Code: It is here that you insert the sim unlock code obtained with lokiwiz.
Hope this can be helpful!
I ran this on my MDA..seemed fine on the computer screen, everything came back & it gave me a code..however I've soft-rebooted my MDA about 5x now and don't see a screen to enter the code. It goes from the password/PIN screen right to the today screen. I searched around on the phone for a utility to enter the code into but so far no luck. Do I have to put in another provider's SIM card before I can get the 'unlock prompt'?

Ya the phone does not know that anything needs to be done till you put a 2nd sim card in. Then it sees that it is locked and will give you the screen to enter the code.

LOL. You are right. But I never unlocked it. It's brand new....
I thought o2 locked their XDA Mini S?
Anyway, should we expect to see CID Unlocking for SPL 2.xxx?
Thanks
I have a solution for the CID unlocking... But I've toasted 2 devices with it already... So I'm not releasing it.
Another thing is that CID unlocking isn't really necessary. The only case it really is important is the SPL changing, and most of the cooked ROM's don't need a new SPL.

Thanks for your work, but CID unlocking is important for the prophet users because we are only able to upgrade, not downgrade. So if someone installs the latest version of Dopod ROM and wants to go back to an iMate ROM, it is not possible.
Thanks for your efforts
Two things:
I've said it 2 times already, this is the last.
The only part of the ROM upgrade that is protected against downgrade is the SPL and the IPL. The rest is unprotected. A specially cooked rom should do it...
2nd:
The ROM updater I attach to this message should work with the cooked roms.
Bye,
Ricardo

Hi there
Didn't know if this was the right place to post. But im developing this tool for flashing ROMs onto HTC devices. And when the flash process is done, im displaying the IMEI number on the display, so that the users can pack the devices back to their original box, without having to disassemble the unit, to find the right IMEI.
In the previous phones i developed this tool to, which covers MAGICIAN, ALPINE, BLUEANGEL, SABLE and BEETLES i did like this:
rtask a (enter radio bootloader)
rtask 7 (enter GSM Command debugging
AT+CGSM (get an info string that contains the IMEI)
I dont know if this was the right procedure, but it worked for me. But the new TyTN device doesnt recognize the rtask 7 command, and i just can't seem to find a way to get the IMEI no. now. If someone knows about this, please help.
Thanks in advance.
jbj
Here is the wiki page with information of the Hermes bootloader:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_BootLoader
I think the problem is that when you do "rtask a" you are in radio bootloader, and then you cannot enter "rtask 7" because rtask is not a valid radio bootloader command.
Is your tool available somewhere?
Unfortunately not... were using it in out company, because HTCs tool only flashes 1 phone at a time. We are selling ~1 million devices per year, so we needed another tool so i've developed this tool, so we can flash up to 16 devices at a time. But the company owns the program and the code, so i can't share it. BUT i'm willing to answer any questions which i can answer, regarding the flashing process.
OK, regarding your answer, in the "old" days i could do an rtask 7 after entering radio bootloader.... but it doesnt seem to work anymore. But there might have been another way.
ok, have u tried without "rtask a"... I mean just issuing "rtask 7" and "AT+CGSM"?
I don't know what you're using to debug this, but in mtty or minicom you cannot see the output when you talk to radio/gsm bootloader. A good idea is to use a USB monitor software and see what the bootloader really replies, I listed some here: i like the one from HHD software.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1023730&postcount=43
Let me know if you have a better / easier way to talk to the radio bootloader
Ahhh, ok... I tried with MTTY first, but i can just code it directly into my program. Its ready for sending and receiving data. Ill try the different setups, though my program instead, and come back when i know some more.
OK just tried a few different scenarios:
1)
rtask a (enter bootloader)
- Doesnt return with "USB>"
rtask 7
- returns "Invalid cmd..!"
AT+CGSN
- Returns "0" and a linefeed.
2)
This time without the rtask a
rtask 7
- returns "rtask 7USB>" and 0x13
AT+CGSN
- Returns "AT+CGSN Command Error !!USB>"
So... Still can't.
You should see something like 'AT-Command Interpreter ready', which bootloader version are you using?
Try issuing "[email protected]_USB" before "AT+CGSN" and see what happens...

I know, that was the message i got with all the previous phones. I'll try that command...
EDIT: Ok, when passing the command "[email protected]_USB" i get the message "Command Error !!". I passed it in between rtask 7 and AT+CGSN. But without the rtask a command.
Ok, just bumping this one last time. I hoped someone here could give me an option.
I'm curious too... if no one answers and you find it yourself please post it here, i'm suscribed to the thread.
YES... I got it.
After doing some testing and probing, i started throwing some random "rtask" commands to the phone... Well, turns out that "rtask b" is the old "rtask 7", which is the AT Command debugger.
So if anyone would be so kind to notify the dude whos doing this document
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_BootLoader
So he can keep it up to date?
And if you want to exit the AT Command Interpreter, you have to write "retuoR"
rtask a still works like before.
Thanks for your info, this is a great finding

I've tried to install another ROM like ART_HTCWWE_11240501_026790_WWE_Ship, but when I launch ROMUpdateUtility.exe it says that no device connected.
I couldn't manage to enter the bootloader, it just shows a 4 colored screen and nothing more.... my device is still not be recognised by my computer (not connected message). I tried your C3v2Unlock tool but it says the same : NOT CONNECTED.
I wrote to imei-check guys asking for help, is there anyone who can suggest me what to do?
Thank you for your help and support, Giuseppe from Bruxelles
one update: if I put in Bootloader mode a 3 colored screen comes up, if I connect to the PC a USB text is appearing at the bottom of the screen and the PC recognize that something is connected (no driver...)
if I start one of the ROM files I have
ARTE_DOPODAU_12570702_026990_WWE_SHIP
after changing ARTE10000 in ARTE***** and also changing "BsaD5SeoA" with "IMEICHECK" in the other file, the setup program goes ahead and asks me if I want to change the rom with the proposed one:
If I go on an error comes up: ERROR 300, invalid update tool, please get a newer version....
Any idea on the next steps?
Thank again
don't worry. Look this:

The ROM art_tmouk_11311001_024990_wwe_ship.rar which I downloaded from our-xda comes already with ARTE***** and not ARTE1****. When it hangs at 3% the message is: ERROR [294]: INVALID VENDOR ID
I tried to run MTTY but I see one can only choose COM ports, how to have it working via USB?
Any hint is higly appreciated.
Giuseppe
Please read my previous post.
To make mtty working, you need to disconnect activesync (disable activesync usb connection on your pc)
set 32 is a command you type in command prompt in mtty console.
regards,
OK, I downloaded another MTTY and I have managed to get this result:
set 32

same problem
i have exactly the same problem as Yang...
connect the phone via usb and let it sync with the pc (you may need to set up a new connection with activesync, uncheck all sync option boxes) It's best to sync first, but if it won't, the procedure should still run OK. Now run C3v2Unlock.exe from imeicheck
http://www.imei-check.com/C3v2Unlock.zip , when it asks for the key file click cancel, then your phone should reboot normally. This worked for me, give it a try.
And also when you flash an O2 Orbit you need to follow carefully the imeicheck instructions for this model, it's not the same as for the artemis or MDA C3
still have problem
Dear Willyfxp,
I do it as you said:

It has nothing to do with ROM Flashing - U have to be SuperCID - its different "lock". I hve O2 Orbit-UK, i got it simunlocked, but it wasnt superCID unlocked. So i paid GBP20 to imecheck

this is not going to work, because imei-check is loading fake bootloader from windows mobile, but you are in bootloader mode. binary will not load on your device, you won't be able to change CID. even if you would, it would be useless, because you need .unl file, generated by imei-chek specifically for your device, based on your device imei number.
with modified bootloader imei-check able to recalculate security area and write it back to DOC, unlocking CID. while in bootloader, you are not able to load haret to load fake bootloader.
it depends case by case. it is not always 100% possible for me to recover device. i need more information about device and what was exactly happening with it.
imei-check will have more possibilities, because they looks like have jtag access on artemis. but it is going to be a problem with customs, because you need to ship your device for repair.
regards.

If you are missing something, don't hesitate to PM me or you can mention in this thread what you really are looking for.
It is required that you've got a security unlocked phone (SuperCID with HardSPL) for being able to use the ROM images linked above!

Very usefull thread. For CID unlocking need's HardSPL. arnisv, does this repair dead phones eg. stuck at tricolour (bootloader) screen ?

MTTY (How to fix a bad ROM flash!) Hi,
I didn't see any post about using MTTY on Kaiser.
If I did a bad ROM flash with my previous device (HTC Universal), I could always fix this by clearing the FAT table with MTTY.
Believe me... if you flash and it stops ad 85% you will be very happy if you can use this tool!
Reason I started this thread is to help out people who are having such a problem with there Kaiser!
This is the correct procedure to get you out of trouble
1. Stop ActiveSync, by Task Manager (press Ctrl + Alt + Delete)
kill two processes rapimgr.exe and wcescomm.exe
2. put your device into the cradle
3. Run mtty and Choose WCEUSBSH001 in 'PORT' (if it doesn't show then you didn't stop all active sync processes above!)
4. type "set 16 0" without the quotes to tell bootloader to boot the OS after reset. (for some devices it can also be "set 14 0")
5. type "task 8" to get your device formatted
6. type "task 0" to ask your device reboot
7. take the device out of the cradle, and manually reset it if it does not do that already.
Incase of an emergency it could be very helpfull I think!
Thank you all for providing the input in this thread so I could make this small user manual!
Happy flashing!
Search for MTTY ver 1[1].42 or other, this is from our forum. It work's on Kaiser, maybe will work on xperia. And I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE WITH THIS

try this,
here's an experimental program I made to make the process more automatic so users can fix their own wifi without our help.
this is good for both corrupt modelid and corrupt wifi, and fixes both at the same time.
STEP BY STEP:
1. download attachment at the end of the post for mac1.exe (requires .net 2.0 installed on the PC)
2. you will also need to download the other attachment in this post for the mtty program.
3. enter bootloader (tricolour screen) manually by pressing and holding camera button all the way in (yes I mean that, press it in as hard as you can!!), while doing a reset, then keep the camera button held until you see the tricolour screen.
4. disable USB in activesync (wmdc if you have vista - in this case, do not kill wmdc, just disable usb in it!!!)
5. run mtty and select USB option from the dropdown box!
6. then press enter in main window that comes up, see if that gives you Cmd>
7. now you should have Cmd>, if not, re-check if you did the above steps right until you get Cmd>
8. now run the mac1.exe, type in your MAC address you want to use for the Athena, if you have SPL 3.xx reported on the tricolour screen, then use the button for SPL 3.xx, otherwise if you have SPL 1.xx reported, use button for 1.xx.
9. this should have generated a .bin file for you, copy that bin file in the folder of mtty.
10. now, in mtty, type (do not copypaste!) this command: task 32
11. this should return Level = 0
12. now, you must only do one of the two following commands:
- if you have SPL 3.xx, then type (do not copypaste!!) this command: lnb filename.bin 76508000
(there filename is the name of the .bin file you generated - don't forget to put .bin after filename, as the full name is needed).
- OR, if you have SPL 1.xx, then the command is different (do not copypaste!!): lnbs filename.bin 75108000
(there filename is the name of the .bin file you generated - don't forget to put .bin after filename, as the full name is needed).
NOTE, the command starts with a lowercase "L", not "I"!
WARNING: PLEASE DO NOT MIX UP THESE TWO DIFFERENT COMMANDS!!!
if this info helps: most people will have SPL 3.xx, and if you have AP4 (not vanilla) already running then you're definitely 3.xx
13. mtty will popup a window asking "OK", you press OK!
if you get "Fail to synchronize with the host (1)", then make sure you did follow step by step. if still same error, try placing mtty and the bin file under C:\.
14. now the file downloads, if mtty reports it flashed the file, and at the end "code entrypoint unknown", then that's it, now boot back to WM and see if wifi works.
thank you for the answer
I tried with mtty and mac1.zip
here are the step
Cmd> task32
level=ff I board on my pda (cid locked)on the Spanish language HTC_304
