I edited a setting in bluetooth settings in my registry now it won't pair up with my handsfree any more says network connection or invalid passkey. It pairs up with other blue tooth just fine but not my hands free. Any body have any ideas on how to fix.
Changed settings back and soft reset no go. Still won't pair
I tried the headset on another phone and it works fine. Also the 8525 will connect to other phones via bluetooth. When I try and pair the head set it ask me to type passkey(which is 0000). It tells me there is a network connection error or the passkey is wrong. Anyone know a way to fix this without hard reset
OK got the headset to pair now It won't rought anything through it

hi guys, i bought a new o2 xda2 from my friend. he also had a logitech hs02-v bluetooth headset working with it. i took the headset to try but it didnt communicate while the xda2 had paired it.
i tried other headsets but no one worked.
xda2 finds the headset, make a pairing(i enter the passkey 0000) and then nothing....
so please help me
Connect the headset to the PC using the utility provided and change the paskey to any other(Like 1234) and then try pairing it...
Most probably it should work fine...

Did you turn your "Bluetooth Profile ON"?
After you paired your bluetooth-device.
You need to turn bluetooth on (by click at bottom right at Bluetooth icon).
and To turn bluetooth headset on, You need to click at Bluetooth Profile to make it on.
The Bluetooth Profile is stay on your Today screen.
:?:  I have exactly same problem, using latest official rom and stuff - no bt tools or something.
Update: Works with BTTools  8)
Update of update: It seems that headset needs pairing each time after you turn it off and on.
I just got the logitech one this morning, it works ok with the MS stack, but I prefer using the widcom stack.
When I use the widcom stack the icon saying that I have the bluetooth headset is there, but the calls dont get channeled to it.
Is it possible to use the widcom stack for headsets? Or is it simply an incompatability?
ok i simply hard reset the device and the profiler brought bluetooth profile. now its ok.
I paired my bleutooth headset several times now. It connects allright but everytime I have to give the headset password . I thought pairing was needed only one time.
I hope somebody has an answer for me .
Hmm, perhaps an obvious question but how do you pair your device? What steps are you taking?
I had this problem once, every time I came into range of my carkit there was the bluetooth message a device was trying to pair and I had to give the password.
However once I removed the pair and did it again it worked properly...
Hello Raptor, thats exactly what happens.
I pair the first time the headset and the s200 by holding a button and then de s200 asks for the key, i klick finish and it works fine.
But nex time I want to use the headset whe recognizes the headset but asks for the key again.
Hmm.. that's kinda weird. Dunno if you can "reset" the headset in any way?
With my carkit the problem was (I think/guess) that the carkit remembered the pair with my s200, but since I upgraded the rom the s200 didn't know the carkit anymore. But since I used the same name etc on my s200 something might have gone wrong.
It could be however that when you try to pair with your headset and you have to enter the password a popup comes up saying a device is trying to pair with your s200. You have to ignore that popup and just pair from the bluetooth settings of the s200 (from where you started, not the popup).
At least that's what happened on the carkit lol Never had a problem with my headset though :/
So I did a reset on the carkit and removed the pair from the s200, then searched again for a bluetooth device on the s200, paired with password and then it worked properly.
Hello Raptor, I tried your option several times but the situation stays the same. But thx for your input.
Hmm.. does the headset have a password at all? Maybe you can leave the password entry empty? Although I'm afraid it wont.
But otherwise I hope someone else can help you with this :/
I'm speechless, this morning te headset connected without asking for the password.
Beats me, but i'm happy!
Greetings!
So i once paired my phone with my car stereo handsfree, but since it was a $100 stereo, the handsfree didn't work correctly. So i don't want to use it anymore. But the stupid stereo have no way to turn off bluetooth.
I tried deleting the stereo from paired devices, and set my phone bluetooth to "hidden" - but that stupid stereo still finds me, and a message about "bla bla wants to connect" pops up everytime i get into my car.
I also tried disconneting power from my stereo, and use the reset switch on it, which reset all settings on it - but IT STILL FINDS MY PHONE!
Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? At the end of the day, i have like 10 notifications on my phone i have to go through and click "No" on...
On the Wizard did you ...?
1) Push the Comm mgr tab
2) Click on settings
3) BlueTooth Settings
4) Mode: UN-check the box "Make this device discoverable to other devices"
5) click OK.
If you didn't do that, try it.
Then go to B/T settings again and pick devices, and remove the device giving you trouble.
That SHOULD do it.
as mentioned i have already made it undiscoverable for other devices. But it still tries to connect to me...
Hi, i just bought a universal bluetooth headset but i cannot set up my phone to work with it. I turned my bluetooth function on and set my phone visible but i still cannot find the bluetooth headset. Does anyone know why?
You don't want the bluetooth headset to see the phone... you want the phone to see the headset... Setting the phone to visible is for other phones/computers to be able to see it...
By default, all you should need to do is...
1. Have your bluetooth set to "on" on your phone
2. Turn on the BT headset
3. Add new device
4. See headset and tap on it and then next
5. Pair it with 0000 or 1234
6. It should set it to heaset automatically
Sometimes just having the bluetooth headset on is not enough, you have to put it in discovery mode. (The headset manual should say how to do this)
I'm having a new issue with a Plantronics Discovery 975 that worked just fine with my HTC Touch Cruise. With the HTC Touch Cruise I could power off the headset and it would reconnect when turned back on. With the HD2 I have to pair it each time I turn it on.
Anyone have a fix?
try
with the headset connected
settings menu all settings bluetooth select the headset in the list click properties tick connections authorised.
I am having same problem with pairing with my parrot system. This has happened since upgrading the rom on my t-mobile HD2
Thanks. I'll give that a try. I had found that I could go into the Bluetooth settings and See the headset list and could tell it to connect. One little step better than pairing it again. It just seems like that should be the default behavior. Who want to go into the phone each time and tell it to connect the headset?
