Hi, having lots of probs with tomtom and my orange SPV M3100.
It just hangs - sometimes on the tomtom menus sometimes whilst driving
pressing the END CALL button to return to home screen then the small tomtom icon in the bottom corner to return into tomtom sorts problem out.
It hangs/freeze/crashes randomly - can be every 10 seconds to 5 minutes.
I have tried a hard reset and reloaded tomtom with no other apps.
Running TOMTOM 6.010
tomtom GPS V1.20
I had that problem too. I've used all versions of TTN, hard reset and installed only TTN and nothing fixed it.
Then i've upgraded my ROM and it fixed it.
I'm now using an AKU 3.3 ROM with TTN 6.03.
Cheers
bit of a newbie to all this - where do I download the rom from?
just noticed you have the Herm200 - I think mine is the herm100
will that kill all my orange settings on phone?
Cheers

I'm afraid so and forget about warranty...
I had no operator branding on my device. You should read more about flashing the ROM. It was my first time flashing a ROM. I just got lucky with it.

I did the same upgrade (Except Radio is 1.27), yet I still experience freezes with TT 6.03 sometimes...
I had this problem, I stuck my card into a card reader and ran chkdsk and got a whole lotta errors, I then formatted the card and reinstalled and everything worked and has been working since

I would like to install Spb Pocket Plus on my TyTN but I heard from some users that they had experienced some major problems with TyTN. Anybody had experiences with Spb Pocket Plus on TyTN? Thanks.
Works great on my TyTN.
I have a Dopd 838 Pro and spbservices.exe does not automatically start when I reset. I need to start is manually. This is the SPB process that provideds addtional features such as Battery Level at the top of the screen and Close Button options. Once I execute this file everything works fine.
Anyhow have this problem and know how to correct it?
Thanks.
unfortunately had to uninstall from mine...
Unit was getting freeze all the time and i had to do to much soft resets (over 10 a day)
As soon as it was uninstalled - started working OK.
I would love to put it back.... but........
I have no problems with it all... it does warn you during the install to make sure to use Main Memory (and not a storage card). Could this be your issue?
I had to upgrade to 3.0 from 2.5, but it works fine!
Not sure if its a problem from SBP pocket plus but once I have had it installed on my hermes (orange spvm3100) and after a few days of use the today plugin flashes on and off (the entire pocket plus today plugin disappears and reapears) constantly.....then the phone function stops working, only way to resolve is through a master reset!
The pocket plus I installed I used the same cab file on my MDA vario and that works fine so Im guessing its either a pocket plus wm5 glitch or something with the phone.....not sure which though!
Once hard reset the phone works fine again with no problems. Do spb do a wm5 version of pocket plus?
cheers

forgot to add: I'm on v3.1.2 build 5372 installed to main memory.
I'm using Plus 3.1.2 and I have no problms mentioned above. Just small thing. When I execute some link using action button (i.e. rotate screen) hw direction keys stop working under Plus until I use touch screen. When I use touh scren for executing, everything works fine. However, I can live with it
I actually have it running on my SD card and it seems to be working fine. It is okay for 2 days now. However, I had a lot of problems with PocketBreeze and after uninstall that software everything is back to normal. My phone froze 5 times in one day of using PocketBreeze.
With my jasjam i have no problems' its wors smoothly

Ver 3.1.2 works like a charm here too. No probs at all.

Works find NOW
I had problems with all SPB softwares and after reinstalling them on the main memory and not on the micro-sd everything works great.
I am not sure if the problem come from spb Pocket+ (3.0) but after the installation my TyTN (french) worked fine ... until I soft reset.
Then the device refused to start and I was force to hard reset...
It happen twice and I don't feel a third test...
Imer
I've got 3.1.2 and spb diary 2.0.2 installed to main memory and they work very very well no slowdowns at all and I would highly recommend them
Jeremy
I had this running fine on Tytn for 3 weeks or so, but its running off the main memory.
Finaly I upgrade with the version 3.1.2 and all is working fine

Problem solved. I did a hard reset, since I needed to clear out some other programs. Loaded Pocket Plus on my memory card and now everything works great. No problems at all on my Dodod 838 Pro.
I run v.3 on my TyTN and everything is OK. I recommend it.

is your tytn branded or unbranded?
I got an Orange SPV M600 a couple of weeks ago. I played around with it and it seemed quite slow and unstable (switching off in standby mode, random resets etc). I knew about XDA developers from when i had an XDA many moons ago, so I thought I would check out some rom upgrades for the SPV.
I tried Jesters 2.2 AKU rom which speeded things up a lot..but still the random resets persisted and were starting to piss me off.
I stuck an standard rom on and wiped the ext rom and restored an orange uk ext rom and bootscreens then rang orange.
They kindly replaced the phone and since then it has been in perfect working order. running really fast and has given me no problems whatsoever.
The moral of the story......if your phone is acting up, resetting and generally being arse..it may not be the rom thats the problem but a hardware fault. The M600 is superb now and although I would like to upgrade the rom to get some of the new features from a higher AKU I am going to restrain my self from doing so as it runs so well now.
On another note, can anyone recommend a good program that provides a proper close button for apps on the spv, so the apps close instead of minimise?
try HTC-X for closing apps
Or Magic Button...
once bitten....
I got HTC-X and this works fine for me. Does anyone have any experience with bluetooth GPS for the SPV M600? I have TomTom on an SD for my old navman PiN 570 and would like to get an external GPS for the M600 so i can use TomTom on it.
Im running the original WM6.1 rom on my touch HD and have both copilot 6 and iGo8 installed. But today while using iGo8 it went crazy, giving me wrong directions and starting to re-calculate a new route. I tried copilot and the screen did not move at all despite me driving along. All the other features of these sat nav programs work fine as before and the device seems to be functioning normally with texting, calling etc. Has anyone experienced this? I'm beginning to think it might be a hardware problem because I've not changed any of the settings and it stopped working out of the blue..

Same thing happened to me when using Garmin, not sure what the pron was I just did a soft reset and it was sorted try that first
Hi,
I've been searching the forum and google for few days now, have found some similar problems but no real fixes.
My problem: while using tomtom 7, my trinity goes into suspend mode after 3mins. i have tried unticking "turn of backlight if device not used" and "turn of device if not used" but still no luck while using tomtom. this is when running off the battery.
weird thing is when tomtom is not running, the deivce will happily stay on. its like tomtom itself is telling the device to go into suspend mode.
is this a known bug in tomtom 7? or is it to do with trinity or the rom?
i've tried using little app called screen on that is supposed to stop backlight going off but this didn't work with tomtom.
Thanks!
TomTom: 7.915.9196
Map: 8.35.2421
ROM: WM6.5 Pro 5.2.21231
Radio: 1.50.08.11
It has something to do with TomTom but also with os and or screen lock apps. So be more specific. what rom do you have and dou you have some screen lock programs installed (s2u2 or csdevcrtl or similar)
no screen lock. I was using windows own screen lock but I have tried turning that off incase but problem persists.
WM6.5 Pro 5.2.21231
Exact Rom download: TRIN_WM6.5__3_00_707_50__B21231
after trying everything possible and nothing working having blammed problems on bug in TomTom, it seems the problem was the ROM.
so i flashed a different ROM and can confirm TomTom is working fine and stays on regardless of power settings in OS
latest ROM i've tried and no power problems is

Well this thing keep frustrating me for a while and now i`m not so sure what about it.
My HD2 hangs when i start any of GPS related software such as IGo 8.3, Amigo or Primo.
Sometimes it takes a half an hour without problem and sometime it`s just hang when i want to create a route.
Screen is just freeze and only way to get it back is to remove battery and put it back again. Sometimes he just reset by itself.
I`ve tried 6-7 diferent version of IGo.
Tried it on several version of Dutty and Energy roms.
i`ve tried with 2 SD cards and tried to format from the phone.
All this i`ve tried with radion 2.15.50.
if you have any suggestion please respond what to do.
one thing i didn`t tried yet is to start navi software from Android but for now i would like to run Win Mo and some igo version.
Regards
I have Duttys V18 and the same ROM as you have. And I have not experienced the problems you described. So either it is a GPS problem (hardware) or a specific iGo configuration problem.
Did you use the same sys.txt for every iGo version?
Can you use Google maps without a problem?
HI,
i`ve tried several different sys.txt version even i take Igo from my friend which is running Primo without problem on his HD2 but in my HD2 have same problems.
Sometime it runs for about 45 mins without problem and sometimes hangs for a 2-3 minutes.
GPS hardware is OK because i`ve test it with some gps utility which comes with NRG roms and it seems OK.
When i start Primo finding satellites lasts maybe 10 -20 seconds which is great.
Have you tried the software on the stock ROM? If it still freezes then you may have a hardware issue, perhaps heat related as navigation is quite an intensive task.
There is two more things to try but i`m close to admit that it`s mainboard failure problem
1. to flash stock rom and try it
2. to flash android nand and to try somekind of Igo navigation for android.
Guys, i have the same issue,my HD2 hangs when i am starting iGO, i changed my Memory card to 16GB class4 in case if theres a prob with memory card, and still the same, i flashed many NAND Roms and had the same result, don`t know how to recognize AGPS hardware fault, i am going nutts, it gets hot when hangs in the bottom section back side down to the battery, in the memory and SIM card section, what to do? do i have to install Win mo or just consult a hardware engineer?, please assist and advise.
No good news!
