I got the TyTN ROM 1.18.262.2 Spanish. It comes with the SIM Manager (file SIM_Mgr.exe) v5.22. It got a very evidently bug that causes that the sorting by name be incorrect. I've found the file SIM_Mgr.exe v5.26, I've overwrited the old file (using resco explorer) and now this bug is gone
My question is, does someone got a newer version of this file in order to keep it as up to date as possible?
BTW: I ve attached the v5.26 to the post for those who may use it.
Found v5.29. Fully working on Hermes.

Out member Indra created an Universal Rom with a "Crossbow look".
He replaced every icon 1 by 1 into Universal's shellres.dll (and it works).
I made a dump of the Universal Rom and my Wizard Rom (with imgfs_tools), after that I
located the file where the icons are in, in the Wizard Rom (the file: shellres.96.dll) but after
editing this file (in the dump, made with imgfs_tools) by replacing some icons (with Resource Hacker)
and after that building a new Rom does not work.
A lot of icons (that I didn't changed) are not there anymore...?
So I wanted to copy the shellres.96.dll file directly from my device, but then I get an access denied error.
So, can someone supply my with the shellres.96.dll file from a Wizard Rom (not a Wizard rom dump!) or
can someone tell me what I did wrong with the replacing of the icons?
regards,
Molski
I also want to know how...and where can we find the icons???
Cheers,
I also want to know how????????????
Hi molski.
It just so happens I was working on using systems native icon in LVMTime to make it compatible with WM 6.
In VGA devices (like Uni) the icons are in shellres.192.dll. The number stands for "pixels per inch" the system reports.
Hello everybody
when i update my device to a newer rom i found couple problems on my hardware keyboard ,, and somebody told me you have to copy keybddr.dll from your previus rom ( i-mate K-Jam 2.16 arb ) then copy the file to windows folder on the newer rom ( accept the replacing )
but when i try to copy it i get the message : you can't copy the file
i used resco explorer and total commander all same problem.
im not an experience on dumping , if something can i do it without coding ; it will very well .
if you need the rom here you are ftp://ftp.clubimate.com/K-JAM_Arabic_2160901_21609102_20710_ship.zip
thanx in advanced
In my mind, copy it is a problem, ovewrite it to your device is another problem. First problem is easy to deal, if the system is WM5, the second one perhaps is easy too if you can modify the registry to rename the drivers' name.
I have GoogleMaps 3.0.0.12 pre-installed.
(How) Can I upgrade to GoogleMaps 3.3?
Topaz (Diamond2) / WM 6. unlocked
yes, you definitely can.
Just find the cab and it will install over your current version.
i have checked this version, but i think this link might be a newer version...
thanks to vagrik and his Tiger ROM for this...
you can!
and i recommend, if you do install the newer version, install it on your storage card - so the cache (which is sometimes signifikant), will also go to your SD Card.

The site where u can download version 3.3 from
http://news.softpedia.com/news/Google-Maps-3-3-Released-for-WM-and-Symbian-Phones-128703.shtml
I installed Google Maps v3.3 on my HTC Pure and it never saw my GPS. This was the direct download from Google. It said it did not support my phone. I reverted back to the older version from my Tilt, and that works fine.
Thats because the GoogleMaps 3.3 cab file is programmed bad. It appears to be missing a "\" from all of the reg entry paths and file links. The cab actually installs 2 of the same file. 1 has a correct path... the other is screwed up.
Here is the 3.3 files. If you already have Google Maps installed, then just over write older files with these updated ones.
GoogleMaps doesn't hardly use any reg keys on install. Cooking in GoogleMaps, I've never had to change the reg entries. So you'll be fine just over writing the files.
Thanks for your contribution, I overwrote the zip files but did not notice any difference. Even my version number stays the same: 3.2

Hi there
Can I check that the recommended way to move to v3.3 from the stock version that comes from HTC with the phone is to download the attached CAB file and just run that? Should the install be to the Device or the SD Card? Presumably to overwrite it should be to the same place that the stock version is currently installed...which I assume is the Device? But if one want to take advantage of installing to the SD card so that the cache also resides there (suggestion from earlier poster) who would one uninstall the stock offering that came with the phone?
Apologies for all the questions. I am a newbie and just getting into this.
Cheers

Hi all,
im wondering if it is possible to elevate ones priviledges to the point one can copy out an (administrator?) owned dll to a normal user sd card .. i ask as i had the need recently and had the problem of the dll showing up in an explorer search and not having the ability to copy after the fact .. I read in the MS dev pages that WM6 introduced new infosec details that prevented the same as WM5 but yet short of dumping a rom or unpacking a nbh file myself i have found no way of simply copyng a dll or equiv etc .. ideas ?
I added some priv escalation cab i found while searching but it did no good (for me)
Cheers
Hi, my first post here...
I just flashed the Energy 21908 Glass rom...
showpost.php?p=5044378&postcount=2
I was trying to enable the simplified chinese displaying on the phone without installing the IME...
So I installed the font in this thread: Arphic Crystal CHS Fonts
showthread.php?t=700311
However, when it restart, I found some of the interface changed to chinese but some of them remained in english...
Then I tried to uninstall the package but the characters which was in chinese before then displayed as "chequers"
I think the Arphic Crystal CHS Fonts package might be not compatible with the earlier energy rom..
I uploaded the edited cab file which I did some minor change with the registry... So far it works fine!
Please note: the revised cab is only suitable for those who want to read website, contacts, emails and message in chinese. it will not change the interface. the device interface will remain in English~~~
Regarding the TOMTOM issue... After the installation, it pops up an error window showing "bttray.exe is not a valid wince application"...
when I searched through the forum, someone suggested to delete the btcoreif.dll and btsdk30.dll in the rom after installation (but before restart)...
However, it did not work in my case...I tried to delete but the the two files are in rom and not able to be deleted. The cause of the problem is: when you install the tomtom, the older version file (i.e. btcoreif.dll and btsdk30.dll) in tomtom cab will replace the existing file in your rom...And then it could not be deleted or renamed!!! In your case, may be not...
So I deleted this two dll files in the tomtom original cab and then installed in my HD2... it works fine now... no popups, and the bluetooth works well... I uploaded to megaupload for someone who wants a simple solution~~~
megaupload.com/?d=KIED69VX
Lastly, I recommend a software: WinCE CAB Manager. When you open an cab file with this tool on your computer, it will clearly show the file structure... how the cab will modify your registry...what files will be added to your rom...etc.
Cheers,
conant
Your modified Arphic Crystal CHS Fonts package works fine. Thanks!
