My wizard died

Hello!
I have strange problem with my Wizard. 4 month ago i was trying to install Pathfinder 1.2, but when I installing this ROM using ShellTool my PDA bricked. Now all the time it's frozen on Splashscreen with IPL/SPL GSM and OS information. All HR completed without any errors and all ROM's upgrading finish correctly.
Once time, after 2 months for breaking, my Wizard just started and working very well, I do 2 HR and few SR and my Wizard still working good, but when I shut it down and pull out battery my Wizard again frozen and until now can't wake up. I have CID Unlocked by imei-check. I tried to install many different ROM's, e.g. Wizard Love, Dopod (CHS), T-Mobile, Orange (PL) but nothing work. I also tried way with SD Card but my ROM's doesn't work, I think I need some working dumped ROM. I was searching help on few forum but poeple on polish forums don't know how to help me. May someone here have idea where can i find working dumped ROM or have any other idea how can i fix my Wizard?

which is your device,post full data of your phone,IPL/SPL...? Make...?
As you say you installed through Shelltool,is it a G4 DOC chip version ?
You say it's stuck at the splash screen with ipl/spl and gsm version,which splash screen,is it OS (Rom) initial splash screen or a Bootloaders (Multicolored) screen ?
Secondly ,try to get it into bootloaders (multicolor) screen,if it gets into bootloaders,connect it to PC via usb cable,check small usb appears at the bottom of the bootloader mode in the phone,if it does,than flash a carrier's official Rom to recover back to it's default status.

Try the Button's ROM (which is in Wizard Upgrading subforum). Then unlock it again (It may be causd by a fake CID unlock when you try to unlock when IPL/SPL is 2.xx)

You can download this rom CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE.exe on XDA,it contains IPL/SPL 1.01,and upgrad this rom,then you'll find your IPL downgrad to 1.01,and SPL still is 2.24,and then,use aWizard tu unlock your CID,after this,your CID should be unlocked,you can use RUU upgrad any rom you want.
I just do this yesterday,my CID isunlocked now.And RUU now works on my device.

Hello! I have CID unlocked. When I install Button ROM my IPL and SPL is the same (1.01). Every RUU works but It still frozen. 2 Days ago i found on other forum this advice:
INSTRUCTION :
1. miniSD - formated in PC - FAT format (now FAT32 !)
2. Wizard On and Bootloader (press reset and keep photo button let go reset) 3 color display. Put in card to Wizard.
3. Connect USB - PCC to PC
4. Launch MTTY 1.42 (my ver.) with USB connection
5. Write command - r2sd os end press enter
6. Program it will record OS on miniSD
7. After recording make Hard Reset or turn on Bootloader
8. On Display should be written - Format partition ?? (5 sec.) - to confirm press Voice dial button. If inscription it will disappear repeat point 7.
9. If Format partition successful wait OS is write. Done.
10. Draw out miniSD
11. Make Hard Reset
12. Enter in bootloader
13. FOR NON CID WIZARD - Flashing Wizard RUU (must be proper version) - ERROR 300 is bad RUU ERROR 266 turn off Wizard and turn on connect to PC
14. With CID (for example CID G4) seek forum for flashing Wizard with CID G4

I was carry out all command step by step, and after flashing proper version Orange ROM my Wizard woken up, but today my Wizard get stuck again and now this way don't work, and I have to find a new method to rescue my PDA.

My Wizard woke up! I find ERA PL ROM (RUU_Prodigy_3829_382130_027111_TMO_PL_PLK_Ship) which flash excellent and working, but now I have a new problem. I can install other ROM after that but none of them work, every stucked at Splashscreen like before.I need to find some WM6 ROM which will working? Someone have some suggestion?

I've upgrade my p 3300 a few weeks ago with Artemis_touch_1.0_WWE_rapid
IPL 1.14.0001
SPL 1.14.000
GSM 02.67.90
OS 3.7.0.0
After some days a freeze and soft reset, I made a hard reset, and re-use the upgrade soft ware.
Now its completly block on the boot page with HTC.
I use RUU(in( Artemis_touch_1.0_WWE_rapid) in the Bootloader but it run but after 3% : error 270
If a use a newer RUU ( Release_Aje_fr_1.90Full_YuanYuan) : error 260
please help me I completly lost !

I had almost the same problem. I intented to change my ROM with an WM6 but it faild and the PDA is some kind dead it freezes in the boot screen. is there some tool to change the rom to an original HTC rom or thre is no help. I hope somebady can help me. the version of the ROM that apears on the screen is:

u can install it and then change to one on english its what i will do today and i saw how to enter in 3 color bootloader mode ON/OFF boton + VOCAL + RESTART then holding the ON/OFF + VOCAL

to everybody who is stuck at HTC screen. The only,and i mean the ONLY way to fix this is to find the original rom for your provider !!! belive me,i`ve tried every possible other way.
SD Card Flashing wont work coz your devices are probably CID Locked,so it goes only to 3% flashing and restarts.Finally I found original o2 ROM (German) and it worked like a charm Even the original o2 (English) ROM did NOT work,it had to be the German one,coz probably the device came with German ROM originally !!!.
So my suggestion is,stop trying to flash it with different ROM`s and spend some time finding original ROM from your provider and it has to be the same language as your provider. even if it`s WM6 and your device was originally was WM5,as long as its from your provider and same language it should flash with no problem.I spent 2 weeks to find this out ))

I have the same problem and I've come to believe that this is the only solution. Just one thing: I didn't back up ROM before I tried to flash (talk about a noob mistake).
So, I ask, I plead, I beg... can anyone tell me where to get an original Orange France ROM for the Artemis (SPV M650)?

To my knowlegde you cant backup the rom from your device. whenever you change your rom, use the USPL tool. It is a golden rule until something better is made.
Here are some tips:
First make sure you have a original factory rom from your provider/brand/etc.
Check with a soft reset if code: SPL 1.11000 appears on the the boot screen. (then it is CID unlocked) Any other number and it is locked so you have to USPL first before you change to any custom rom.
If you flash a factory rom then the SPL resets to a non SPL 1.1100 number again. Use USPL to CID unlock again.
Also avoid Vista (especially 64bit) to use the USPL tool. Do it on a windows XP machine. Also there reports of glitches in the usb connection and active sync when doing upgrades or USPL. So keep you system as clean as possible. Dont use a USB hub and disconnect any other usb devices just to make sure.
Also remove your SD / SDHC card before doing a upgrade.
Sometimes the new rom misses some stuff when flashing. When this happens just flash the rom again. But first make sure if its still CID unlocked by soft reseting and check if SPL 1.1100 else use USPL first.
Even if you did all that, there still can be things that can go wrong. So if you absolutely confident to do a custom rom then do it. Otherwise use original upgrades from your provider

XDA ORBIT not able to flash ;(

belive me.. i tried nearly everything... and ive been through all of these posts... but i dint find anything helping me out with my problem...
ok, i try to explain in a short way!
I want to upgrade my "old" xda orbit (rom: 3.4.207.2GER, Rom Date: 18.04.07) wit a new rom ( something like "Artemis_Touch_4.02_Full_with_4_sided_cube")
BUT IT DOES NOT WORK!
Yesterday i updated my "new" DIAMOND to a new rom (Bepe 0.94)... so i basicaly know what to do..
But my ORBIT doesnt like to be upgraded..
USPL: doesnt work
RUU: doesnt work
Artemis_Touch_4.02_Full_with_4_sided_cube: doesnt work
downgrade to wm5: doesnt work (dindt find the correct one, i guess...)
now i am out of any more idears... ive got a lot of error messages... such as 260, 270 corrupt files, and many more...
wonder why my orbit is still running after all these unfinished and unsucessfull "updates" but still running with original german O2 WM6 system.
Does anybody can give me a hind what do do, how to update or where to look?

Using Artemis USPL: in the DOS window always the message "program cannot be found".. running aprox up to 50% and stops, than closing the DOS windo
the orbit stays, after a short action showing the Linux guy, with a "white/black" display..
than using the RUU: still connected via usb to my pc.. still black display..green LED on top of the device on..checking the rom.. showing mine correct (3.4.207.2) to 9.99
clicking "next": starting updating... pda display gets threecolored.. than gray.. showing 99% and than 100% after just a few seconds..
Prog stops.. telling me that the file is corrupt (Error 270).. my device reboots and starts with the O2rom
I downloaded the Artemis USPL several times from several locations.. always the same message...
Hard to explain.. but i hope you got my point?!
Btw.. thats just one of the ways i tried.. and just one of my errormessages..

Thanks "Zecanilis" for your answer.. but that was not my problem.... i took out the sd card as well as the sim card.. as i said.. i tried nearly everything!
But this morning ( i spent the whole night in front of my computer ) i foud the mistake.... an easy one!!
The "Artemis_USPL" file, you can find in all of these threads, is not working with my devices (pc and/or ppc)!?! i dont know why.. but it doesnt.
As i told you i always got messages in the DOS window "program cannot be found", "program cannot be used"... and the intallation skipped all files and stopped always around 50%.
but at 3 in the morning i found a USPL file in the net, with a different name, and it worked with the first try!!
The File is named "arte_uspl".
Just worked fine and smooth 10..20..30....... finisehd.
I am able now to install any rom I like!
Btw... i swithed to Mossis V2.2Ger - a very nice one i think.
But maybe i'll try some more...... because i am able to!

orbit do not boot, do not flash

i am searching for a solution of my problem:
i updated my orbit with the new mossis ROM and everything was well, and i used my orbit after this update!
Yesterday i Reset my device and after this the orbit dosen't start again!
After showing the bootsplash the device hangs
So i try to flash the device again:
first i try this:
- start the bootloader manually (voice button + reset)
==> shows: IPL 3.04.0001
SPL 1.11.0000
- starting the ROM Update Utillity
==> the screen of my orbit is grey and shows the update bar (0%)
==> RUU shows the following mesage: ERROR[300]: INVALID UPDATE TOOL
(i used the original german o2 update file)
second try:
update with the SD-card:
- SD-card (512MB) formated with FAT32
- copy the image file xxxx.nbh to the SD-card and rename it to ARTEIMG.nbh
- start the bootloader manually (voice button + reset)
==> screen: Checking SD contens
==> Update SD Image?
- bushing the volume down button
==> screen is red green blue and shows IPL 3.04.0001 and SPL 1.11.0000

Dear ohs,
There are many ppl, who have this Error 300 issue, but there is no help/solution available anywhere. Maybe the best option is to send your device to HTC, I guess they'll replace your motherboard, if in warranty you'll be lucky!!! unless they find out if you have messed up the device

same problem here,i tried eveything,my xda orbit wont flash it starts to instal the new rom but when it reaches 3% it resets himself ...any sugestion guys ? i tried upls,hard-spl etc arthemis rom everything . help please

Guys, I would suggest, if your device is under warranty, do send it to HTC Service center rather than breaking your head with it. Even I have been through such problems but ultimately I sent it to the service center and expecting my device in a couple of days with a motherboard changed.
If your warranty is not valid anymore then you are in trouble.

i tried alot for flashing the radio bymany verions but it stoped and when i tried t flashing it by many roms and also the original rom it stoped on the step gsm
and if i flahed it by any rom wihout the radio it completes but with no gsm
i hope to find a resolve to this prop plz to make my phone alife again

Well, since you already have hardspl 2.10-Olipro, please make sure you flash WM6 (green welcome screen) or above because WM5 (blue welcome screen) for sure will make the device show 'No GSM' if it writes an old radio version. Try original rom for your device here first : http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Available Original Shipped WM6 ROM Versions
It is recommended to use radio version (GSM) from your carrier. You can also try other radio (if you want to) from here : http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_ExtractedRadioRoms . Some say 1.47.30.10 is the best in terms of power consumption but maybe not suitable for others (depends on carrier/geography)
Note : Only original ROMs from HTC/carrier have radio. Cooked roms don't include radio.

ps : Only HardSPLed device will allow flashing extracted radio rom. Stock SPL will stop the device from flashing.

Try RUU first (flashing through pc using usb cable) but if you're having problem such as error 260 (no connection), you can use sdcard method since you already HardSPL your device
ps: sdcard method only works on FAT32 filesystem and non-SDHC microsd.

i tried during the pc and it gives me error 262
and i tied during the sd stoped on gsm step

Hi,
Extract RUU_inside.exe (use winrar or 7zip) RUU_inside.exe is in the original HTC ROM package ... get the RUU_signed.nbh and put into a new folder.
Then use RUUWrapper from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298737 and put it in the same folder with RUU_signed.nbh
Boot the device in bootloader mode. In RUUWrapper, tick 2.10 (new bootloader) and is it Hard-SPL. Follow the instruction.

I had same problem. I just remove battery and wait sometime. It should fix that. Well.. for me it fixed

Yes it's works, but is any chance to fixed it, upgrade new rom or something.

Prapably someone tryied upgrade bigstoragerom. If i could have backup rom, that's no problem, but i don't have. Other rom not start from sd card

I installed WWE 03, because it don't change radio. There was my problem. When I tryed to install roms before i change radio to 1.12 and wwe 03 work fine. So try like I do But you need install via usb cable and windows xp like i do (I don't have windows xp in my pc so I used Vmware workstation)

What's that rom WWE 03? I have 1.00.10 radio, rom 1.13.00 WWE, so? Could you send me working rom, who can flash my pda?

WWE 03 is cotulla rom. It had windows mobile 6.1. And I tryed to install this one, but lot time had errors. Firstly, I try to install this rom and I finaly upgraded radio with this rom 1.12, but OS installation stuck on 0%, so I cancel it. Noww I tried install this rom and everything working. First link should work. It work for me. To succesfuly check your devise you should connect pc and PDA via active syns with windows XP. Then it will check your device and upgrade should work for me it worked

I have connected pda (windows xp) activesyns. Always, every rom, whitch i want to upgrade: update from: (empty) to: (empty). Only if i turn ON pda, then upgrade from: 1.0.10 to 1.12, click NEXT and pda goes to bootloader. "checking devace data" and nothing happened. I thing the last chance is upgrade rom from sd card in bootloader mode, but it must be backup rom from own pda This is the end :/ i may throw my megican to trash. Thanks for answers.

You should turn on PDA then connect to pc after that will be upgrade from to filled. When you click next automaticly go to bootloader and install new rom
