Hello all. I'm a newbie on this forum (found it very very useful so far!! kudos to you all!!) and after solving a lot of issue with your suggestion, i've only one left:
my notebook doesn't recognize properly my tytn (Orange SPV M3100) when using it as usb modem: instead of recognize it as HTC USB MODEM, it displays "SPVE200" and the max connection speed (even on HSPDA coverage) is 324kbs. I've tried to remove it and use the drivers on the cd in the box, but didn't manage to solve the prob. Does anybody has the same problem? and know how to solve it?
thnx

i forgot what modem link does. but i think internet sharing does the same thing.
I'm trying to set up my Compact II as a modem for my Asus Eee (running XP) but having some difficulty. I have Activesync 4.5 installed, setup with the Compact II as my 2nd machine but not syncing with Outlook. When I use the Modem Link on the Compact II and Active it I then plug in and Windows tries to find a driver. I then insert my T-Mobile MDA Compact II CD-Rom (shared over the network) but it doesn't find a driver for it
I've successfully set this up on my Inspiron in the recent past so I know it should work, but I can't think what's causing the problem on my Eee. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Tony
Fixed my own problem! For anyone struggling to get their Compact II Modem Link function working in the future you have to force the Have Disk button during the installation wizard. Windows doesn't detect the folder with the modem driver in on the CD-Rom. The driver isn't signed so you'll have to accept the security warning. Works a treat with dial up GPRS settings over the USB cable
Hi! I'm also have the same situation. GPRS settings and ets in MDA - OK, BT connection to comp - OK, but error in modem link.
Could smb throw correct driver? Thanks!

Do you have your original CD-Rom? It should be on there but you'll need to browse to it manually.
Which model MDA do you have?
I'm sorry - have no time to visit! I haven't original CD-ROM - this is one and the main problem. I have MDA Compact II T-Mobile, with original ROM soft (11/14/05), no upgrades, no reflash. If smb have bloody driver - throw me pls!

You may have to adjust your connection settings in Settings\Connections\Connections\Advanced.
Set both connections to connect to internet.

Hi I have the same card as you. It works fine on hima.
1. You need to install drivers and app for it on hima (without card inserted)
2. Soft reset your hima.
3. Power on your hima and insert the card (after boot) it should pop up automaticli on your status bar that is searching for Wifi. If it does`t show go to the app that you installed and configure (mine work on defaults and did`t need to configure anything)
I tested the card on luby`s WM 6.5 rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=741800
And uploaded original drivers, app and manual that is coming on cd with card.
