No phonecall when Bluetooth + network - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

I found out some strange bug:
When my TYTN is connected to the network (UMTS) and bluetooth is switched on too I can not make telephone calls. TYTN starts dialing but disconnects after 5 sec. (No errormessage, but plays a sound 3 times (something like: ding…ding…ding).
Incoming calls do not get trough too (Only busy tone).
When I switch off Bluetooth or network connection everything works fine again.
I searched this forum up and down, but found no answer.
Am I the only one or did somebody notice this bug too?

i found that i cannot use my phone at all if i restart my phone with BT and wifi on somtimes, removing the bt and wifi seems to fix it for me. strange eh?
i often get phone failed.

Its annoying. I am always afraid that I forget to switch off the Networkconnection after I have checked emails or was surfing in the internet.
Its the basic purpos of a phone to be reachable.
Am I the only one with this problem? Is something wrong with my phone?

Sorry to poll this.
But nobody else has noticed this?

Hey folks,
Am I the only one with this bug ?
Really need help for this problem

I forgot to post that my problem has gone.
It definitly was a network problem caused by my networkprovider "One Austria" (now Orange).
After a long call with the technical support they changed some of their serversettings
and wow this problem is gone.
Never happened again (since 6 month)
Hope this helps someone

Xda II, Phone Edition or Moble Network Problem ??

I've had this problem for some time now and I have no words to describe this symptom ... I know I'm not alone as I know a few other people have the same problem:
The signal bar on Xda II shows ok, green LED still flashes like normal, even my Phone Dashboard showed that I'm connected to my mobile operator with signal strength >90% ... Nothing is suspicious until you start making calls, everything stays at "Dialing ..." and there will be no dialing tone !!! Make another call, same ...
Then you'll use the landline to call yourself on the mobile, it goes to the voice message ... All those time, you were actually not connected to the mobile network! When you realise this, the only remedy is to turn on and off Wireless / Flight Mode.
Now, have you had similar experience ?
I think, somehow the mobile network lost you, and Xda II didn't even notice it therefore did not bother to reconnect as it thought it was still connected. Is this it ? Or anyone has any other theory or solution to this irritating problem ~ which I genuinely have no idea who to blame ?
i think i know what the problem is
 try to download and install this software,
http://www.gb-soft.cz/xdaii/product_gprs_tweak_en.htm
and in "gprs settings", disable "gprs always online", and set it to "search gprs on start gprs connection".
that way, you will be connected to your operator as simple gsm phone, not a gprs one.
the mobility managment in this status (imsi attached, instead of combined attached) is more simple to the network, and you won't lose service.
Hope it will solve your problem,
please update...
Tomer
thanks i have downloaded it and installed, and set the "GPRS always on" to false, but the other one was default ticked ("Search GPRS on start GPRS conn").
i will start my observation today and see if the problem reproduce itself.
Chris
did this solve it for you?
Coming into the 8th day with this Tweak installed, with GPRS set to search on GPRS start (not radio start). So far, the network problem has not occured. I would like to give it another 2 to 3 weeks before announcing the problem solved.
However, just one little note, after installing the Tweak ... a day or two I noticed that the BT Icon no longer shows on the main screen task bar even after numerous soft reset. Not sure what causes it.

GPRS issue

Let me explaing what I am expiriencing.
Every time that I run Explorer, Messaging my GPRS connection automaticaly connects to internet.fido.ca. Now, I remember that on my XDA2 when I was making a call GPRS was suspended and as soon as phone call is finished - resumed. JAM just dropes connection after phone call, and it's necessary to establish it manually again or run Explorer or messaging. Anyone with similar issues? I've tried clead shipped ROM and 1.06 - same result
i have a smilar problem.... my phone can't hold the gprs connection for long say every 2-5 minuts the signal bar will go dots ..... searching for network.. i thought it could be from my provider so i switched to another one but still the same problem.... i tried my sim with a nokia phone and works without any problems!!!!
if someone could help it would be great

I think my problem is a bit different. My GSM signal is strong, 5 bars, but GPRS just refuses to resume after call is placed
Just noticed that in different location this feature works fine. I guess, GPRS signal is not very strong in my area

Qtek around speakers

Hello,
I tried searching the forum and couldn't get a result for my problem, that's why I'm posting here.
My Qtek causes the speakers PC speakers in the office and at home to produce that typical sound distortion. I don't know the correct term in english, but you know what I'm talking about - when the mobile phone rings and there are speakers turned on around it the speakers produce that annoying sound.
Well, mine doesn't do it only when it's ringing. It does it all the time (every 10-15 seconds). As you might guess this is really annoying to me and my colleagues at work. I tested it and it's difinately the phone causing it, since I have all other wireless options turned off. I've never experienced this issue with my previous phones and noone at the office has the same problem. I'm really baffled. I guess it does that every time it pings the mobile network, but since I'm not a techie I don't really know how to fix this.
Has anyone experienced that with the Qtek, or any other phone for that matter? How do I fix it? Right now I have to turn off my phone while at work...
Regards,
are you connected to gprs by any chance? even if you are it shouldn't make thAt sound unless theres data transfer. if your not connected to gprs, not recieving/making a call or message then i'd say your phones refresh rate of the cell signal is too fast. how to change that, i don't know but could have to do with your sim card.
also u could simply turn your speakers off.
i just thought of this but do you have "Broadcast Channels" on?
Not just me then i wondered what was going on!!
i drive a wagon with cb radio installed and what seems to be every minute or so i get the same noise.it gets worse when i connect to gprs so bad i have to turn cb off.
never had this problem with c500.
any ideas anyone?

GPRS is off. "Broadcast Channels" is disabled. Unfortunately turning off the speakers is not an options since they're essential to my work.
Hmm, do you think it could be the SIM card and a simple change of mobile service provider might fix that?
Regards,
again, i'm not a pro on this topic, but if you could get a hold of another sim card from a friend and plug it into your device and see if it stops doing that then your sim card is the problem. so try a couple cards out, one from your provider and one from another provider and see what happens.
My Qtek 9100 does this sound every 10 minutes or so. But I've experiensed that the sound disappears when I move the phone into a better location. I've found a couple of places in my room where this sound doesn't appear. Best way to find such place is to make a phone cal and then while the phone is calling just move it around and see where that annoying sound disappears.
Hope this helps you too. I can imagine that sound driving you mad, as it can be heard so often... For me 4-5 times in an hour was too much.

T-Mobile UK - GPRS/3G session reconnecting problems

last few days i've been experiencing very strange problem using w'n'w service on T-Mobile UK. let's say i'm connected, i can browse web, check mail, etc. when i close (or i loose, i.e. in the Tube) GPRS/3G session and then try to reconnect, my Vario II is popping out error balloon 'The answering modem has disconnected. ...' straight away *every time*. only thing which solves the matter is switching off and back on again Phone module (just like switching off/on mobile phone). same thing happens when i connect both in 'Auto' and 'GSM-only' modes.
i surely didn't change anything with connection settings lately. it also used to work without any problems a week ago or so, and i thought it's network-related problem. i wrote a complain to customer service, but lady called me back and suggested doing a hard-reset, which obviously i'd like to avoid. :/
do anyone here also experiencing that problem on T-Mobile UK network (particularly in London)?
I had exactly the same problem with my mda vario I. I had to go in and out of flight mode which then allowed me to reconnect.
Recently I've had to do a hard reset and now it works perfectly.
There was a post which said something about deleting the settings in network management my memory is a little hazy though. A search on this site should bring it up
I'm currently experiencing the same thing on my Vodafone PDA 1605 with an Orange SIM. I get the exact same error message ballon every time I disconnect from GPRS. It's happened to me ever since I've had the unit, which is only about a month now. I've tried to find a fix for it on here but have come up empty.
Let me know if you find anything else out!
problem's solved! the reason was a defective BatteryStatus today plug-in - i'm using beta version of it, which had some bug preventing data sessions from reconnecting. i have now installed newest version, which has that bug fixed and my connection are working fine now!
thx for all for suggestions.

Connection problem

I have a problem with my HD2.
When trying to use internet, connection is very unstable. Lets say in every 10 minutes, 6 is working great and another 4 there is no internet whatsoever.
Also I noticed that calls are interrupted, sometimes during a call it disconects me few times and also sometimes I need to try to make a call few times as it looks like there was no signal(?).
My old tytnII never had such a problems at the same place (same sim, same network - t-mobile.uk).
Any help would be very appreciated.
ps1. Im using the new 1.61 (Turkish) rom at the moment and the problem still exists.
ps2. Its a bit better when I switch off HSDPA connection.
