Subscription music services on 8525? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Ok, so I have searched, and still can't find the answer. So here goes my first thread. I would like to be able to use either Microsoft Urge or the Microsoft Zune music subscription service with my 8525. Is there any way to make this work. Seems like a microsoft mobile device would be able to do this, but maybe I'm wrong. Thanks for any input.

I'd like to lay down a challenge...

Hey all,
We're currently evaluating WinMo devices to replace blackberries in our company... thus far the results have been a mixed bag to say the least.
I look after an exchange 2003 environment (SP2) so we're push-email ready, however there's one big thing holding us up - IM.
On the blackberries, we use something called Blackberry Messenger which is capable of both online and offline messages, and pretty infallible. It runs in the background and whenever a user is online handles the sign-on and message delivery, likewise if a user is offline the network queues the message until they're back online.
I can't find anything like this for windows mobile, can anyone suggest soemthing I'm missing? until I have this we're stuck with blackberry...
TIA
German T-Mobile is offering a BlackBerry Software Addon for the MDA Vario - I started a thread a while back right here in the forum.
Since I have no use for Blackberry, etc. I have not installed/used it. But maybe its what you are looking for.
The only way to do (online) IM now on WM5 devices is via PocketMSN I think.
Dont know any alternatives (especially that can handle offline IM).
I'm new here, but....
I know on the PC there is a program that handles offline messaging and it is available on the PocketPC now too. It's called ICQ. You can send a message offline and the person will receive it when they logon.

Lemme know if that's what you're looking for.
you can use Agile Messenger.. Lets you use AIM/ICQ/Yahoo/MSN IM accounts. There's a thread someone in here that has the info on it.. just search the forums for Agile Messenger.
You might want to contact Jabber and work out somemthing with them, the idea's mentioned above are good but I know you need something internal (not somthing that has potential use for (ab)use/danger)

Any day now, M$ is gonna release mobile office connect. If you use office connect already this will move the IM client out to WM5.
You can try Saki,
It has the features you mentioned as well as integrated email, RSS feeds, and others. I know a company that chose to use this software and wizards instead of Blackberries.

Let's not forget Microsoft's Live Communication Server (LCS) 2005 with the office communicator SIP client.

WM10 can't sync 25+ tracks

Well, subject says it all really. I seem to remember reading somewhere this is a known bug, but can't remember where or the fix.
Would just copy them over, but as they're licenced WMAs, I need to sync them to get the licence info.
I think.
Can someone help?
Thanks!
this is taken from the clubimate site. Under support known issues.. here it is:
Under Investigation
• Customers may find that they are only able to synchronize up to 25 songs with DRM protection at any one ActiveSync session. To overcome this, customers should disconnect and reconnect the device to PC after each batch of 25 songs in an album or playlist. have been synchronized.
Wow, what a complex solution.
Cool! That seems to work. Still a bit irratic though. Interestingly, the microsoft website says that the fix has been sent to the 'integrators' but isn't available for download, so I guess it'll be out in a update one day from O2.
So you guys helped more than microsoft! Cool! Cheers Guys!

8525/Mac OSX help

ok, I'm a newbie with hella questions that were probably answered in the faqs, but I didn't see anything related to mac. I got missing sync, but I was wondering if there was a different way of installing cab files. I keep needing to mount it then load the cabs in. also is there a way to get the active sync thing to go away? (that message telling you to install the software on a pc). and windows mobile 6, how do I upgrade and how will that affect missing sync (I don't see anything on the website about compatibility).
then I got a few simple application questions;
I was looking for aim, whats the best application? I was hearing agile, but that it has a yearly subscription....also do these have the same kind of features as aim (well ichat), or is it just messages. (like I doubt there's file sharing, but what about sending and receiving hyperlinks)
photosharing: I saw something that said it allowed you to upload photos to places like photobucket, where can I find something like that?
and finally web browsing: any tabbed browsers or a way to have 2 windows open? or another browser in addition to explorer?

I have had an ameo for one week now, but can't seem to do some of thing i need it to.
I really want to subribe to vodcasts and have them download automagicly to my phone. somthing like itunes.
Also pocket msn is not on the ameo alough it was on the mda. what has happen? where can get it for free?
msn messenger on your ameo, heres how...
I managed to get msn messenger installed albeit an older version, works fine. I found it on this website http://www.coolsmartphone.com/forum/dload.php?action=viewall&
I did a search on the left hand site, it uses a google site search for msn and it was the 4th in the list.
Follow both the steps in order to set it up. Its not as good as the Live Messenger but im not sure when this will be released and as far as im aware its in Beta stage at the moment.
Hope this helps

please help :( no sync software

Good Afternoon
I am a noob and want to learn so I am coming here to ask questions.
I just got a Sprint Palm Treo Pro off ebay and I am trying to sync it to my vista laptop.
Here is the problem
When I go to download the sync software, it says there is a problem and cannot sync it. I am trying my best to search everything here but I am lost.
I also would like some ideas on how to get good weather and gps apps. I teach Health and PE and I am outside often. Would like to know some in-depth weather, plus being a coach I need something that I can re-do schedules etc..(athletic director as well). I have a feeling I can use outlook if I can sync up to it.
Any help would be awesome. I am really lost with this, but excited at the same time.
Welcome!!
... and congrats on your Treo Pro purchase. It's a great little phone
For a Windows Mobile Device to Synchronize with Windows Vista and above, you need something called "Windows Mobile Device Center" (available here.. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/downloads/microsoft/device-center-download.mspx)
Install this, and then try connecting your device. If it fails, one of the likely reasons is your firewall on your computer. Try turning the firewall off / configuring it and try re-syncing.
If that fails, try doing a hard reset of the device and then re-sync.
Let us know if you still have difficulties!
A good GPS app for the Treo Pro is TomTom Navigator..
The good thing with Windows Mobile 6 is that you can establish over the air synchronization with your Google Calendar. This might be something that you'd want to consider for your teaching planning ... as google is free!

And there's also Microsoft My Phone that helps with backing up (and a few tricks too) your phone automatically.
If you have a good data plan, that is.
