From the MDA Pro Extended Rom that I uploaded, you can take the cab Signed_Disable_GPRS_Autoattach.sa.CAB and run that. It automatically switches off GPRS after usage.

Hi,
is there an option to keep wlan alive while the device switches to sleep mode? Because I want to use Agile Mobile Messenger but when the device goes to sleep mode, the messenger looses its connection and nobody can write me. It is the same with gprs I think.
Thanks for help!
Cheers,
Marcus
You could try using a program like ScreenToggle. It turns off the screen and lets the phone work in the background. I use it when listening to music to save some battery. Works great and it's free! I have it assigned to a hardware button which makes it easy to access!

hi
I know this is an old problem, but its the most annoying for me.
I want bluetooth to be on all the time even when the device is in standby mode.
Please help me solve this GIGA problem, it made me crazy
Thx
any help there?
Bluetooth stays on in standby for me, using WM6 and back on the old T-mobile UK ROM it was the same. Only WiFi turns itself of during standby.
For me, when someone tries to send me via BT while the phone in standby mode, he simply can't connect to my device.
The device must be turned on before BT connectivity.
Any help guys?? its really urgent
Hi there
I already asked at the trinity forum regarding the behavior of Fring in standby mode. As I understand Fring is able to receive incoming messages and calls even when a device in the standby mode, it does work in Symbian at least.
I am not sure it should work in WM platform, but my colleagues are able to use Fring successfuly with WM even in standby mode.
So could someone kindly confirm that GPRS connection is able to be kept alive for hours even when a device in standby mode?
Thanks in advance,
Alexey
Not specifically Fring, but I have used software on my Trinity at one point to collect emails and it worked over GPRS even when the phone was in standby.
In your case most likely the software was launched by schedule (like reminders by clock.exe) with establishing a new GPRS connection every time.
I am not sure that GPRS connection was really being kept active all time.
But anyway thank you, deedee, for your feedback.
Actually I have found the answer: Keep Wifi (BT, GPRS and ActiveSync) connected in standby
there are some special magical registry tweaks.
Now Fring works almost fine and I receive chats/calls even being in standby mode for hours, but I really wonder if it is the only way to make Fring worked fine in standby mode!
