TT5 Bluetooth and floight mode problem

Before installing TT5, my bluetooth worked fine, even in flight mode. After installing TT5, bluetooth does not work at all. Everytime I try to activate it, it comes with the warning: Please turn off flight mode first. My GSM part is on, so flight mode is off, but I still get the message. soft reset and re-installing TT5 did not work, neither did removing TT5 Bluetooth app.
I use TT5 as a road map, without bluetooth GPS, but no matter what I try, it keeps popping up a message every 10 secs asking me to turn flight mode off. I don't need the bluetooth to be on when using TT5, even more, I like it to stay off for power reasons.
Also after un-installing TT5, my bluetooth still does not work! Can anyone out there help me?
I get the same problem also.My bluetooth does work however as i use a bluetooth gps.I find that when your in TT5 and the message pops up,just quickly turn flight mode on then off and then you can carry on using it fine after that with no interuptions
I had the same thing. It turned out to be a 'Flightmode' program I downloaded using a link from this site. For some reason it didn't always turn BT completely back on.
Instead I found a program called RadioOff, also on this forum, and it works perfectly. No TT5 problems since this switch.
My bluetooth issues are partly resolved. by turning flight mode on, then resetting and then turning it off again bluetooth works again. Perhaps my flight mode switcher, a different one from yours, is making trouble. Can you send me the radiooff that you mentioned, since I cannot find it on the forum. my email is jdfkok at hotmail. Thanks!
I'll upload it here, so everyone has a chance to pick up this nice proggy
Don't know who made it, but it's a job well done.
thanks man! I will report back to you if it solved my problems
Hi, just tested it and I think it is the same one I already use! Byte count is exactly the same, just the name and icon are different. But I noticed another thing...When I switch on flight mode with both apps, my bluetooth stays on and can be switched on and off. When I switch flight mode on using the standard windows application in the phone bubble, bluetooth goes off as well and cannot be switched on again! Looks like the app you posted makes it possible to use bluetooth while the gsm is off, while the normal way to enter flight mode also shuts down the bluetooth radio. interesting find! Now all the problems I had can beresolved by using the right way to switch flight mode on and off. Thanks for your help!
Happy to help Although I find it very weird that 'Radio Off' means that BT is still running! But maybe it's made for a non-BT device?
Yes, strange isn't it? But might be helpful in some circumstances to have it work like this. I know I won't touch my bluetooth settings anymore, now I have this sorted out, don't want to spend another 2 hours figuring out how to switch it the way I want
Have teh same problem with QTek s100, can't turn on bluetooth (get "turn on flight mode first"). Sorry, where did you get RadioOff.exe program? Seek all the site and forum and didn't see where can I download it.

Sleep Mode and WLan Connection

Hi,
is there an option to keep wlan alive while the device switches to sleep mode? Because I want to use Agile Mobile Messenger but when the device goes to sleep mode, the messenger looses its connection and nobody can write me. It is the same with gprs I think.
Thanks for help!
Cheers,
Marcus
You could try using a program like ScreenToggle. It turns off the screen and lets the phone work in the background. I use it when listening to music to save some battery. Works great and it's free! I have it assigned to a hardware button which makes it easy to access!

wake up Htc Wizard and turn on wi-fi?

Hi,
Is there any way to have the wizard wake up from stand by automatically and turn on its wi-fi? As i would like it to download podcasts during the night automatically, so i can listen to them on the way to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ButtonMax
Thanks alot! But does any one know anything that will work with windows mobile 5?I have heard from the windows mobile fix site that the Buttonmax software doesnt work well with windows mobile 5 and forces you to hard reset. Hopefully they will update the software to support wm5. Any other ideas in the meantime?
What ROM do you have? As for my T-Mobile (USA) MDA 2.26 official ROM if i have WiFi on when i go into standby it turns it right back on when i come out...
Or are you looking for something different?
I use the I-mate K-jam official rom, with aku2.0. Im not having a problem with the wi-fi, it turns on normaly when it comes out of standby, what i want to do it for a program or something to wake up the pocket pc, turn on wi-fi, and then download selected podcasts during the night. I definately think its something to look into, as it could open up alot of possiblities, such as syncing with exchange servers etc during the night with no user interaction.
ok, this may be an idea, but does any one know how to create a macro alarm for
spb time? is that even possible? so like after the alarm goes off, wi-fi turns on, and pocketmusic downloads the podcast... or what ever other program you can recomend for podcasts.
Skschema
Skschema can do this too, and is a reasonably powerful programming language if there other things you want to do.
Hey thanaks alot! That SKScheMa is exactly what im after!! Im not experienced in programing, but i will manage!

Nimbuzz or Fring Possible?

Hi,
I need to install either Fring or Nimbuzz on my HTC Touch Pro 2 so that I can receive VOIP calls. I installed fring, however it is unable to connect to WLAN. I turned off all the security on my router and it still couldn't connect, so I'm guessing that fring does not yet support this phone.
The touch pro 2 was not found in the list of Nimbuzz's supported phones either. Has anyone managed to get this phone to work with either Fring or Nimbuzz? If not does anyone know of a suitable alternative?
Nimbuzz
Hi Darrenultra.
I have Nimbuzz working fine. Haven't had a chance to test VoIP calls though.
I have Fring working and VoIP configured too on 3G as well as WiFi. No probs.
Fring is what I would really like to get working ....glad to see that it is possible.
Did you download Fring directly to your phone by visiting www.fring.com/cab? Or did you do it some other way? I'm wondering if I maybe there are more than one Windows Mobile versions.
Fring seemed to install fine for me. However it is unable to find either my Wifi connection, or that of my neighbours. Instead when I try and start Fring I get a screen which says:
'Please Select Connection
Search for WLAN...'
However no WLAN is ever found. Any suggestions as to where I'm going wrong will be most welcome.
...there is one other thing that I forgot to mention.
I'm a bit worried that even when I do get fring working it is going to encounter some problems. The Touch Pro 2 tends to go into standby mode after sitting around for a minute or so. Will it still be possible for me to receive incoming calls on fring when it is in standby?
Any ideas?
I guess you must have tried the standard route of un-installing Fring and then soft reset and then re-installing Fring?
I would say turn your wifi on, launch Pocket IE. Go to fring.com and download the cab file directly. Install it. It will (should) sense the WiFi connection and take you further.
Hope this helps.

I've got the same problem... I guess just have to wait for updated version of fring before wifi issue can be solved.
I removed Nimbuzz because I found it chewed through my battery - it was insane. I could get through 1.5 days on a charge, but with Nimbuzz, I'd be looking for a powerpoint by midday on day 1. Love the app but not at that cost!
go to nimbuzz web site.choose your phone az touch pro..it work fine on pro2.no screen size problem..bud i didn't use VOIP calls yet.
I installed fring v3.35.3.248, works well... give it a try... http://www.fring.com/versions/#Windows
