As Mort's website seem to be down and I can't find an email address for him, please help. I have installed MortPlayer and got it working nicely with an iTech R35 AVRCP bluetooth clip. I can listen to music and use all the controls on the clip happily. However, when a call comes in, i try to take the call on the clip by pressing the 'action' button, but the call gets routed to the handset earpiece and the phone then crashes. I can continue the call, but I have to soft-reset the phone afterwards, evey time. I have tested this in Windows Media Player 10, and it works as expected (music stops, call is taken on the headset, music resumes upon hanging up). Any help would be greately appreciated. Thanks!
Sadly, I confirm that happens with my rig
I have a TyTN with the 1.35 released HTC ROMs and MortPlayer version 3.31R6 (b51) and Jabra BT620 stereo headset. Like you report, it doesn't happen with Windows Media player. And it doesn't happen if you have bluetooth off.

I have skype installed on my qtek 9000, and wanted to be able to use it from my bluetooth headset (Jabra 250). I started skype from the qtek screen, and of course could not get the bluetooth audio to stay on for more than a few seconds. The cyberon voice dialer keeps starting up, and as soon as it is through waiting for sound, it shuts down and so does the bluetooth headset audio. I happened to create a voice tag to start skype, and made a 100% repeatable discovery. If I start skype from the headset, I have continuous audio. Even if I shut skype down in memory, running programs, the audio continues in the jabra. If I start skype from the qtek screen, this does not happen. Once I have the continuous audio connection, a simple press of the headset button reverts all to normal. Hopefully there will be some information here to allow a hack of the audio gateway problem.
i just tried to reproduce this on my mda pro with jabra 800...it worked..actually it is my feeling it worked ecactly every other time.but this is ok too, if one knows it you can tell by the noise in the headset if its connected or not..amazing...what a useful information...great! thanks for posting...interesting no one else jumped on it yet...the question now is how to get an incoming call into the headset...
So you're saying you can listen to audio over the headset or something?
V
vj: thats exctly right...isn't that amazing? the moment you get the headset connected through bringing up skype with the voice tag, the headset stays connected until you disconnect it again by pressing the appropriate button on the headset..even if then you switch apps it stays on..you hear every system sound etc in the headset.obviously the sound is a noisy phone headset sound and sure has nothing to do with a2dp..but you hear...actually i just tried to do the trick with assigning a voice tag to media player...didn't work...but skype can initiate it and keeps it up...cool...
AndyME: give me a few mins and I'll show you a better trick... coming soon
V
you know what: i expected something like this from you when i saw that apparently you got nterested...lol...the good thing about this trick is: you do not have to restart the device to get into this mode..although i stll have not figured 100% out how to make it happen for sure...it kind of works sometimes and sometimes not...now i am curious to see what you are coming up with....lol...
Ok Andy, finally finished the webpage.
Please check it out here:

You basically want to try the -agon option. It should, I hope, transfer audio straight over to your headset. I hope.

Hello all
I have bought a sony ericsson hbh ds970 headset and succefully paired it with my Wizard. Everything just peachy so far, sound is great and it plays the sound from MortPlayer and TCMP without problems. But. (there is always a but...)
When I recivie a call when listning to music the phone automatically paused the music and I can take the call with the sound in my headset. Great. But when i´m finished with the call and want to continue listning to music I get silence.
The headset is still paired, but I dont hear anything. I´ve tried to close and restart mortplayer, but that doesnt help. Also tried the BTaudioToggle app which toggles BT on and off but still nothing. The only solution is to softreset. And thats not an option i the long run...
Another thing I dont see any songs or information on the bluethooth headset display, but maybee thats asking to much. Or? Same with callers, I see the number but not the name of the caller.
Thanks and keep them answers flowing

Which BT hack are you using?
I think it's either the BT hack or the headset. With the BT hack linked from my related article ( http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=1307&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 ) the WMP (haven't tested with other players in this respect) music playing resumes at once and automatically with my 590A on my Wizard.
Thanks for your reply.
Downloaded the a2dp_hack.cab file and the WizardA2dphackimport.reg. Dont know how to run the .reg file in the Wizard so I enterd the values manually. I was running some old a2dp file I found somewhere.
Did a test with mortplayer, which I use, fired up played some music thru the BT headset, pressed call button and started a call. The music stoped and I heard the phone. Hung up and returned to MortPlayer, but there was no music. Could see that the song continued to play but there was no sound. I tried to pause and play agian, but that didnt work. Exited Mortplayer and started it again. That worked, sound in BT stereo headset again.

BTW can I get the phone to ring althou I have the headset connected? now it only rings in the headset.
thanks

Hi all,
I have this and can confirm call qulaity is good but there are a couple of niggles:
- cannot browse phonebook from it.
- voice-dial button works intermittently (not sure why)
- music plays well from WMP but video will not
Anyone know of any fixes to these issues???
Rich
I have just found that the stereo audio allows skype calls to be taken on the headset - nice!
Windows BLuetood stakc is rubbish still
I have a DS980 on a hermes and its not good there either.
I tried using the jetware OBEX push application from http://www.jetwaremobile.com/ but I couldn't get it working. You have a go though... its free to trial and there is voicecommand support too.
Microsoft need to sort out their bluetooth stack though. I tried a Nokia with this product and I tried a Sony Ericsson phone and that was good too.... Real shame it takes some enterprising people to sort out what I feel is a bad piece of product. Lets hope we can get a new Stack on the Kaiser that actually works this time and does everything a Bluetooth stack should do e.g: Not cut out when playing audio, allowing names rather than numbers (SAP actually working), track/artist name) proper call handing etc.
I installed jetware, configured it(it said it isn't compatable, etc), soft reseted the device, uninstalled jetware, soft reseted the device again and i got caller id, call list working. Phonebook(and caller id as names) still not work with now playing informations.
Not sure if this will ever work. Sony only
I believe that the BT stack of Sony/Symbian phones is different than the Microsoft BT stack. I don't believe that we'll have all the information (Artist Song, etc) transfered. Not sure if it's a special A2DP, bluetooth profile.
"Use it to view the title of the song playing on your phone, the battery status of your headset or the details of the caller trying to reach you." --Sony Web
The packet structure is the same. The diffrence is in the players, WMP has no built in bluetooth package structure while the players on newer SE phones automatically send the song informations. The phonebook should work, but i don't know why it doesn't. It accesses my pda and tires to grab the informations.
Hmm . Then maybe PocketPlayer ? Bluetooth Profiles
Hmm. So the player needs to send the Song Info over A2DP or AVR
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A2DP
PocketPlayer is good with A2DP. Maybe their or HTC's Audio Manager...
http://www.conduits.com/products/player/
"Bluetooth Remote control and headphones support"
The track informations are transfered via AVRCProfile. I use CorePlayer and it's volume can not be controlled on the unit. It has a volume setting unrelated to PPC. That's really strange because I turn on blank screen, so the screen doesn't wake up on play, pause, stop, etc but it does on volume change. When I try to assign the volume +- keys using the CP's built in key binder it doesn't detect it. Volume, phonebook and track infos, I want 'em!

Hey,
When i am listening to music on my headset and receive a call.... as soon as the call ends the music starts playing from the phone not headset??? Any one having this issue or know how to resolve it?
Thanks
I’m running the official HTC (Dutch) Windows Mobile 6 version on the HTC X7500.
I’m using a Motorola HT820 Stereo Bluetooth headset to listen to music by A2DP.
I’m using a Jabra BT5010 Bluetooth headset for voice calls.
Voicecalls with the BT5010 are no problem at all. Listening to music with the Motorola headset is no problem too, when the Jabra IS NOT connected (turned off) at the same time.
The Motorola stereo headset and the Jabra BT5010 can both be connected at the same time, they are even working (I can call with the Jabra and listen to music with the Motorola) but now and then the stereo music is lagging.
When it starts lagging in stereo audio playback it doesn’t seem to stop anymore. Sometimes the music continues the normal way, and sometimes the lags will come up again a few seconds later.
There are no more lags when I then shut down the Jabra headset.
Is there a way to solve this? It looks like some sort of “Bluetooth bandwith” issue since it only happens when both headsets are connected.
Please note that even though the Motorola HT820 can make voice calls too, I only checked the “Wireless Stereo” service to be used, and “Wireless headset” is only selected for the Jabra.
Adding/editing registry entries like BitPool, UseJointStereo, MaxBitPool, SampleRate and all WILL NOT resolve this problem, I’ve already tried that.
Thanks guys!!
Problem #1)
I'm using a Jabra BT3030 stereo headset with my Blackstone.
I don't want to use it as handsfree, so I've only ticked "stereo" under the BT device settings. Problem is that it connects both stereo and handsfree.
If i manually tick "handsfree", save, then disable it and save again, it connects only stereo, no handsfree.
...but after powering down my Jabra headset and powering up, the problem is back.
It works as expected on my Polaris!!
Problem #2)
I like to listen to audio books, therefore I use Coreplayer, since it can resume where I left off.
Problem is that the default music player grabs all bluetooth play/stop/rew/fwd commands, so I end up with the audio book in Coreplayer AND music from the default player SIMULTANEOUSLY. Very annoying.
Also works as expected on my Polaris. (First audio application started obeys the BT commands)
Any ideas? Is it possible to disable the default music player?
For audiobooks I'm using Pocketplayer alt. Mortplayer. I have problems using BT3030.
I have to say, unfortunately I cannot help, but I do find the bluetooth in WM6 to be pretty feeble [and I cannot alter the setup definitions from what it 'wants' to pickup by default either].
My biggest problem is with the auto pickup [after 'X' rings] - it doesnt work on 2 of my devices (works ok in the car though) - works perfectly on my old motorola/sony ericsson/nokia etc etc .....
Bloody annoying
