While on a call today, the person on the other end stopped being able to hear me. I have tried a soft reset and hard reset and still no one can hear me. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have an unlocked version and do not even know how to get support / repair. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
TIA

Can someone please help. I did a very noob mistake. I was trying to get the GPS to work for TT and was playing around with the registry, I must have changed the registry incorreclty as the speaker for the phone does not work anymore. I can hear the other person but they can't hear me. Everything else seems to work fine.
TIA
Doesnt seem like a registry error to me. Try calling with the head-set and see if the other person can hear you.
And the worst of all, try a hard-reset probably after backing up all your data.

Carty..
Thanks for the quick reply, I can hear the other person but the other person can't hear me. I have done a hard reset already but it didn't help.
Hi,
It happend several times now, when I call, the other side doesnt hear me. I am pretty sure I didn't touch the mute button.
I did installed resco audio recorder and s2u. I've just did a hard reset... hopefully it will go better now.
Althought i did find someone having the same problem http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2006/10/05/The-Emperor-Has-No-Close.aspx#8580478
But anyway, it is really irritating, because i needed to call the doctor, and twice they hang up because they didn't hear me. After hard reset and reconfiguration and operator installation i could finally reach them. All well ends well.
Lesson learned? yes, have a second phone ready.
I tried using a handfree and the phone works completely fine, just when on its own I cannot hear from the other side. The other side can hear me though.
I used the phone on its own one night, then without dropping it or whatever that earpiece just failed to work in the morning the other day. I tried hard reset and even ROM flash. How likely this issue to be a software crash?
Thanks!

I had exactly the same issue, had to send it to repair. Still waiting for it to come back.
Hello,
I just bought a HD2 off eBay. The only problem is that when I am in a call I cant hear the person talking, but they can hear me. Yes, the volume is up. The phone is not on mute or anything like that. I can hear the person on the line if i put in on speaker or listen through headphones. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is the ear speaker just not functional. Thanks,
logan
Sounds like a hardware problem. Try a hard reset and see if that fixes it; if not, you got a bad phone.
I have tried hard reseting multiple times. Yeah, thats what I'm afraid of. The phone is used, and the log says it has over 40 hours of talk time. So I would think at one point it worked. Thanks for your reply, I contacted the seller and am probably gonna just send it back.
I just got a refurbished Galaxy S4 from Best Buy after breaking the screen on my LG Optimus G. I took the phone home and rooted it, but now I realized I'm having an issue with the speaker for the earpiece. Whenever I try to make a phone call, I can hear the other person for a couple seconds, then it just cuts out. Other person can still hear me, I just can't hear them. I hang up and try again, but can't hear anything then from the beginning. I found that if I go into voicemail, it will play a message just fine from there through the speaker and basically resets it so I can hear part of a phone call again before it breaks out again. Phone is stock 4.3 rooted with nothing removed or frozen yet. Really appreciate any help anyone can offer, either on how to fix this or how to unroot it to take it back to Best Buy if that is needed. Thanks.
Anybody have any idea what's going on here? This is getting really annoying and I would really like to try and get it fixed. Thanks.
