I'm certain you will get better answers than this but I wonder why you need to leave it on overnight since mine at least charges very quickly on mains charger.
Also curious about what the error message says.

Yea as he mentioned...
I'm going to assume (since you posted here) the 9100 is a variation of the Wizard. In my MDA manual (and learned by testing) a dead Wizard will only get a charge from the wall charger. It will not charge via USB unless it still has some power. Use the charger that came with the phone (not the sync cable). You should notice the charge light come on instantly. The phone can be put on the Sync cable to charge arfter being on the wall cord for like 5 or 10 minutes to finish charging if you want.

Can not turn on device :( [solved]

Hi,
Yesterday I've turned off using soft key my Qtek 9100 whilst it was connected through USB to my laptop and charging. I observed that led which indicates charging also turned of but thought that's normal behaviour.
And... today's morning when I tried to turn device on it's not possible. I've also tried to soft reset and it also doesn't help.
What can I do now? What to check in order to find what's wrong with device?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Dawid
wont turn on
Try charging using the AC power adapter. Was the battery level low when it was connected to the laptop? You see the amp on usb port is only 500 and may not be able to charge the attery if went dead. Goodluck!
I've tried to recharge it using charger which comes with my GPS as it has same parameters (5VDC/1A) as charger supplied with Qtek 9100. And I was able to start device but after a few seconds it turned off again.
It meant for me that with hardware everything is ok and I started to find original charger which finally solved problem.
Clemsyn - many thanks for your help!
Cheers,
Dawid
ur welcome!

Universal not charging!

My beloved Universal fell whilst charging recently and will now no longer charge ( I can verify that the battery is ok as a friend of mine charged it up in his and it works fine. Is this something that is going to be easy to fix? or has my Universal now become a paperweight?
Cheers
Allan

The retention charge of the battery shudn't go below 20%,it seems that the battery has fully diffused of charge,it won't charge with usb cable and pc,cuz its charge output is only 0.5 amp. It'll only charge with the wall charger with an output charge of 1.00 amp.Get it charged with a 'Wall Charger',hope it'll work out, otherwise, you might have to try the "Jump Start" trick.Take a usb to mini usb cable and cut the mini end off. Strip the black and red wires, plug it into your laptop or desktop usb port and touch the black to the negative terminal of your battery and the red to the positive. Hold them in place for about 20-30 seconds, place the battery back in the phone and it should boot and then charge normally. Somewhere on this site you will find this information and a couple of posts from people who used basically the same technique with a nine volt battery, where,a wall charger is cut off in the same way and "Jump Start".
Good luck !
My friend, you are simple the best. You are my hero. I lost one USB cable, but my phone come back. Your "Jump Start" trick worked perfecty. Really thanks about your tip. I don´t have words to glad you.

Its much easier and trouble free to flash with WinXP and its recommended highly,as winVista still has some compatibility problems. So I advise you to flash with winXp OS.
But some people have successfully flashed through winVista, you need to download some drivers.check out this link, there are complete instructions for flashing with winVista :-

Thanks one more time and sorry to annoying you...
I LOVE YOU !!!
Thanks more than a lot
Jump start trick worked fine for me too !! I cut the wire off from old usb mouse and use it as informed.
I just cant understand how it could be so that if you let the battery power too low or empty the wall charger (5v/1A) will not begin to charge it again ???
But my battery is alive again and I m happy, thank you !

It's just a design flaw. Sometimes things get by engineers. They're too busy trying to create an interesting user experience, and they forget to cross t's and dot i's.
This worked for me as well!!!
Thank you so much, dude... helped me resurrect my Wizard who'se been dead for like 3 months now!!!

Have a nice day !
my qtek 9100 freezes at startup after jump starting.
I jump started my Qtek 9100 and it started up as normal but it freezes at the windows mobile loading screen and doesnt go any further. Does this mean its charging or is the battery completely dead or something?
Wow, it like totally worked but Then I let it charge but battery stays at 0%
Thanks for this thread.
My word am I happy ...
Worked like a charm...
You are my hero! mi Qtek is alive again, i bought a cheap wall charger for a V3 Motorola and it can charge my Qtek after a battery drain off, i tray a lot of things but the usb wire cut off solve my problem and im happy again, thanks a lot and greetings from mexico! Saludos!!
Thanks man it was worked for me,
I was trying to put windows mobile 6 but after that mu camera and voice call buttons doesn't work
If you know more about win mobile 6 on wizard pls help me
Thanks
please do not use stripped USB cable or 9V battery to resurrect wizard. the battery is rated 3.6-3.7V (?? cant remember)... use 3x AA(A) batteries or other 3-4V power supply. I've done this with old pc PSU which has 3.3V output.
Just put battery in, connect charger, connect + - cables while inside wizard - bootup - when windows is loaded device can charge itself - disconnect resurrection power supply.
do not try to charge li-ion battery with whatever currents/voltages... or at least wear some kind of fire protection

Charger port trouble S8

Hi, I have some trouble with charging port in S8(Pie|snapdragon)At first it sometimes said that there was moisture in charging port , however I didn't put my phone near water at all. When I try to charge my S8 with original charger it doesn't say it's fast charge. In addition when I connect some devices via OTG it doesn't have any response.I mean what it can be?Or anyone has similar problem.Any solutions?

hi
sorry to bother but this is development not asking section
greetz benji
No but it should be in general as it seems to be a growing issue since last update. I have been hearing a lot of stories since August update.

It appeared after last updates ( not exactly after August security update ) precisely after July or June
Update: sometimes as I already mentioned it shows that there's a moisture in port and I can't charge through cable. However when I boot into safe mode this message ( that water is in port ) disappears and I can normally charge it.
