T-mobile Mda stuck on boot screen

I have a cid and sim unlocked T-mobile mda running Wm5. Problem is now when I boot up the device it hangs @ the T-mobile boot screen. I have
ipl 2.26
spl 2.26
Gsm 02.25.11
os 2.26.10.2
Any help plz guys
EDIT... FIXED THE PROBLEM Found this in and it worked...
Ok here´s how I done it.
First, I must explain what was the problem.
After update the firmware (not actually upgrade, I had the phone full of trash, so I decided to reflash same firmware v2.18 PTG), the Qtek 9100 / HTC Wizard freezed at 2nd splash screen (the one that shows OS versions IPL version, ect). Tried many different versions, upgraded to 2.24, 2.25, downgraded even to 1.6.7.3, but always same problem, freezed on second splash screen. I read many topics on xda-dev, and seen some people with same problem. Apparently there was 2 solutions. 1- send phone back to warranty. 2- write backup ROM from SD in bootloader.
Passed more then 15 hours asking for this SD backup everywhere, and COULDN´T find any help. Apparently no one had this "SD dump ROM Backup".
So here´s how I solved my problem
1- I tought that a SD backup was needed, and yes it is. But u can use your own phone and your own SD to do it.
2- Get a clean SD card (in qtek 9100 / Htc Wizard case is MiniSD) with 128MB (some people say 64MB, but I personally used a 128MB, maybe a 64MB is enough)
3- Kill (task manager) wescomm.exe (this is related with activesync installed on your PC). Insert the blank SD card on the phone.
4- Get your phone in bootloader mode. Like this : Phone powered off, press Camera button + Power On, will enter in bootloader mode (RGB screen).
5- Now connect your USB cable to your phone. And start MTTY_updateROM.exe (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/uploads/romupdate.rar). After open, on Port selection, choose \\.\WCEUSBSH001 and press OK. A window will open with a blank sheet.
6- Type "r2sd all" and hit enter... wait to the end (at end shows "cmd>"). On your phone screen u can follow backup progress... small bar will appear down the RGB screen.
7- Power off the phone (or remove battery), enter bootloader mode (camera button + power on) and this time RGB won´t appear right away. Will ask if u want to "download SD image", press voice dial button to agree, and writting will begin. Wait to the end. Power off and power on normally. Now your phone should be working ok. Not even needed to reflash the phone after this.
Thanks to all and hope this helps more people with this problem
5- Now connect your USB cable to your phone. And start MTTY_updateROM.exe (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/uploads/romupdate.rar). After open, on Port selection, choose \\.\WCEUSBSH001 and press OK. A window will open with a blank sheet.
The only Port Selections available are:
COM1
COM2
COM3
COM4
COM5
What am I doing wrong?
i got the same problem too
only com1 and com2 r there
pleace help me
Yes please someone help!
I want to try this, too, but my mtty tool only shows some com-ports and not WCEUSBSH001 ! what's wrong?
Does this work with mini sd cards bigger than 128 mb, too? is there a limit?
ok, I have the right port in mtty tool now, but...
when I enter "r2sd all" and press enter it says this:
r2sd all
***** user area size = 0x77F00000 Bytes
R2SDBackup() - Download type = 5
usTotalBlock = 1 sizeof(SDCARD_SIGNATRUE_TABLE)=512
You didn't get the proper security level to download a specific image
Cmd>
what can I do?
any help is greatly appreciated!

Noob here! - Bit of advice

Guys,
I have a standard O2 Orbit here and I am looking at installing this TouchFLO ROM I've seen on this forum. However I'm a bit worried about bricking my phone.
Can somebody just give me a few steps to follow. I've searched but I have to say I got a bit confused when reading about CID locks etc...
Any help greatly appreciated.
You have to run USPL first (USPL by "Pof")
You will find it at STICKY Section.
Mostly all the ROM here lately allready built in USPL. so it will automatically takes you to the next DSUU windows.
but if you really wants Step by Step:
-----------------------------------
1. Make sure your Activesync is version 4.5 (or Above).
2. Refresh your PC by "RESTART" and enter WindowsXP again (just to make sure your PC running fresh).
3. Refresh your PDA by "Soft reset" your PDA, wait until finish (just to make sure your PC running fresh).
4. Make sure you have 80% or more Battery.
5. Connect your device to PC via activesync using USB only.
6. wait until "connected" or "Syncronized".
7. Enter folder USPL.
8. Double click "start_uspl.exe" (small yellow ball icon).
9. Black screen will appears... start uploading 10%..20%.... until 100%
10. Update windows will appear... Follow instruction by clicking "NEXT" or tick "YES I AGREE..bla bla" check box.
11. The progress bar will appear... wait until Finish.
12. Do not unplug the USB cable or your PDA become brick.
13. When finish your PDA Restart itself... and normally enter the today screen.
14. If not working try it again from Step: 5 (sometimes need to try more than one)
13. If your PDA restart itself and Show the SPL number is changes then CONGRATULATIONS you have finish install the USPL.
Next step is to Upgrade your ROM using DSUU (its on the ROM folder)
14. install DSUU is simple just double click "ROMUpdateUtility.exe"
15. Update windows will appear & follow instructions.
I Hope it helps..
best regards,
Wens
I'm assuming it won't differ if I'm using Vista as my client and not Win XP?
Also, is it possible to do this Via Bluetooth as my bloody USB cable isn't working correctly!
Vista not using Activesync, but WDMC
you can download at microsoft Website.
Upgrade ROM only can be done using USB cable. other won't work.
Good Luck!
- Install Windows Mobile Device Center 6 for Windows Vista
- On your artemis launch Bootloader and connect with your PC using usb cable. (For bootloader press Voice Dial + On/off button at the same time till you see a multi colored screen)
- Do exactly what the tutorial describe here: http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=23&Itemid=27
- Your driver is changed so you can cid unlock your artemis now, do this by using USPL. (download below + manual). Remember to use the same usb port where you changed the driver from, otherwise the connection get lost and you have a update error.
- You can now search for a cooked rom of your choice and simply flash it by running the RUU.exe.
I did Slider's
...I followed the instructions but after step 9
(9. Black screen will appears... start uploading 10%..20%.... until 100%) nothing happened on my phone.
Any ideas. No "Next" or anything...the update rom utility just fired off (running the USPL from the Touch Rom directory
the prob seems to be vista......
or it could be the o2 offical WM6 rom
mine will upload the offical O2 rom but everything else fails.
people tell me im doing it wrong but have followed the driver swap step by step on 2 diff vista machines with no joy.
just borrow somebodyelse Windows XP Machines.. that'll do.

Someone explain, help...

Hello,
This is my first post on this forum.
Im new to the Pocket Pc's. I got this T-Mobile MDA II from my friend 2 days ago and that was the first time in my life when I touched the PPC.
I have a big problem.
MDA II is not reading the SMS (''the phone is not ready, try again in 15min'').
And another problem is GPRS. MDA says ''connecting'' or something like that, and nothing happens.
The PPC is from Germany, and I live in Croatia. And the language is in English-Germany.. Something is on English, something on Germany.
Can someone explain what's the problem ?
And another question
I download the WM6.1 AKU1.0(build 19199).
I can't get to the Bootscreen mod, I click the middle navigation button, then power button and nothing happens.
And where is the reset button ?
Sorry for my stupid questions and bad english.
But I need some help.. Please!
Please!
I need someone to explain how to install ROM on MDA II.
the reset button is on the left of the charging block ( tiny hole )
follow these instructions
Start your device in bootloader mode by pressing and holding down:
DPad + PowerButton + ResetButton
After a second release ResetButton, then release the rest of them.
Your screen will show word "Serial" at the top.
You are in bootloader mode now.
Place your device in the cradle, ensuring that the cradle
is plugged directly into a USB port on your PC and not to a hub
and that the power supply is connected to the cradle.
It is also a good idea to disable any screensavers on your desktop PC.
Once your device is cradled, the text on the screen will change to "USB".
Run HimaUpgradeUt.exe
Sit back and wait for the Congratulations screen to be displayed
on your PC. Your device will still be displaying 'Upgrading ROM Image, please wait....',
but as long as the PC says it is done, then its all OK.
Detach your device from the cradle.
Now you have to hardreset your device.
Press ResetButton and hold down CameraButton + RecordButton.
Hold them pressed until the "Boot Options" menu appears on the screen.
Select the options as follows:
(for selecting use RecordButton, change values with CameraButton)
Enable KITL -> NO
Clean Registry Hive -> YES
Format Storage -> YES
When done, press DPad and wait until OS starts.
===========================================================================================
PS: Upgrade on your own risk
omg this is amazing...
ather90 thank you very much!
6.1.1a16CS (WM6.1 AKU 1.0) ROM is great.
I can now use my camera, use gprs, use internet..
Wonderfull
good that you finally succeeded. now try 6.1.1b16CS (WM6.1 AKU 1.0)

This is also my 1st post here. But I'd been monitoring the xda-developer forums for a long time. I spend more time reviewing posts rather than posting in forums. Anyways I think I can help. Here's the answer to your question: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HimalayaBootloaderSdCardFlashing. You can also use the search function provided by this website to search for topics that you need.
Thanks for the link which lead me to bootloader info below
"you can connect to the bootloader, either via a serial cable, and use a terminal program like hyperterm. or via usb, and use mtty. make sure you have disabled the serial or usb connection in activesync, before trying to connect to the bootloader."
So i am guessing its both USB CABLE or USB CRADLE got i just purchase one on Amazon for 90 pence

Four colors screen after radio 1.58.25.14 upgrade

Hello,
After I tried to upgrade my Polaris Radio Rom to version 1.58.25.14, instalation stoped at 99%.
Now when I just turn on my device without USB cable connected I get always the Four colors screen. ( POLA100 ; SPL-1.25.0000; CPLD-2)
I already tried to upgrade many times the radio rom, the full rom, according with the described on 'How to guide: HardSPL ' but when I try to upgrade the info about Image version at the 'Step 4' doesn't appear, and at this step the device already presents the evolution bar stopped at 0% and doesn't pass this...
After a while I get always the same message 'ERROR [262]: UPDATE ERROR'.
What can I do to RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM ?
PLEASE HELP ME !?
Thank you in advance !
i think u shuld wait, coz it takes somtime on 99%
sorry ... you havent read all threads about radio rom flashing carefully!
download the programm mtty and use the command "boot" to start you OS again. then you must flash hardspl. after that ... you can flash a radio rom.
your device isnt bricked or damage!
You can try this....
1. Stop ActiveSync
2. Open Task Manager (press Ctrl + Alt + Delete) on your PC and
stop these two processes rapimgr.exe and wcescomm.exe
3. Plug in your device via USB. Your computer should be asking install a driver. Install and continue.
4. Now Run mtty and choose USB in 'PORT'
4. type "set 16 0" without the quotes to tell bootloader to boot the OS after reset.
5. type "task 8" to get your device formatted.
6. Now unplug your device and manually reset it.
Should work... I used it a while back with a Hermes and I just guided someone else with the same problem as you through it.... and it worked.
I can confirm that the method indicated by Christonge works fine
PQillu,
Thanks mates !
It worked, I finally have my Polaris alive !

>> type "task 8"
this step is really optional. no need to re-format if you stucked in bootloader mode usually. device will boot after "set 16 0". this command sets device to use normal mode instead of bootloader mode upon reset.
ommiting the task 8 will save you from reinstalling all you programms again and form other data losses associated with hard reset.

Hermes (TyTN) Call Duration Reset

Hi. Please tell me a metod to reset call duration at HTC TyTN.
This is for personel use, not to resell on ebay as "NEW"...
How to reset call timer (if you want to know reason why you want to do this, please do additional research)
a). Please make sure that you are SuperCID and you understand the importance of hard spl as this maybe a dangerious operation for you.
b). Make sure that you have SPL 1.10 Olipro (this one works for me, higher version seems not work)
c). Download Mtty.exe and save it to your computer.
d). Open connection setting of your activesync or WMDC on your PC and disable "Allow USB connection".
e). Put your device into Bootloader mode and connect to your PC via USB
f). Run Mtty.exe from your PC
g). Select "USB" in port box and then click OK
h). Press Enter once or twice to let the screen dispay "USB>" or "CMD>"
i). Type "rtask b" and Enter then it should show result "0"
j). then type "ate1" and Enter then it should show result "0"
k).then type "atv1" and Enter then it should show result "OK"
l). then type "[email protected]=270f,270f" and Enter then it should show result "OK"
Restart you PPC.... you call timer should be 00.00.00
