Sharing built-in GPS between two phones.

Rookie question here: Is it possible to share my Trinity's GPS unit with my Wizard over a Bluetooth connection? Now I don't know if Bluetooth is required to be enabled when using GPS because the Trinity communicates to the GPS unit over BT or if it's just something to get the damn thing working but if it does actually send the GPS data over BT, how would one set the other phone to use this signal?
Thanks.

Try GPSgate http://www.franson.com/gpsgate/
I have shared Trinity's GPS with my laptop before, I don't see any reason why not between two phone.
GPS data is a one way data stream, so you can record it or redirect it to any virtual COM port on any device designed for it.
But I think GPSgate is the only app I can recall that does it nicely.
Also checkout the PocketPC Experts' reviews of GPS software for other possibilities.

You may try also GPS2Blue (http://users.skynet.be/hofinger/GPS2Blue.html) - benefits: it's freeware.
Thanks fellas for your wonderful suggestions. I'm looking into them now.

Move bluetooth from com1!

Hi Guys
Bit of a strange request but anyone know how i can move bluetooth/serial from com1. The reason for this is I have a bit of software for my job that gets its gps info from com1, so i use Gps gate to re route the gps signal but I lose bluetooth.
Thanks in advance guys!

GPS Antenna

Hi guys, I need help with a GPS Antenna.
How can I set up a GPS Antenna on a TyTN?
there's no gps in the hermes, or at least there's no way of making the gps chip in the hermes work.....yet. see the wiki

Get yourself a gps reciever that connects via Bluetooth. I picked up a "AntennaGPS" 54 channel reciever for $65 australian on ebay and highly recommend it. You will need the gps software, I like Tomtom 6 or Miomap. You also have to have the maps. These programs WILL cost you but its wothwhile. You may also be able to find on the net for download BUT they are illegal copies. I'll leave it up to you to decide....

Well if you have not bought or loaded any GPS software then you can for the time being load up a free software GPS Test that at least will show if you are receiving satellite info from your bluetooth device.
To get your bluetooth device recognised by the TyTn you need to use the connections setup to add a bluetooth device and allocate a port to it (port 4 is a good choice normally)
I have not got my TyTn out at the moment but I'm sure someone will give you a step by step guide to adding a bluetooth device if you can't find the menus.
