Smart Dial for Wizard???

I just got my new Wizard ([email protected]).
As I used Magician ([email protected]) before, there is a smart dial option for the phone.
I can make a call with "ONE Finger" but in my Wizard..I have to scroll all contacts to make a call.
Is Smart Dial option available in others e.g. Qtek, i-Mate...etc?
Can please help to extract this for me???

If you go in the ftp under uploads\kjam you can find the extended rom of this device (imate kjam) that support smart dialing. Inside the extended rom there is a file named Default_SmartDialing_enable_0915_signed.cab. Perhaps this help you.

Copy the files to your ppc and run then from within the ppc exporer,
then it will be installed, you don't need to extract anything.

I final got the files "Default_SmartDialing_enable_0915_signed.CAB" and install into my Wizard Chinese Version.
But there are no different and no way to enable SmartDialing.
Would anyone can have a screen capture on it or show me how to enable it.
I still need to search thru the whole contact to start a call.

If you have a KJAM you already have smart dial.
To enable smart dial you have to open the dialer (press green button) and then press right softkey to open the menu, the bottom selection is SMART DIALING OPTIONS that enable/disable the function.

Here is the smartdialing cab...I have installed in chinese Dopod 838 (K-Jam) and no effect

I just think the files seems too small...do anyone know is it enough for installing SmartDialing????

Hey, I'm also using Dopod838 Chinese... The quick dial is enabled by default... no need to do anything in addition. When you're in the phone applet, press your right softkey and select "快速撥號 (I)" can setup speed dial numbers. 8)

He's refering to Smart Dialing, not Speed Dial Tse... The file size is correct miko... How did you install it? Did you copy the cab file to your storage card or whatever and run it from there?
One thing I missed, is the O2 Dial Wizard on my IIs.. It let you edit the number before dialing and set carding card prefix etc.. Too bad it doesn't seem to work on WM5 or my Exec

I recommend on using Phoneplus which I realized is suitable for WM5.

I have tried the CAB file and it is not working, too.
Anyone successfully run Smart Dialing on Dopod 838? I miss this application very much! :roll:

I found the CAB file actually only activate the smart dialing, which does not contain any program file. The program files should already installed in the K-Jam default ROM.
So I think the smart dialing will be able to run in Dopod 838 by copying the following files from K-Jam devices:
- \windows\phcanhtc.dll
- DPadMenu.dll
Anyone can help? :wink:

This is the Smartdialing program i used for XDAIIs before, u can try to install it into the 838, please give result after try.

I have tried to install the cab. However it doesn't work nor have any change to the dialer. I think it is for WM2003SE. So... we need the WM5 version of Smart Dialing that found in English K-Jam or English Dopod 838, or maybe Universal...

This one is on my device, and it should work ?

Need Help with a Message Problem

and every time i text..and i do mean every time i get a message sent to me saying message delivered....funny thing is i have it turned on off in message options and it still happens... and here is what the text says exactly
From: System Administrator
Body: the message u sent has been delivered.
is there a registry edit to permanently disable this or a cab anyone might have..plz any help will do

anyone?....i see ppl viewing it any input at all?

I believe you have to set up your carrier info, or just use DCD's Carrier cab.

Hello Everyone & X1-ians,
I need HELP URGENTLY!!
1. I tried to downloaded the Trial version of CE-Star from "Mobem Technologies", and keyed in my IMEI number, and it keeps telling me that my product serial number is incorrect!!!! - Therefore unable to register!
2. After which all my sms messages turned blank, also cannot see view my internet.
3. I have tried to go to the regional setting, and it was showing me English UK
4. What should I do? Please guide me step by step?
5. Btw, is there any free cracked version of CE-Star where we can download?
I hope someone out there able to help me out. Many thanks in advance .

schow worng counts of New messages in Mail Tab

I have some problems with the mail Tab, who display the count of new messages - it's not the same as showed in the mailbox.
after Hard reset -- to get an virgin TP2 as ist was delivered -- ist works
after I' ve install my progs - and than -> the same problem
Have anybody an Idea to solve This problem?? edit registry Key ??

i would try to install one application,softreset,check emailcounter,then same procedure.
At the end you could identify, which Prog cause the problem(if it´s caused by a prog.
Would be helpfull if you post your applications you install on your Device

From the beginning, I'm getting in sending an sms the error message below.
Regardless whether I just reply to an sms or enter the recepient manually or use existing contact. This happen in all kind of formats : +49 or 0049 etc.
Does someone know a hack to disable this bloody error message ?

PS : this message translated says : "one or more recipients are not known or address is wrong. Send the sms anyway ?"

I've tried almost everything. Several hard- and softresets. Since I'm using still Outlook 2003, I wonder if this might be the reason. Maybe it would work properly with outlook 2007.
I was hoping, that someone knows a "hack" to disable this error-message.

There is a menu Error Reporting, why dont you dissable it and may be it will go away?

Sorry, but this option reports a bug to microsoft if a program crashes.
So, no help :-(

I tried edit contact with office2007/2010 and i see this bug:
number phone changed from +390451234567 in +39 0451234567. But it's impossible send sms (error show is same of this thread). Solution is edit manually contacts and delete space inserted automatically by outlook. In mobile center configuration, before resync, need to change "in conflict case replace elements in device" with "replace elements in pc" or similar. If you don't change this setting your contacts returns with space after international prefix.
