I have some problems with the mail Tab, who display the count of new messages - it's not the same as showed in the mailbox.
after Hard reset -- to get an virgin TP2 as ist was delivered -- ist works
after I' ve install my progs - and than -> the same problem
Have anybody an Idea to solve This problem?? edit registry Key ??

i would try to install one application,softreset,check emailcounter,then same procedure.
At the end you could identify, which Prog cause the problem(if it´s caused by a prog.
Would be helpfull if you post your applications you install on your Device

I need help my JAM stops to receive sms . I have try with 2 different rom versions (ma_cdlsku1_wwe_10300_143_10100_ship)& (ma_cdlsku12_wwe_10300_163_10100_ship) but the Hard Reset is the only solution.
The bad news are the recover (before & after the hard reset) not fix the problem .
Any help to recover my system or fix the [email protected] problem..
I have try all the backup software exept the new spb clone.

Make sure that - if you're using Spb Pocket Plus - you add the SMS program to Exceptions under the Close button menu.

i dont have install it !!
mine does it too while in a game it comes up with the timer windows thing in the sqaure box till the txt is received so its not really a problem
The problem is Sprite Backup and that you have an old version at least older than 3.1.3! Older versions of Sprite Backup cause that problem after a restore! Try the latest versiom 3.1.4
nowt to do with that its just how the phone works as i dont even use prite backup :roll:
I had the same problem.
Finally I found out that the reason was ActiveSync.
To be sure try hard reset and then choose backup everything but sms folder (or even e-mail folder). And to get rid of that problem in ActiveSync settings mark not to syncronize e-mail (or something like that).
I flashed my qtek 9100 with the latest 1.6.7 rom and the extended 1.6.7 rom also and let all the cabs in the extended to be installed. The device works like a charm now but I got no MMS Inbox. I have entered all the GPRS settings and intalled the MMS Server settings but no MMS inbox. Anyone else got this problem ?
The mms inbox in part of the extrom installs but I don't know which cab. Sorry can't be more help.

That was what I also thought. But all the cabs in the extended are installed - I even installed them manually afterwards to see If I could get my inbox back.
Ok I think in my O2 Exec the cab that installs the mms inbox is called CAB-Shortcut-O2UK-22Aug05.CAB
I'm not totally sure though! Hope this helps.

Tried that already
Did you do a soft reset after installing that cab? That can sometimes cause problems as WM5 takes a few minutes for settings changes to go from RAM to ROM.

I did a softreset quite soon after the install - shall try it again and then wait longer !

I had the same problem!! Went back to my original rom because of this.

I tried everything, installing all cabs manually and looking in the registry. I gave up and did a re-flash and now it works again
MMS Fixed
I upgraded to the new QTEK ROM - really added some speed. Upgraded the Radio ROM - fixed some goofy no dial issues - but no MMS inbox.
So I re-installed the original ROM tried to copy the MMS related CABs to the extended ROM - got a "couldn't write error". I was very frustrated.
Really wanted the fixes that I got with the ROM - so I kept trying.
Ran the two MMS related CABs with a double tap. BINGO :shock: the MMS inbox was back. The CABs below are in the new extended ROM zip file
-EnableMMSDRM.CAB
-Shorcut-MMS1-Java5xx-CyberonVoice-CV-04Nov05.CAB
I felt fairly goofy myself - simple answer.
Good luck. Still would like a way of writing them to the extended ROM - but this does for me now.

As I said, install in this order:
Copy the files in 1 & 2 to your SD card.
Then:
1. Run the file EnableMMSDRM.CAB
2. Run the file Shorcut-MMS1-Java5xx-CyberonVoice-CV-04Nov05.CAB
If you system is running as mine does - the MMS Inbox should appear.
If that doesn't work, do a hard reboot. As you finish the re-setup of your devise, just after the "Skip" option on the password and before the devise does it customization, press reset. This will prevent the loading of the on board extended ROM.
After the soft reset, complete 1 & 2 above.
If that doesn't do it - guess you got a problem larger than my answer.

Hi I followed your advice through, and after installing both of the cabs I get the mms folder,i left it for 10 mins then preformed a soft reset and it was gone, installed the cabs again and there it was!! lol but as soon as i preform a softrest it"does a runner"

im using the xda minis with orginal o2 rom and if i can avoid using o2 active that would be great!!
Instead of completely skipping the customisation step (where the Extended ROM installs), opt for Corporate Mode instead (code 0506). This installs a minimum subset of the Extended ROM, but DOES include MMS. That's exactly what I've got running on my O2 XDA Mini S and it works just fine (plus there's no nasty O2 Active stuff!)

i have a prob with poket outlook on my tytn ( rom ver. 1.18.258.2 wm5 5.1.195 build 14955.2.3.0 hermes 200 ).
Poket outlook is not working at all , no mail , no sms , no mms . in some case the program doesn't start , in some it try start but freeze or cause device to hang or other program to response slowly .
It seem to not receive sms ( no notify in the upper bar of the device ) .
I tried the hard reset but still the same prob.
The sim work properly
The other programs on the device are working properly .
Also done a scan with an antivirus ( mobile F-secure )
I found this problem after tryng installing tom tom ...
Please HELP!!!!

Me too, the shortcut doesnt launch mail app, cannot send sms or access email.
For me personally i think its something to do with sktools or memmaid cleaning something it shouldnt have, or i've recently installed ilauncher

Messaging Glitch - FIX
I have had similar problems to this and found it was due to the Pocket Outlook database being corrupt. Please look up my post in the following thread:

It has an attachment called cleanmail.zip that will completely recreate your Pocket Outlook database. Extract the .CAB file and copy to your phone and run by clicking on it in File Explorer.

i found the one called cleanmail 2.06.exe only , not sure if it's the same but
not working for me ... can't open outlook or sometimes it start open and freeze.

Someone know what files are involved in this problem ? there is a way to reinstall files copying them from another tytn ?
Or there is a way to complete reinstall the operating system wm5 assuming that an hard reset ( i tryed 3 times ) did not solved the Poutlook problem ?.
I explain better the problem : starting 'MESSAGE' the app won't open or sometime i can see the word 'message ' in the upper bar and 'new' and 'menu' in the bottom bar but background stays to ' today' screen . NEW and MENU seem working but can't see or send any message type ...
Some other times Poutlook freeze , i can see it started in MEMORY>RUNNING APPS but impossible to close ( must turn off the device or softreset )

I'm partially fixed the problem : i'm tryng FLEXMAIL 2007 for wm5 trial version , after installing it's completely integrated into operating system , manage email and sms ( no mms ) and it's much more better than pocket outlook . No need pocket outlook anymore
I suggest to try it to completely replace corrupted pocket outlook ...

I have installed O2 SMS plus (V1.1) on my Trinity , and it worked great but for a very short time which was until the first Soft-reset after the installation.
After the first soft reset, I wasn't able to send or receive SMSs through the normal program (messegeing) and even after treing O2 SMS plus , I THINK I was only able ONLY to send but not recieve anything.
The only solution was to uninstall it!!
BUT I REALLY DID LIKE IT !!
Does any one have a solution for me to make it work?

I found a solution!!
I found a solution!!
1. Install o2smsplus.cab on your device
2. go to the windows directory and copy the file o2smsplus.exe and past it some were else.
3. go to settings> remove programs and remove o2sms plus
4. soft reset
5. now you can use o2smsplus by running the "copy" of o2smsplus.exe
It worked! great. O2 SMS Plus is a perfect SMS tool to send scheduled and group sms. Thanks!

I flashed my HTC Viva with pdaviet's 6.5 Rom (which is in all other ways totally cool) but now when I start an SMS or email I can no longer start typing the recipient's name in and have the phone search my contacts and auto complete the address or phone number. I have checked in my options Search All Address Books. Is there a tweak for this?

did u hard reset your phone after flashing the rom? if you did'nt then you should...also do take note hard resetting will delete everything on the phone's memory, and it will restore it back to how it was when u first flashed it. hope this helps.
No this won't help even if you hard resset so there is a plugin file to install on it ... so find it out i'm alsoo looking for that file i think it was uploaded in any topic like Wm6.1 v(1.6)
