Universal SMS from Sim

does anyone know how to retrieve sms messages from the sim on the universal?
ive got 1 or 2 sms that i would like to keep but there not there in the inbox.

Sending vCard by SMS

Is it possible to send vcards (name + phone numbers) thought SMS?

I am using a Imate K-Jam with WM5. On my previous PDA with WM2003 I had a small application that allowed me to send and receive vCards through SMS but it doesn't work with WM5

I use Pocket Informant V6 and when I hold my sylus on the contact I get a drop down panel and in the they is a feature called Outlook Mobile Plugins in the you can find Send as vCard.
Have you tryed this because it look like a feature alrweady the if not you have to install Pocket Informant.

Thanks for the input! But I do not have Pocket Informant nor do I want to install it just for this "small" feature

Send as cCard is standard
I just tried it, send as vCard comes up as standard. It creates an MMS message you can send to a mobile

I am trying to add a contact to an sms I am sending. But it only has attach vcard, which creates an MMS. How to just attach the contact?

I'm looking for any software that can do what SMSOrnagizer or smart inbox can do i.e hide/unhide sms, set sms ringtones for different contacts etc. Are there any alternatives which work on the wizard/wm5.0?

smsOrganizer is now avaiable for WM2005!!

does any1 know how this guy makes his program send u a msg telling to the d/l the latest version when you try using the program?
ie i went to start smsorganizer today, and it doesnt start, but comes up with a pop up asking to check the website for the latest version...
how does anevemkovacs get the program to do that ?
does he have access to control the program even though i haven't been online for months...

JEYO Mobile 2.5 : Wrong date after restoring SMS

Hi all,
I have a little issue with Jeyo Mobile 2.5.
I have old SMS from a WM5 ROM on my PC.
I have installed WM6, try to restore those SMS (So in jeyo extender: sms selection, then "copy to device") but all my SMS are dating from 2053 instead of 2007, so all new SMS are at the end of list.
Any ideas ?

perhaps a bug with Jeyo with wm6?

It works fine with me, using vista, wmdc 6.0 & 6.1, and various wm6 roms. The only problem is the message size of the restored sms, always 0kb.

Yes, the messages are fully restored, just the size isn't.
And I'm also using extender 2.5.

What a crapy soft, like you, always 0kb, not a big deal.
BUT, while copying SMS to device, the soft send ALL my old sms to contact !! almost 50 sms...thx JEYO.
I have uninstall this soft and now use SMS Backup directly from device

Solved: No SMS notifications and missing SMS account in Pocket Outlook

Yesterday I noticed that I don't longer hear the SMS incoming sound (doesn't matter which soundfile is selected).
The message arrives and thats it no indication by either blinking, vibrating or alarm.
The problem only occurres with SMS, Emails and MMS are being notified in every possible way as it should be.
I had this problems once before and ended up with hardresetting my terra. Don't want to do that everytime.
I also noticed that the SMS/Text Message account in Pocket Outlook isn't displayed anymore just Outlook and MMS is avaible from the menu.
To avoid misunderstandigs I do receive SMSes and can open them at any time from Pocket Outlook. Just getting no notification alerts and missing the SMS account settings inside Outlook
Anykind of help or a link is very much appreciated.

It's simple.
Just set "SMSAvailable" in the registry to 1 (enable).
This should solve your problem.

I think i ve got a more serious problem, with the same effects.
I can't see anything else at Messaging accounts, only a "Setup E-mail" button (no messages). I tried to set up an e-mail, but when i finished it goes back to the account select screen, and still only one option, to add a new email account.
After i press X and reactivate the screen on the Task Manager, i can see the Outlook's Inbox, but when i see the folders there arent messages only the Outlook e-mail.
I added the registry key you said, because there was only one key in that folder (nosentmessages 1), nothing changed.
I cooked this rom in my own, had i something missed to put in? If yes, are there any way to install that thing without recooking the rom?

Did you try to edit the registry with the setting from post #3?
