lost post: A2DP magician? - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

I found this article
http://msmobiles.com/news.php/4679.html
in which is claimed that A2DP is possible on the magician (notice the baloon with "streaming . . ."). The required CAB file appears to be available on this site, although, the link happened to be a dead one.
So, what is the story about this? Anyone?

it's working fine now

is there a solution to the BT HS disconn after few minuntes?

Hi there,
On one of the threads i saw a while ago that i am not the only one facing the BT headset disconnection after a few minutes...
Is there a solution to that yet?
Thanks,
Udi
Can't say for sure, but I think my device was cured by the update from www.qtek.se. At least it hasn't happened since I ran the update.
thanks bemse, i cannot access the site - is this a ROM update?
Yes, it is a ROM update. It is only for Swedish Qteks though, so you will probably not be able to install it.
I am having a similar problem wih my BT headset. After a 5+minutes the other caller cannot hear me, whilst I can hear them. Only happens when using BT.
Is this the same symptoms of the problem?
It is the exact same problem.
Just press the green phone button when it happens and you should be heard again.
Like I said, it seems to be fixed by the latest ROM upgrade.
BTW, the forum software inluded and extra "." at the end of my link above. It was supposed to mark the end of the sentence. Try this link instead:
www.qtek.se
Has anyone found a fix for this problem? I use the Jabre205 headsetwith my O2 mini, and I have the same problem. When I go to the O2 website, they still don't have a new ROM upgrade.
Like I said, it is fixed by a ROM upgrade. As you know there is an upgrade available from HTC I suggest you contact O2 and ask them to provide it for you.

Go to your extended ROM >>> see if there is a BT.cab there, and of so run it. Otherwise you may have to reflash the ROM. Maybe others will advise differently.
Nope...that aint there... i searched a few extended rom compilations but couldnt find any BT.cab or similiar cab

Given we are using the same ROM version (Sin's merged), then I think the drivers are there but it sounds as thought the icon (BT_Icon.cab in the ROM) may be missing. What you could do is download BTH Tools v.1010 from XDA-Developers ... I found it yesterday by doing a search. This is installed from a PC and may help you get it going. It is not a BT engine, merely a means of activating/deactivating BT and it shows which battery is in use as well.
I have a weird one as well in that my BT works well in connecting with a laptop computer, but when I use it with a Plantronics M3000 BT earpiece, I have to re-do the connection the hard way (i.e., pair the damn thing) after every time the XDA II is suspended. I don't think it is the Plantronics device (which is a piece of ****e in my experience) alone .... will sort it even if I have to buy a better BT earpiece. Maybe others have some advice??

Bluetooth is totally pants

Is anyone else finding that their bluetooth is really slow at sending and receiving items. Also that there is no way to send items direct to a contact that is in your partnership list, you have to search for them every time you want to send something. If someone has found ways around these problems, please let me know.
an adaption of the Blue angel's bluetooth interface would be lovely. It had loads of options, and let you explore remote devices. This is just like the XDA2.
Would it be possible to port the BA software onto the wizard? I think it uses a different BT stack.
they were able to port the wizards rom to run on a blue angel. I guess they should be able to use the blue angels bluetooth on a wizard.
Please help - is so annoying
Ok, after a little research i found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33532 .It has an app which i installed and has helped a little. I can now send images direct to people i have paired with without having to search local bluetooth first. The thing is it only sends images to paired people. I want it to also send sound and video files. When in file explorer, holding down on an image brings up the extra option of "Send image via bluetooth" which then allows to send by the already paired devices. When doing the same on videos and sound, it doesnt give this option. Maybe this can be done in the registry, but i dont know alot about that so maybe someone could help?
i tried this on my kjam and i had a problem with it, so i uninstalled it.
the problem i had is that the bt keep switching off by itself with no reason, even if i was already syncing over bt, the connection is lost suddenly and i found out that the bt is off (even though the bt icon on the system tray shows its still on).
i don't know about you guys, but i had this prob twice, i reinstalled it again and gave me the same prob.
i can live without it.
Ok, maybe that stack is not all that great. After soft reset lost all sound, and BT does not work properly. Uninstalled and back to normal. So again is there any way to send to people in your paired list without having to search for them every time. Is becoming a pain coz some new phones turn off discoverable after 60 seconds. So they have to keep turning theirs back on. Its a simple option, dont know why they didnt put this in. Any help?
I haven't seen more than 50-60KBps. Has anyone else seen higher transfer rates?
Wizard's BT is useless. Buggy, slow and poor.
And it is not v2.0, it is v1.2
It does not have EDR.
It doesn't even have PAN ffs... :x

Info about BT in wizard. Directly from BT CIG's site. The problem is not with the Wizard, it is in usin MS BT stack.
thanks for that emmeborn, if the problem is the stack, do you know of a stack upgrade which works good? I tried the stack form the blue angel, but stuffed up my phone, so uninstalled it.
actually, i just looked at those pdf files, and at the bottom where it has the revisions, seems they have launched a version around 1 month ago. Would this be a software or hardware update. If its software then i reckon this could solve alot of problems im having.

It is the long awaited rom update. A test version of that rom has already leaked. You can find more info in the Wizard upgrade forum topic about that version.
I am awaiting the localized swedish version of that rom and the latest about that version is that it should be released mid March.

Voice Command + LEO + BT Headphone

Hello,
I've got a lot of problems with Voice Command + LEO + BT Headphone.
Voice command speaks on the Leo (Do you want to call Mr TITI at work?) instead of speaking in headphone.
Do you have similar problems??? In France we all have it.
Do you have a solution?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you.

Same thing happens with Cyberon VSD I am using. Hope someone finds a solution. This didn't happen both in my Omnia and Topaz.
There are a lot of threads here discussing this problem... do a search if you want to research it.
Basically, it is because the HD2 uses the Widcomm BT stack instead of the usual MS one... it will not play nice with many apps (and some hardware) which may have been written with the MS one in mind. This is not an easy thing to fix by just cooking into ROMs too. THe guys with the Touch Pro 2 have this same issues longer than us HD2 owners cause of the same stack... and they still have no solution.
Our only hope is that Widcomm updates their stack to play nice... or more importantly, MSVC or CSVD issues an update that will play nice with the Widcomm stack. Last update to MSVC was shown on Handango site as 20th Nov 2009.... I would like to hear from anyone who has tested this with our units.
Seems to have no issues to our problem
Looks like it's a problem of certain BT headset devices.
