Hello,
I've got a lot of problems with Voice Command + LEO + BT Headphone.
Voice command speaks on the Leo (Do you want to call Mr TITI at work?) instead of speaking in headphone.
Do you have similar problems??? In France we all have it.
Do you have a solution?
Thanks in advance.
Hi, I have the same problem: some times it use the headset, some times the phone pseaker....
I have other problem with VC 1.6.21725:
- as Mail are read perectly, I have no SMS read.
- Call announcment are not thrown every times I have an incoming call...
Any help?
Is there anymore development for VC? or is it discontinued to Tellme?
same problem here....
does anyone have a solution yet? how to make Leo let voice command speak via bluetooth? Not through the the device? I searched the hole Forum. Any tips and hints that where given didn't work for me. So, if someone have an Idea please post.
Thank you.
Joshua
Same thing happens with Cyberon VSD I am using. Hope someone finds a solution. This didn't happen both in my Omnia and Topaz.
There are a lot of threads here discussing this problem... do a search if you want to research it.
Basically, it is because the HD2 uses the Widcomm BT stack instead of the usual MS one... it will not play nice with many apps (and some hardware) which may have been written with the MS one in mind. This is not an easy thing to fix by just cooking into ROMs too. THe guys with the Touch Pro 2 have this same issues longer than us HD2 owners cause of the same stack... and they still have no solution.
Our only hope is that Widcomm updates their stack to play nice... or more importantly, MSVC or CSVD issues an update that will play nice with the Widcomm stack. Last update to MSVC was shown on Handango site as 20th Nov 2009.... I would like to hear from anyone who has tested this with our units.
Seems to have no issues to our problem
Looks like it's a problem of certain BT headset devices.

I'm looking for a way to redirect my TomTom voice instructions from my MDA Vario through my Parrat CK3300 BT carkit sounding on my car-speakersystem by using the bluetooth stack. Now Parrot claims this isn't possible due to a phone limitation. I agree and think it's shortage of Microsoft WM5. Now I've looked up some info about Bluetooth Audio Distribution and found the following:
Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP)
AKU 2.0 for Windows Mobile 5.0 (for both, Smartphone and Pocket PC), which is expected to be released early next year (2006), will also includes support for the Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution Profile profile which is designed to transfer a stereo audio stream like music from the device to a headset or car radio.
A2DP is already implemented into the Samsung SGH-i300 Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition Smartphone, however this isn't based on Microsoft's A2DP implementation but Samsung added it itself.
(Refer to http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=2779 for more info concerning this subject.)
So if this article is based on true facts, it means that Microsoft will soon release a patch for all WM5 based devices, which enables them to receive all audio (e.g. TomTom voice instructions) through the bluetooth stack.
Somebody knows more about this subject and if it's true that after having AKU 2.0 installed, you can hear the navigation instructions through your carkit or headset?
Many thanks,
Youri Festen
there is a facility on this forum that will allow you to switch audio to and from the bluetooth, not high quality or stereo but standard quality.
There is ?
Been loking around in the threads for quite a while, but didn't find a replicatable solution...
Here you go
Tried all kind of files, but no go...
All i want is ALL audio over the Carkit (Supertooth2). That is TomTom + Phone.
I don't care if i have to trun of the carkit to return audio to the phone. But i don't want to have to reset or something.
I have a XDA (Himalaya) btw. Still with Rom 1.72 00WWE 15/03/2004 (Ext Rom 1.72.125)
Tried all these :
BA_OEM_AudioGW.CAB
BA_WM5_Voice_Dialer_2.cab
BCHS_FOR_POCKET_PC_OZONE[1].ARMV4.CAB
Broadcom Corporation BT-PPC AV.cab
Broadcom Stack + Switcher + Icon.zip
BroadcomCorp_BT1.0.0.3900.cab
BTAGExtModule-2.zip
btagextmodule.zip
btaudio.zip
MS-BT-107.ARMV4.CAB
SCO settings all BT.txt
voicedial2.rar
whoa it worked
i know im reaching here, but really wanted to try to stream to the new cingular 2125 (aka hct). downloaded and ran the app with my iphono steroe headphones (luv em), got intresting results.
it worked. ran the app, pushed the button on the headphones, got music. call came in, answered (with auto answer) talked, and on hangup it went back to music. however, if i ran another app on the phone such as voice tag in contacts to initiate a call, it brought in the call, but on hangup went back to the speaker. had to run the toggle on again to get headphones working, not elegant - always want more - but im a happy guy til a2dp comes out for mobile 5. thanks!

Try reading and understanding what you read before posting. See the post of dalamario that is the BTAudio on/off tool !
Is this goingt to be anter shout and wild guesses about what file or tool should "really"work ?
I tried all so called "easy" fixes, hell, i've even got a whole dump of my registry, cut through all the BT + Audio and BT + Headset threads, here and on PDAPhonehome, Howardsforum, and the reduced-to-user-bla-bla on pocketPC-club.nl.
And still zilch.....
Ow, and don't think i'm someone who wants easy answers... Think again, i've been around quite a while on PPC forums and the lot....
What i do want/like is usefull answers ans clues on how this BT and Audio stuff works, beut even after reading some on MSDN i can't find a solution yet....
That's why i jumped in on this thread, i'm not going to reinvent the wheel if some allready has the solution: Tomtom and Phone audio over BT
So i'll stop writing now, and continiu searschin for a solution... There must be one...
Sorry mr high horse, wont bother trying to help next time just in case i might not be right, but then if everyone did that no one would answer anything.
The Wizard can do system Audio over bluetooth.
This has been proved with the easy hack that allows you to activiate voice dial using a BT headset.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=29837
MS Voice Command leaves the Audio Gateway open after initialising, whilst Voice Dialler closes it.
So maybe try installing Voice Command and doing the hack in the above referenced thread, and then see if you can launch Voice command from your car kit. This should leve the gateway open and allow all system sounds to stream to your BT kit until you hit the button again.

Try keeping Himalaya talk in the Himalaya forum then. Posting questions about devices in the wrong forums just causes confusion.

Not Mr High Horse, but didn't you look at what you where posting ? You should know it linked to the same file, right ? If not, you really would just be 'shouting' ...
It's just that i've been reading XXX threads, and just about everyone comes up with the same, useless, files... Like nowbody really knows how it works and waht should be done to make Audio over BT possible...
We here are all trying real hard for months now, you see....
Just a little patience. Test version of Qtek 9100 ROM with A2DP already exists. It works with I-Phono bt-stereo, for example. So I think it will be released by March.

when i am on the underground the headset give a beep to tell me i have no network signal? you may not know the answer but would this over ride the bluetooth stereo signal?
p.s. send me your bank details for the transfer

Do you think that when it works with I-Phono, it will also offer us the navigation voice instructions through BT-headsets or carkits? Hope so!
Can't test it with car navigator.
if audio streaming is enabled, i would have thought you should be able to hear navigation commands.
i have used the bt audio switch that started this thread to hear tomtom commands through my headset, and it works fine.
saves me explaining to my 84 year old dad why yoda is giving me directions

It's nice.... I'd really like Tomtom over my carkit... Ohh, the XDA was so much easyer just soldered a Ground and Left/Right channnel into my TomTom/Leadtec connector, and plugged it in to my JVC Front-in line...
I bought the Qtec 2020 because BT seemd so much easyer
Dear all,

Now THAT would be useful! (really useful reply)
This was always possible with HTC devices, I used to do it on my old Wizard. Hermes and Trinity (don't know about others) can't due to the implementation of Microsoft's bluetooth Stack on the newer devices. From what I read HTC's implementation is not completely to Microsoft Specifications.
Haven't tried any of the new roms yet since I don't have time to reinstall all my apps and haven't seen if anyone confirmed if any of the new rooms fix the issue since everyone is too busy playing with the GPS but it would be nice if someone could confirm.
The easiest way is to install Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 and see if it routes audio through the BT audiogateway. Another way is to use BTToggle/On/Off utility to see if it works with the new roms.
Anyone found it?
If anyone has the solution, I would like to know!
John
Dear all interested in this topic
I've tried BTAudio with no luck (i hear a hiss over the handsfree for about 2 seconds then it stops). There is some useful info in these two links but I really dont have time to investigate further atm. So if anyone else fancies having a look, do let us know if you get anywhere,

sorry know I shouldnt do this but BUMP!
I don't know what happens with TomTom but I use Wayfinder as navigation software and if my bluetooth stereo headset is on then the Wayfinder voice plays through the headset.

I had this happen once or twice with my old prophet (but simple on/off fixed any problems). Most of the time everything worked OK (and I used it loads). Have you tried it lots of times - are you certain that it will not work?
I'll answer my own question. I've just tried mine (latest dopod rom, tomtom, HS850 headset) just get a light hiss but no sound - verytime). Sorry!
Surely someone know a solution!
Another forum was suggesting that "You will need to install Windows .net compact framework v2.0 from Microsoft first though"
Also someone else suggested:
http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?section=bluemusic
I am using Dopod D810 with the HTC GPS ROM and I am able to listen to music, calls and all audio via my GG Telecom Bluetooth using BTAudio and instruction as per this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289720
Hope this helps.
emjay
I followed the registry hack in this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=300838
Finally, it works on my Trinity. No need to install any third party programs.
I am very sorry in advance if this issue has been raised elsewhere on the site, but after spending quite some time searching for an answer by both the forum search and google search, I am going round in circles and haven't found a solution.
I have a UK Tmobile Vario 2 (Hermes) running its original Rom (I have been too scared to flash it in case I break the phone as I don't really know what I am doing) and I have a Motorola S705 A2DP headset. I love the feature on VC 1.6 which reads out new text messages in full but can't find any way of routing the audio for this feature through my bt headset. The incoming call notification works through the headset but every time an SMS comes through it pauses A2DP, reads it via the phones loudspeaker, then diverts sound back to the headset again?!?
I went on the WIKI and found the Voice Command section. I tried installing the patch/program it suggests and did the tweaks it said to the registry , but it didn't make any difference on this problem.
I just wondered if this is an unfixable problem, or if there is anything I can do to get it working because this feature would be incredibly useful to me (I ride a motorbike and to get texts read through my headset when riding would be excellent).
Thanks in advance for any help guys. Sorry again if I am raising a known issue, if I am, if you could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
have you tried this? i know this .cab file worked on my jawbone but i dont/have not used VC 1.6.

Thanks Bapski, I have just installed it but unfortunately it hasn't helped thank you anyway though, it was definitely worth a try
Well, I have had a good read through the threads on Voice Command and all the fixes for the headset button but it seems nothing yet solves the problem of routing the SMS notification through the headset which is a shame, it would have been so useful.
Well, hopefully, when I get my nice new Kaiser upgrade (whenever that may be ) .. I will have more luck with the bluetooth audio
Don't buy a phone with a MS BT stack because they will never fix the problem..MS has known about this for so long its just sad..The next phone I get will have a widcomm bt stack.
Yeh, got to say that the bluetooth hasn't been particularly great ... especially when trying to get it working on A2DP.
If only I hadn't stumbled across VC 1.6 I would be none the wiser and wouldn't even know it is possible to have SMS messages read out oh well
it doesnt work dont even bother, I loved it on my wizard, but there is a hardware problem with the heremes or whatever the problem is the last revision of the BT stack doesnt fix it and its never worked. all the patches and fixes only work for awhile then just stop and rquire a cryptic series of hacks to make them half work again. your better off buying a thai slave to read your messages to you.
I am in the process of moving from a TP to a TP2, and am configuring the latter, however (and I have seen this problem elsewhere regarding this phone) I cannot get my bluetooth headset to play nice with MSVC. Specifically the button to initiate the call.
I have tried the steps listed by bengalih and all should work. From what I have read, they are using a different bluetooth stack for the TP2 which is the issue.
So I have a few questions.
1. Has anyone got the headset button to activate MSVC successfully?
2. Is there a way to change the bluetooth stack without changing the ROM
3. will changing the ROM fix this? Any way I can tell which ROMS will have a working bluetooth stack?
I have Vodafone UK branded model.
This is I think the last thing that I need to make the phone 'functional' for my daily use, and so would be really grateful for any advice.

1. Yes, with certain headsets that will allow a verrry loooong press without turning off.
2. I suppose it's theoretically possible, but I do not know for sure.
3. Yes. Some of the cooked roms work fine with MSVC and bluetooth headsets on the TP2.
Could you give examples of the cooked roms that work?

Flashing now and will confirm experience with my two headsets shortly.
EDIT:
Only had time to test the specific problem identified at the start - both headsets work fine now. Hurrah. I do not know the specifics behind why, or if this will apply to all 6.5 based roms. But for anyone desperately seeking a resolution the headset initiation of MSVC, using the ROM above does fix it. And so far the NRG ROM does seem good.

I currently use EnergyROM version 20090822 (Titanium) with MSVC 1.6.21040.
Thanks to those above for their help.
thank you for the contribution, but for who is keeping stock rom, any possible solution??? I would sell my soul for this...
A "stand alone solution" for Touch Pro2s with an original ROM would be great. Possibly one of the ROM cookers can extract it for us.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Klaus
that would be really appreciated!!!
Got it to work, but...........
Hi I have a TP2 with MSVC installed. I got it to work by editing the regsitry and swapping SDDialer.exe with voicecmd.exe. It works great. I press the button on my bluetooth headset and MSVC is invoked.
The only problem is that the voice commaned that i say has to go through the TP2 microphone not the bluetooth headset microphone. Any one knows how to direct the audio input to the headset microphone???
I am using Miri cooked ROM 23017 with manila v2.5

this bluetooth activation is a real bugger!! does the audio from VC go to the device loudspeaker, or BT headset? that would be a beginning, somehow...

Well I have the Voda version of the TP2 and I also have a spare to play with (I cracked the screen on my first one and got a new one but they never asked for the old one back - it works fine) so I loaded the EnergyROM from a link elsewhere on this thread on to it. My bluetooth headset does not work with the Cyberon Voice speed dial program which I prefer - although this ROM does alow you to put all sounds through the headset. It worked fine on my old TyTn from Voda. Like you said, this is a real bu**er!

mmmh I'm becoming more and more obsessed with this. I googled everywhere but found anything... someone reports msvc and cvc as working, someone else not.. but nobody says it's working from BT headset... blame on htc that forgot such an important thing!

It's all true
I understand that on the Telus ROM MSVC works with Bluetooth out the box
MSVC and CVC do work, UNLESS you want to use Bluetooth, when they don't (with stock ROMS in the EU) ;-)
I'm using MSVC on NRGs Genesis ROM and it works from Bluetooth as it should. If I get a Chance I'll install CVC and give it a try and report back.
Gordon
it would be nice if someone can mange to transplant needed files... I like the bluetooth stack on TP2, really better than usual, but this thing needs more attention from HTC and the 3rd party developers.
msvc is 3 years old as of now, no newer versions, same as cvc... too bad, technology evolved a lot it 3 years, and these programs might improve really really much!! especially the recognition algorythm, and functions.
well, I hope the new wm6.5 will bring some BT improvements for TP2 then...do not want to stick with custom roms yet. keeping my fingers crossed!
should you manage to try, let us know about cvc and make a little comparison for us! you lucky! ;-)
cheers
I´m usign Smaberg´s Touch X "HERO" EDITION and VC works just fine.

I've had this problem sometimes on my VZW CDMA Touch Pro 2. my solution has been to turn off the headset and turn it back on. It seems the problem starts for me when I have the headset on when rebooting the phone. Possibly MSVC doesn't detect the presence of the headset or something to that effect.
I used to use MSVC 1.6 on the Tytn2 on WM6.5 (see sig) and the confirmation notifications when you called someone always used the bluetooth headset. Since running it on the Leo MSVC seems to use the loudspeaker on the handset instead of the bluetooth headset even though every setting is marked as "Announce notifications using Bluetooth hands free only"
Anyone else having this issue as I did a search and couldn't find anyone.
Edit: Just had it working once but then the other end couldn't hear me when the call connected. Then I tried again and it had reverted back to not working.
I went to Bluetooth settings, Advanced, Audio and ticked the box then rebooted the phone...
I have this same problem! Its annoying... you want to make a call and the prompts/confirmation come from the phone... Please, can someone figure this out?

IT isn't... I have done more research..
The Leo (and the TouchPro2) use a Widcomm BT stack as opposed to the usual MS stack. Sadly, this means the BT won't play nice with a lot of different apps/equipment. This isn't something that can be swapped out easily as NRG has pointed out. Touch Pro 2 users are still facing the same problems even though that phone was released much earlier. Some however have reported some success when using certain custom ROMS... how its working with some ROMS and not others is still a mystery it seems
I would watch the ROM Development thread carefully to see if a ROM what works with our MSVC shows up....

I have the same problem. I'm using an old phone when I need to use hands-free. After spending a lot of money on my HD2, I'm not impressed.
I there a particular combination of headset and software that does work, especially for voice dialing?

Workaround
Hi,
for this following workaround seems the only way to get it runnin:
My BT-Headset has the ability to be set as a Stereo-Device. When I establish a connection to this Stereo-Device, I can use it (my BT Headset) to give Commands and recieve "answers" from the VC. In case I want to start a phone-Call, my headset changes the connection automatically from "Stereo-Device" to "Handsfree-Device" and back, after finishing the Call.
This may be the Reason, why someone here already got it running with a BT-Stereo-Headset.?
Sorry for my bad english...
