I use SPB today.
I cant find a shortcut to bluetooth settings and I would find one really useful.
Can anybody point me in the right direction
Cheers
Copy this link to your device or storage.
Then create a shortcut to this link.
Easiest way I found was to install O2 Plus (and Mystery's patch to enable it for all devices, after installation of the actual program) and then I just made a shortcut to the Bluetooth settings, right on the Today screen.
Tjongi,
thanks thats just what i was after!
Cheers
Data Connection .lnk
I'm looking for a .lnk for Data Connection in the control panel. Does anyone know one for that?
I use a free app call "Any Cut", which let's you make shortcuts to lots of cool stuff like special settings. Check it out!
hey just use any {explorer} program for creating links your needed files, for example, Total Commader, Resco Explorer)
grab file on attachment & rename file type *.zip => *.exe)

I want to be able to select my video and music from the today screen . Is there a way I can put a short cut there ?
At the moment I have to select start, pictures & videos,my docs, videos and scroll to the file I want to play.
Maybe I need to install a jukebox or something huh?
You need either a launcher (like iLauncher) today plug-in or something like WisBar Advanced 2 & WA Desktop.
equally you can use PHMTrayLaunch to do this...
There're many Today launchers. Please check out my review of iLauncher ( http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=561&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 ) and the links back to my earlier reviews. I've thoroughly compared most available solutions; based on these reviews, you'll be able to choose the best for you.
wm5newmenu

How do I install this ?
presumably I unzip it first on the PC and then transfer all the files to a folder (which one) on the wizard and run the exe file from there ??
could you spell it out for dumbo here please
pretty straight forward really.....download----unzip----place application somewhere on you device----launch it----place a checkmark in "Enable TrayLaunch".
Once you have that done click on Add and make shortcuts to whatever you want....i.e. a shortcut to PIE might be like this \Windows\InternetExplorer.lnk or a shortcut to the Midlet Java Manager would be something like \Windows\jmm.exe
Personally I have the PHMTrayLaunch stored in the \Windows directory then I created a shortcut to it in PHMTrayLaunch so I can call it easily...
Hi, I would extract the task switch and "alt-tab" included in spb pocket-plus... I think that it's the best, but the entire suite is too big.. about 4,5MB. Anyone can tell me a way for do that.
Does anyone had already tried to do somethings like this...
Thanks

Install Pocket Plus trial.
Activate the 'alt-tab' program.
Isolate it.
Remove Pocket Plus.

What do you mean with "isolate it"?
It's possible to make a separated cab with this? I would built it in on my ext ROM.

Here Check this, I just packed that into cab from my ROM's OEM Package.
It will assign the voice button to alttab
WORKING CAB
I have rebuild your cab because the link inside was corrupted.
I've tried it, and works... perhaps when you invoke the app,it switch directly to the next switch. With SPB ALT-TAB you can see all apps opened, and also select with finger what do you want to restore... It's so cool.
All the other that I've seen, switch directly to next apps like your.
Then here it is, the Spb One:
ANyway in spb plus option there is an option to remove unused component
see in start-setting-system-spb pocket plus
click tools and click uninstall component
It's just an .exe file I copied to my windows directory, created a shortcut and maped it to my ptt button. worls as a standalone app like a charm.
Yes...I have tried too and works great.
It's wonderfull
Thanks.
I've installed on my PDA, it looks very nice!
In the beginning; I couldn't found it. It doesn't make automatically a shortcut to Programs. So I made it and made a shortcut too in the Traylaunch of Battery Status and as first shortcut in START. Where did you made shortcuts to this program?
Its cool~
And how about a soft-reset short-cut??
SPB Pocket Plus Voice Command Functions
Well, this thread already solved my Alt-Tab need from SPB. Has anybody been able to get the Voice Command functions to work without SPB fully installed?
I'm a voice command fan and use it constantly with a bluetooth head set. It was great to just say: "Start - Suspend" after ending a call and the phone would go into standby or "Start - Screen saver" and the screen would turn off when I'm on WIFI downloading something and want to save some battery life. I looked for these on SPB Mobile Shell and aren't available.
Anybody solved this?
maybe this is interesting for you:
MSCEInf is a nice tool which lets you analyze every .cab file:
it shows you all files, all directories and registry entries. and you can extract single files if you want.
with it i simply extracted the alttab.exe file from pocketplus and copied it on my ppc. so i didn't need to install the app.
A little more help
Ok, I could consider myself a power user, but I'm not at that level just yet. (better said, I gotta long way to go)
I got the software, I was able to Identify the executioner which would be spbservices.exe, now, how do I pull it out? Would I need to modify any registry?
Thanks
this one is really easy:
just drag&drop the cab file into the WinCE Cabs Analyser. then go to the "files" tab (if it is named so. i use the german build) and in the list with the file id 20 there is a "alttab.exe".
one simply drag&drop and you have your file ^^
I'm getting there
Trust me, it'll be easy for me after this last question:
Where do I drag and drop it? I select it and drop it in which folder? As of yet it's not working. I tried selecting it and dropping it over any other folder in Windows and it tells me it's unable to read the file, i've tried it on a browsing folder on my PPC and it doesn't answer anything, nor do anything.
Thanks for your patience.
Thanks man!
I was looking for quick-Alt-Tab applications. wunderfull....
Guys, is this copyrighted software? If so, please remove it from the thread.
We don't support piracy on this board. I will be forced to evacuate my bowels on those that are assisting and persisting. We ban first and ask questions later.

Try this one, works on my Triny
Hi all.
I have searched for this, but have been unable to find what I'm looking for. In the Programs screen, I want to add a shortcut to a folder, rather than to a program. Ideally, it'd open up another programs window in the same style tht I can then add links direct to the actual programs, but anything will do as long as I can try and organise my programs a little better!
Thanks to anyone that can help.
Try Panoramic Launchpad
Hi, I use Panoramic's Launchpad program. It's only about $5 from Handango and it will allow you to set icons which link to either a program, a setting, a file or a folder. Its very stable very usable and runs fast. it has an option to replace the WM6 'Programs' action launchpad, which should get you what you want. Try it for free at handango
Thanks Martin, it sounds like it'll do what I'm after, I'll look into it.
Hello all,
I have just received a HTC HD2(Leo) from Vodafone and have paired it with my Parrot handsfree, and have set the bluetooth settings to start the Navi Panel. Except it does not start.
I then looked in the Windows folder and can not find Navi.exe , does anyone know if it is not included in a Voda variant?
If not is is possible for someone to send me a copy?
Wan
mine doesn't have the navi panel either
either the original T mobile rom or the new 1.48 rom!
Chaps,
Look here.....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=581144
Also you may have to use the option of showing hidden files in File Explorer to find it.

Hi
Wacky.Banana
You are correct you have to click MEnu in explorer thencheck Show Hidden Files.
Double clicking the Navi file causes the application to run.
The reason why it doesn't run when connected to my car kit is the HD2 needs to be plugged into a charger

Morning,
To unhide files in explorer go to Tools>Folder Options>View>Show Hidden Files... to solve that problem.
In terms of finding the Navi Panel file you need to explore the Windows folder on the device (fine doing this via Activesync). Once the files have loaded up (can take some time as there are stacks of files in this directory) scroll through until you eventually come to 3 files all called Navi...
Click on the properties of each file; what you are looking for is the file whose properties are application. That's the one you want.
If you want to use it to access the Navi panel, copy that file into your StartMenu folder, which is a sub folder of the Windows folder.
From here exit these folders, go into the StarMenu folder by tapping on Start at the top of your device screen and you should find the Navi file at the bottom of the items listed on that screen (you can tap and hold to get the sub menu that allows you to move the file to the top of the list).
For greater ease of use you can now copy the file as a quicklink onto your front screen. Job done!
Incidentally these instructions are based on using Activesync to access the device and copy and paste that way, not by trying to do all this on the device itself, which you might find tedious and frustrating.
If you get stuck pm me and I will see what I can do to get you there.
Hope this helps.

hi ive found all that on my htc hd2 and done all that but once ive accessed the application it wont let me choose a voice on the app when runnin
Navipanel is designed to work in conjunction with the HTC hardware car kit, which connects with a terminal under the battery cover. It's quite likely that a lot of the functions (such as speakerphone) only work with the hardware connection.
Ok, dumb question now, sorry :-(
In my haste I copied Navipanel.exe into Startup insted of Start menu. Now I can't delete or move it and it's causing some problems. Can anyone help a dumbo and tell me how to get rid of it pls?
Any way we can make a Button/Quicklink for the "Wireless Manager" so we can post it as a quicklink.
I figured it would need to be listed as a program, since we are only allowed to put a program, contact, or bookmark for a quick link.
Otherwise we have to go to the top menu/notifications, then click on the signal, to get to Wireless controls. A quick button/quicklink to jump to the page would be great.
I thought maybe pasting the shortcut from the stratmenu into program files folder...but not sure...anyone know if this can be done?
am i wrong here?
you can put the commanager at a button.
this gives you all the possible connextions, not only the wireless.

I have double/tippled checked over and over, just to make sure that I am not missing something, but no, this isn't an option for me on the stock Rom, for AT&T.
We can choose between program, contact, and bookmark for the quicklinks, but none include wireless manager or commanager...
I thought this seemed like a good idea (Comm Mgr as a quick link). I copied the .exe in the Windows folder and pasted it as a shortcut in Windows/Start Menu/Programs and then set that link as a quick link

Awesome! Worked Flawlesly! This was one of the main things I felt was missing from the phone, thanks!
I did the same thing with the games folder, but didn't see .exe file for the Apps folder in the Windows folder.
