I-MATE STUCK ON USB SCREEN AFTER UPGRADE

URGENT HELP PLEASE, I DECIDED TO UPGRADE MY IMATE USING THE RUU172126WWE_IMATE APP AND AS IT STARTED I LOST THE SYNC, NOW IT JUST SITS AT THE USB/V1.02 DARK SCREEN, I RESTARTED THE RUU....AGAIN BUT IT JUST SITS THERE...PLEASE HELP URGENTLY

just start over the procedure : put the imate in the cradle and run the *.exe from your computer, relax for a couple of minutes (the program needs to find the usb connection) and then you will see on the imate that the upgrade is starting (where the backlight will remain off and there is an orange bar and the % of the upgrade), in this situation the activesync will not recognize the imate, but the program does.
you can also go to the imate support center, some time there is a person available that you can chat to

Thanks, i did try that initially with no luck have just kicked it off again and it has gone further and now apears to be working PHEW!!!!! :lol: does that reload the boot rom and the full windows op sys? will let you know of the outcome...thanks again....

:lol: finally all working ok, just one little funny over the weekend lost all my contacts and calender entries, did a soft reset but no joy. got it all back this morning with a sync. any one seen this before, any ideas?

Newbie - Hard Reset not working!

Hi all,
am I please to find this forum.! I have just bought an Xda Mini S from O2 in the UK.
I have loads of questions but firstly..
Suddenly last night it froze and it will now not get beyond the o2 mobile logo screen.
I have done a hard reset but all I get is 4 bars, red, green, blue and white across the full width aqnd depth of screen with IPL 1.05 and SPL 1.05 displayed.
What is happening and what do I do please?
I have loaded spb pocket and complete an outlook sncy and both seemed to work ok.

The device is stuck in bootloader mode, try a soft reset using the stylus in the reset hole and that should fix it, if not the apply teh ROM again using the ROM on the O2 web site

A soft reset at the boat loader screen (3 colours) just results in the boot freezing at the Windows Mobile screen again.
The hard rest goes to the bootloader screen as does voice +camera + reset. When connected via the USB cable I get "USB" in the lower left corner.
Is there anything I can do from this bootloader screen please?
I also left the battery out overnight but that didn't help either.
getting anxious!

try reflashing the ROM, that should sort it.

I did not appreciate I could flash the ROM despite not being able to make a sync connection. I couldn't even see the XDA in device manager so was surpised when the flash utility actually worked.

White screen Bricked Please Help

Hi my phone was playing up the last few days needing reset all the time so I reinstalled the rom and the phone was running great until yesterday I insalled sim city 2000 which worked no probs but I couldnt exit the program so done a soft reset and now all I get is a pure white screen it does nothing at all. any ideas ???

Also the dpad buttons are getting very hot . its as if the phone is working as when I connect to usb active sync will do its stuff and I can browse the software on the phone using windows. But just cant see anything but a white sceen on the device itself.

Anyone any ideas

Help Pls! My Trinity is frozen.

This is my problem:
I have an Orange SPV 700. I have unlocked it few month ago and installed the Indigo Full ROM. Today in the morning i downloaded some stuff in my phone, and it started to work very slow (probably the memory was full). I have reset it and it didn't boot up.
When i start the phone i see the "by bepe" screen, then "smart mobility" screen and then the "windows mobile 6 professional" apears and nothing happend anymore.
I tried to install another rom but the Active Sync doesn't connect. When I conect the phone, the active sync tries to conect, but it doesn't succeed, but the network connection apears in control panel and i can even ping the device.
Can anybody help me reset/format/anything my device?

Do a hard reset

how? if you mean to press the little button from the bottom, i've allready done that. Actually that's the only button that works. If I want to shut down the phone, i have to remove the battery.

Big problem with advanced config! Please Help!

I recently installed advanced config on my x1 and i changed the setting for 'gprs button'. i set it to include in the bubble: disconnect button and timer
then i soft reset and tried to connect to my mobile internet. The bubble that says its connecting: it comes up twice. Once from the signal icon and once from my 3G icon. This has never happened before. Then a 3rd bubble appears telling me it can't connect (but I actually did connect ok)
EDIT: I just realised that the 2 bubbles are one for trying to connect to pay-as-you-go WAP (wrong one) and the other one for Contract WAP (the correct one). Why does it go through payasyougo first?? Error bubble still there.
Every time i connect through Comm manager, its the same scenario.
Now i've tried to go back in advanced config to revert back to the default setting of 'disabled'. But after reset, the disconnect button and timer are still there!
Additionally: I have the word 'update' on my homescreen - bottom left corner. Think its standard on SE's panel. When I press it, it tries to connect to gprs! Theres no error message if connecting this way (cos it connects straight away to Contract gprs)!! But is that what the 'update' button is there for??
Can someone Pleaseeee tell me how to get rid of the error bubble and/or tell me how to revert successfully back to the original state??
Some info on the 'update' button would also be great!

I just updated my original message. It might give everyone a clearer idea of what's been going on.
Hard reset can't be the only option!

I think Hard Reset is the best and fastest method at the moment.
And you can just set everything to the same state before anyone come up with another solution (if there is).

What does it do for you??
SE Panel, Vodafone branded phone (don't think the latter matters)

The Update softkey forces the weather to update. Might do the same for RSS feeds as well.
