I-MATE STUCK ON USB SCREEN AFTER UPGRADE - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

URGENT HELP PLEASE, I DECIDED TO UPGRADE MY IMATE USING THE RUU172126WWE_IMATE APP AND AS IT STARTED I LOST THE SYNC, NOW IT JUST SITS AT THE USB/V1.02 DARK SCREEN, I RESTARTED THE RUU....AGAIN BUT IT JUST SITS THERE...PLEASE HELP URGENTLY
THANKS GRAHAM

just start over the procedure : put the imate in the cradle and run the *.exe from your computer, relax for a couple of minutes (the program needs to find the usb connection) and then you will see on the imate that the upgrade is starting (where the backlight will remain off and there is an orange bar and the % of the upgrade), in this situation the activesync will not recognize the imate, but the program does.
you can also go to the imate support center, some time there is a person available that you can chat to

Thanks, i did try that initially with no luck have just kicked it off again and it has gone further and now apears to be working PHEW!!!!! does that reload the boot rom and the full windows op sys? will let you know of the outcome...thanks again....

 finally all working ok, just one little funny over the weekend lost all my contacts and calender entries, did a soft reset but no joy. got it all back this morning with a sync. any one seen this before, any ideas?
Thanks for all the help

cook your own rom = no sync

installed a cook your own rom of 2003 the other day and after a few syncs active sync now doesn't detect the xda at all, the xda thinks theres a usb connection but active sync can't see it, anyone have any ideas on how to fix this
i've already tried reinstalling the HTC dock
Hi, yesturday i faced the same problem, after a soft reset everything is ok now.
that fixed it, silly thing
I have the same problem with active sync. I did a soft reset and it does work. . . but the screen on my Siemens SX56 comes out of the soft reset with HTC SAT running. It is a blank screen with a couple of rectangles. If I close this out then active sync stops working.
Any ideas?
Eric
Make sure you delete your old partnership in ActiveSync. May be too obvious, but not always.

Delete the stk.lnk from your startup folder and the annoying HTCSAT will no longer be an issue. You dont need this to use your device. Just causes problems for people. Try it. Also, see my post about your ring volume problem. http://www.xda-developers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2205

Problem with XDA Exec Rom update, please help!

Hi,
Downloaded the XDA Exec Rom update on to my laptop and then went about the install and followed the instructions. The next thing I know an error message pos up and when I look at my PDA the screen has gone completely blank!
I have hard restarted the PDA and just can't now get it to work. All I can see on an unlit screen horizontally at the top is 'USB' and at the bottom 'v1.00'.
ActiveSync will not recognise the device so now completely nadgered! Has Windows Mobile been completely wiped off the PDA?
Please help if you can!
Exec problem
I'm no expert but I had a similiar problem and resolved it as follows.
Disconnect the USB cable from the PC. Reboot the PC. Reconnect the USB. Run the ROM upgrade again and all should be well. I hope.....
I had this happen late last year, hard reset the device (using the two minus keys on the top row of the keyboard, at the same time press and hold the stylus in the reset button), then connect and re-run the new ROM installer, it wil take quite some time, about 50 mins if memory is correct, but this did work - Mke
Thank you very much indeed, it has worked! Have a fantastic day

Wizard Restarting - I'm sure not a big issue

Hi there,
I installed a bunch of stuff on the AKU3.2 Rom H-tec innov / O2 ROM which i found on the ftp and now when i soft-reset the phone, it either gets stuck (in windows) on Today, where it only loads like half of it and is consequently stuck or it resets again...
How would I be able to solve this issue having that it doesn't connect to ActiveSync?
Thanks a bunch,
John
OK let me clarify.... phone is totally unresponsive. I turn it on, HTC Innovation screen pops then the O2 with all the version, it loads windows and you can't really do anything but turn it off... or hard reset which doesn't help because the next time it loads, it just does the same thing...
What can I do

White screen - NOT FROM FLASHING!

Hey guys,
ActiveSync wasn't finding my phone last night, so I soft reset it. When it started up, it's stuck on white screen (where the blue, windows mobile screen should be). ActiveSync cannot see the phone at all.
I've read the post: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Unbrick
I've put it into bootloader menu (SPL 1.09) and connecting the USB cable changes "serial" to "USB"
Windows XP finds "HTC USB Sync" device and ActiveSync's wheels start turning.
A few seconds later, ActiveSync stops wokring, saying the device can't connect.
All I want is to recover my SMSs, the rest I don't care.
Is there a way to connect to the phone's files in 'HTC USB Sync' (bootloader) mode??
*crosses fingers*please say yes, please say yes*
All the best,
Dax.
i have the same problem!
I managed to upgrade to 1.09 while stuck in this white screen... is there any fix to the white screen?
The other forum post didnt work, tried the battery off for 20mins, the usb plugged in with no battery (phone doesnt even turn on this way)

yeah, I had to hard reset and lose my data
i also have the white screen. it just died one day, at the time i didnt even know about roms and i'd never heard of this site.
any help getting it mended would be well appreciated.
Hi Toppy,
Try pulling battery out, other than that, only thing to do is a hard reset.
Sorry
Details for a hard-reset should be easy to find on this board.
Great reason to backup frequently.
(I use PIMBackup 2.5 everynight at 4am and sbp backup twice a week at 4:30am)
a blank screen
heyy guys i have the same problem with my screen, i bought a new one in ebay, after installed the new screen, i turned on the phone, the screen works fine, but when i turned off the phone and change the sim card, then when i turned on the phone again the screen was in blank!!!
guys if you can help my please i will aprecite it!!! i cant live without a touch screen
Creation magic,
Did you follow my suggestions?
My phone gives me white screen every now and then when I reset it. I simply reset again and it's fine.
Seems to occur more frequently the longer I leave the phone without total formatting. (It's Windows - it needs ocassional formatting)
about my white screen
when i turn off the phone and turn on again my screen appears in blank but when i did a hard reset my screen works fine!! i don't really understand my htc 8525 hahaha he is crazy and the call button and end call button doesn't work.

Help Pls! My Trinity is frozen.

Hi guys,
This is my problem:
I have an Orange SPV 700. I have unlocked it few month ago and installed the Indigo Full ROM. Today in the morning i downloaded some stuff in my phone, and it started to work very slow (probably the memory was full). I have reset it and it didn't boot up.
When i start the phone i see the "by bepe" screen, then "smart mobility" screen and then the "windows mobile 6 professional" apears and nothing happend anymore.
I tried to install another rom but the Active Sync doesn't connect. When I conect the phone, the active sync tries to conect, but it doesn't succeed, but the network connection apears in control panel and i can even ping the device.
Can anybody help me reset/format/anything my device?

Do a hard reset
how? if you mean to press the little button from the bottom, i've allready done that. Actually that's the only button that works. If I want to shut down the phone, i have to remove the battery.
