Hi Everyone,
I'm fairly new to developing on pocket PC's but I've been developing applications for many years. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to redirect another programs attempt to access certain files remotely?
What I'm looking at doing is creating a program that would allow me to specify what IP/domain I want to redirect, and where I want those requests to actually go. Doing what the hosts file does in a PC.
I've had a search online and on this forum and couldn't find anything related to what I'm after. If anyone has any ideas on how to do this, or any resources that might be useful/a good read then please post
Supposedly WM has a built in firewall. It might just be CE, but the SDK seems to suggest WM generally. Have a look on MSDN for port redirection and interception. I've written some posts on it way back on here... but on unrelated topics.
Apologies for brevity, have to run

Thanks for the tips I'll have a read in a bit and see what I can come up with.
From the sounds of it, you want to make a DNS proxy. To do this, you need to intercept all dns requests and process them accordingly.
--Edit--
Now that I think about it, if you hook the look up function, gethostbyname()
Hi there,
Could anyone please help me with this?
I want to run an application automatically when my WM5 device get connected with PC via ActiveSync. I've noticed some of softwares had this kind of feature, but I've no idea how to implement myself.
I've tried google and MSDN, still got nothing useful... ( stupid search engin user I am -_-# )
Many thanks.
Look at the CeSetUserNotificationEx function and the trigger event types
Thanks for your reply, saman-cz.
I'll have a try.
sup guys, I got my Wizard and I'm looking to add it to my workgroup so I can access my hard drives, remote control for the computers and possibility print from it..can this be possible?

I'm very interesting...
I would like add my P3600 under Active Directory, but is it possible?
If yes, which is the best way to do it?
so is there a way to make this happen?
Hello Developers!
I'm look for a software to share my Storage Card from HTC HD2 as Networkdrive. It would be greate to open Windows-Explorer goto: "\\IpAdressOfMyHTCHD2\StorageCard" and here i can handle with the files like they are on a normal PC. Is there a Software or how can i configure this?
I found a Tool Called Wifi-Remote-Access but this only supports File Handling in the Webbrowser which is slow to delete multiple file os to copy multiple files. It is a greate tool to work with single files.
Any suggestion for me?
really useful
I've been looking for the same thing.
I think that this is really useful and interesting. Why always use cables when we have these wifi capable devices, which operate Windows?!
I am surprised that no one else was interested and no one was able to give an idea if it was possible to make this.
Hi all! I own an pretty old pocket pc, an HP iPAQ 216, and i'm trying to do something useful with this device.
I've read over some threads and Brighthand forums, but every available file is missing thanks to the Rapidshare site being down.
I'll appreciate if anyone have a mirror to any kitchen which works with this particular device, because i've tried using anothers but they simply didn't work.
I know this is a pretty difficult request, but I would be amazed if someone can share those files with me.
I still think that this device has some pottential to work with.
Hello.
I know this is a late response, but maybe someone else will need it. I have rarely visited the XDA Developers forum lately. I did upload files that a colleague asked. The LunaticFiles account will be active for 40 days. Contents of the upload:

HPImage_6.1_ENG.rar

Of course, you must add before the above address: https:// -The administrator refused me to insert a full link.
Good luck.
Hey I have an ipaq 214, the stock wm6 rom sucks and so does wm6.5, the wm6.1 is in general the very best windows mobile ever made, I have always wanted that, I hope it's in the rar. The file host you used is like the worst ever, they wouldn't even let me download without paying because I'm not in Poland, but I got around that by using a VPN extension and changing to a polish IP and now I'm downloading at amazing polish internet speed of 300kb/s (which is very bad today even for a free file host). Still thanks for sharing the file, it just finished and it does have wm6.1 folder. Maybe this will finally make my ipaq useful, if not then it's just poorly written drivers by hp and I will just stick with the hx4700 which feels more premium, if it only had a dpad...
Hi, i just buy a old HP ipaq214, possible to have a valid link for the ROM ?
Thanks for help.
I still need this lol
