Hi there,
Could anyone please help me with this?
I want to run an application automatically when my WM5 device get connected with PC via ActiveSync. I've noticed some of softwares had this kind of feature, but I've no idea how to implement myself.
I've tried google and MSDN, still got nothing useful... ( stupid search engin user I am -_-# )
Many thanks.
Look at the CeSetUserNotificationEx function and the trigger event types
Thanks for your reply, saman-cz.
I'll have a try.

Same problem, doesn't work in my Atom
Any idea?
I get
"Invalid java archive"
LOL how many times does it have to be said,
Snarfing is a pipe dream !!!
most phones are protected against this kinda thing now (providing someone even has bluetooth on) and theres no garentee that you will have the address book access to get entries outa it.
besides the fact why would you want to,
i know, why dont you just randomly send text messages in random ranges of mobile numbers, its basically the same thing.
Pipedream or not, he may have his reasons.. Maybe he's targeting a specific person, with a specific phone and/or settings

CIHwBT is a Bluetooth Security Framework for Windows Mobile 2005. Currently it only support some bluetooth exploits and tools like BlueSnarf, BlueJack, and some DoS attacks. It is intended to work with any pocketpc with Microsoft Bluetooth Stack.
Let us know how it works

help
how to use CIHwBT?
your jvm has to be jsr-82 compliant to use blooover (or any other app that wants to access bluetooth via java).
That's probably the reason its not working. I have been trying to find a work around for my phone to use a midlet that requires bluetooth through java but its almost impossible to get help on it.
I found a nice program for this for some month ago. The name of the program is Bluezzard works with my qtek 9100.
Hope this helped. Im intrested in this stuff, so if someone find anything intresting about this, please post it.
Waste Of Time
Did a lot of research into BlueJacking and everything related after watching an Episode of The Real Hustle
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/programmes/real_hustle/
Pretty much led me on a wild goose chase. Discovered that these Bluejacking programs were made for the first versions of Bluetooth. The new versions of Bluetooth make the conventional methods of BlueJacking quite impossible. But I'm sure out there somewhere there is a room full of hackers out to prove me wrong.
Any one with a working BT hacking app please??
I'm new to all this stuff, so working info for newbie would be greately appreciated.
I'd really like to get this working on my phone: http://trifinite.org/trifinite_stuff_carwhisperer.html
Unfortunately we'll need to get linux to load first...

Hi all,
I joined the forum because I'm looking to design a PC application using Visual Studio 2005 that will connect to most phones and allow you to send/receive SMS, manage contacts, perhaps even use any onboard camera as a webcam.
I'm an experienced programmer, but know little about the architecture on the Andes, which is my testbed.
Basically, all I need to get started on the basics is how to communicate with the device using a serial connection (Not in debug mode though!), or the best way to accomplish this if not bluetooth.
Any/all help appreciated. I'm not looking for code just a procedure to establish a serial link that'll allow me to issue commands to the device whilst its in its usual turned on and usable state, or docked. However if you think it'll help please feel free.
Many thanks in advance!
opennetcf.org has examples and a free library which you can download
Eelco
Many thanks! However from what I can see, I'd need the latest version, which is not free :S Any attempt to install the previous SDK's fail as I'm running VS2005...
Ok, to clarify, I'm looking for a framework for a windows application that will enable me to connect to a smartphone, and control it. From what I can tell from the above site, the Opennetcf libraries are for a device application... I've installed the free version of the libraries and they work find under the emulator, but that's not really what I'm after...
Just wondering if anybody knows of any programs that would launch other programs when a wifi/usb connection is made?
I would like to turn off activesync (it randomly turns on) and have it come on when I connect to usb/wifi. Also turn on other programs that need to update and connect when I am connected. Calendars/tasks/IM/etc
Or maybe there is already something available and I just need to set it up. Any help would be appreciated.
the MortScript can help you.
Besides this, you need a soft to run the Script when you connect to net.
I'm sure there are some such softs.
For example, we Chinese have a callerLoc can do anything with Script when you are dialing, or you have connected or disconnected to net, or some other SystemEvent
In my memory, SK has a soft(SKSche??) to do scheduler Task. And MemMaid can alse help you.
Sorry for my poor English.
yes skschema will do this, from sktools. It looks complicated on first load, but have a play and it becomes very simple and useful.
sweet! thanks. I will look into those. Thanks!
Hi,
i'm interested in encrypting (and decrypting) some text and/or Outlook notices on my device. I do not want applications that create a safe on the device which cannot synced with outlook.
far times away i had pgp on my loved palm which fitted my request. Is there any solution for this in the WM6 world? I could not found a working link to pgp or gpg.
Any ideas?
Regards,
HAW
I also really need pgp/gpg support for email/attachments. I've searched but have yet to find a solution. Anyone have any ideas?
TIA!!

There is still PGP mobile.. but... you'll know what I mean.. officially no download from PGP.
BTW, PGP mobile for PPC do not include encryption for emails.. well at least the one I have doesn't have..
Or you can use Resco Explorer's encryption.. it works on Windows too with a plugin for Windows on the installation package..
Thank you for the input. I'll have a look at Resco then.
Ideally there would be t-bird with enigmail. :-D

Hello everyone,
i was wondering if anyone could give me any tips about how to communicate with android device through usb from c++ or java(i guess that won't work without JNI though). I was trying to google up some documentation on this matter but found nothing. I wanted to program something like 'nokia ovi' suit as my b.c. 'thesis'.
Thanks for reading this, Tomas Herman
Hi,
Did you found any info on this ?
Certainly should be possible since Sync applications are working ...
Daniel
Yes, this is possible but AFAIK only as a hack. You can install the USB driver for the SDK and use adb's port forwarding. See /code.google.com/p/android-notifier/ as an example. Obviously, not an elegant solution and definitely not for the general Android user.
