Hi,
I am an owner of a HTC Touch 3g bought very recently. The device is in excellent condition and I did not have any trouble with it so far.
However, today when I was pressing the power button to deactivate the screen the reaction of the device was lagged by 4-5 sec. At some time I decided to reboot the device to solve the problem but since then...the device is DEAD, which means that does not start nor when I charge it reacts (light does not turn on).
Tried to have a hard reset but nothing happened.
Any ideas?????
remove the battery and any card(sim...µsd), then press the power button for a couple of seconds. reinsert the battery and connect to the charger, leave it there for a while.
i've had a similar issue with my walkman, when the battery was drained, and i mean REALLY drained, nothing would happen, not even when plugging into the charger. i had to wait about 10-15 minutes until the device showed life again
Tried that but didnt work.
The battery is charged, I charged it fully yesterday 4-5 hours before the incident.
Any new ideas? Thanks anyway...
Send it back where you bought it of course. What else?
Greetings from Portugal!
Same thing happened with my touch 3g, out of nowhere it hanged up this morning and when trying to turn it on again it quickly turned off by itself, and again on almost immediatly, this went on forever! Tried a hard reset and left the battery out for a few hours, but no results... oh well, back to the store and let's see what they say.
Just went last night back to the store, lucky for me they changed it for a brand new one instead of sending it to HTC Portugal for reparation (here in Portugal we have a 30 days return/exchange product policy in case of malfunction).
Best regards
reset button
have you tryed pressing the reset button located by where the memory card gose in ????
Hi, hope someone can help. Baterry went dead whilst on a call, it was low. Tried to recharge through USB "device not recognised". Tried power and Orange LED comes on momentarily then phone cycles through booting. Sometimes you can see the boot screen other time just the vibration is felt. Tried soft reset hard reset every which way power on whilst connected, power off etc. Removed battery tried again, same. Left battery out for 30 minutes, same. It now appears to be stuck in bootloader screen and still cycling. How long does one have to leave the battery out? What else can I try???
Jerry rigged another destop charger so I could align the contacts and got some charge in the battery. Put it back in and charging normally, phone booted up as though nothing had happened. No hard reset evidence.
Hey everyone,
I don't know what happened wrong with my interaction with AQUOS, but the phone appears to be bricked.
Here's what happened.
Bought my phone from Boost, successfully switched carrier to Ting
Have been using the phone for more than a month without any problems at all
Yesterday, I left the phone without charging and it fully discharged
I plugged it to charge and came back to turn it on after a few hours later. This is when I noticed it wouldn't turn on.
I tried a couple things: holding the power button for a long time, and a hard reset (volume down button + power button). But the results were the same.
The screen doesn't turn on. While holding the power button or power + volume button, the only feedback from the phone is a series of prolonged vibrations (~10 seconds) separated by a brief pause (~1 second).
Have anyone experienced this problem?
Any advice/insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated.
I've had similiar issues with tablets where it completely drained and wouldn't charge via USB. At most it'd just give off a single vibrate and then die before even flicking on the screen. Try this, plug a USB cable in for a full 24hours before you hit the power button. Then give it a try. If it pops on to the screen where its charging after that let it get a full charge before fully powering on. Hope this helps and also hope its not due to the switch to ting.
Best of luck
PHONE OFF
This could be due to a bad usb connection. some usb when broke will actually discharge your phone or tablet so try to use a different usb. PLZ POST BACK IF THAT DIDNT WORK I HAVE MORE SOLUTIONS
So the phone was connected to the power bank and sitting idle when I pressed the power button and there was no response. I tried a couple times and then removed the battery, tried again and it powered on. Surprisingly it showed the battery at 56% whereas it should be over 90. I'm just thinking about it that it again stops responding, display won't wake up even with the power button but the LED is blinking. Weird, switch it on again after removing battery, powers on, now battery is 94%. A couple minutes later again it switches off. Power it on again, now battery is 92% and it's been fine for around 10 minutes. How worried should I be and is it time to seek a replacement? Please help, guys.

HI! If your phone is facing technical difficulties I suggest you reset your phone Settings>Backup>Factory reset. If problems persist contact the YU team!
it randomly happens with me too, didnt help even after factory reset
so, i was using my 6P today and it froze for 5/6 seconds and then turned itself off after that i couldn't turn on the phone or enter recovery menu . It also didn't charge when i plugged it into charger also plugging to the pc did nothing. So it was completely unresponsive. then i pressed the power button for 20/30 seconds and it started but again froze during boot animation and again turned off to the previous unresponsive state. I tried this long power button press 3/4 times and finally got it to turn on but it again froze and turned off on the lock screen. Then got into boot loader menu while it was frozen by power + vol down button and flashed stock 8.1 firmware. But it still freezes at boot animation and turns off. Anyone has any idea what i should do?

Hey thanks for replying. I thought of battery problem. But the battery was working just fine until the first freeze this morning so i'm not sure this is battery problem. BTW my battery is almost 2 and a 1/2 year old.
Do you think this could be the BLOD isuue?
