Missing Outgoing Port under BT Settings - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I have just found out that I'm missing the option to define my outgoing port under the bluetooth settings. Does anyone have any ideas on how make this re-appear. I had hard reset my device a while back and haven't really looked around in BT until today and found out that I only have "Incoming Port" and no "Outgoing Port".
Anyone?

Any solutions so far for this problem? My unlocked Cingular 8125 is also showing under Bloetooth settings only Incoming Port and no option for 'New Outgoing Port'. I am using it with T-Mobile SIM and this is the device info:
ROM Version: 1.8.11.1 WWE
ROM Date: 11/24/05
Radio Version: 01.09.11
Protocol Version: 4.0.13.20
ExtROM version: 1.8.11.103
Any suggestions?
Alex

You have ato have a BT thing pair or it will not show on the screen. As soon as you pair something you will have outgoing port.

GPRS and MMS settings for UK-Orange on XDAIIi - PLS HELP

Hi,
I am using an XDAIIi, with an UK-Orange sim (I unlocked my XDAIIi from O2), and my device info are
ROM Version: 1.10.00 WWE
Rom date: 12/24/04
Radio version: 1.00.00
Protocol version: 1337.39
ExtROM version: 1.10.124 WWE
After having set up my GPRS and MMS settings succesfully thanks to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=13498&highlight=gprs
I installed the "GPRS monitor" on my XDAIIi. The result was that my settings were no longer working, and I tried to re-apply the executable from the above link to reset my settings properly.
After a few unsuccessful attempts, I deleted all the settings and tried to input them manually as instructed in the following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=7306
Having deleted all settings, I cannot see the "manage existing connections" links. So I try to create a new connection, and get a suprising message telling me that "A connection already exists with this name" when I try to create the "Orange GPRS" connection (interesting because I had deleted it and cannot see it anymore).
I was wondering whether anyone had a fix for this? If I need to hard reset my device, would anyone have the proper Orange (UK) GPRS and MMS settings for the XDAIIi (and are they compatible with the "GPRS Monitor")?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Behnouche
Orange payg settings
does this work for the pay as you go sim on orange as well. Id love to find out...
Cheers
No ideas mate. I finally hard reset my device, input all Orange settings again from scratch, and things finally were sorted out. No clues as to whether it would work on a pay as you go scheme.
Cheers,

Pocket PC Networking

I just got a Wizard. I always get this error "Unable to obtain a server-assigned IP address. Try again later or enter an IP address in Network settings". Can anyone help, what causes this? Thanks
I have the same problem, especially when I am leaving BT ActiveSync connection. What kind of ROM are you using?
My Wizard has the following:
ROM version 1.3.13.5. ENU
Radio Version: 01.12.10
Protocol Version: 4.0.13.23
ExtROM Version: 1.3.13.116
Thanks

Bluetooth & Receiving files?

I have a T-Mobile branded Magician:
Software as follows:
Rom version: 1.12.2.23 WWE
Rom Date: 11/14/05
Radio Version: 01.12.20
Proto Version: 4.0.13.23
Not sure what any of that means but im sure it will be asked for if i dont give it.
Basicly i cant receive files over bluetooth, i have bluetooth turned on and other phones can see my phone no prob, i can pair with other phones and send them my files but when it comes to receiving files they will get a "unable to connect" / "sending failed" depending on the make of phone.
I have tried setting up a incoming port (Bluetooth settings) in secure mode and not in secure mode, ive tried it without no incomming port... ive tried receiving files when the other phone is paired and tried when the other phone isnt paired.
Nothing seems to work i can only send files i cant receive them?
What am i doing wrong and how can i fix this?
TIA
Dave.

Problem fixed

GPRS Connection

I am having all kinds of problems with my GPRS Connection. I have input the settings for Centennial Wireless, my carrier, and everytime I connect this is the message i get
dialed:
private.centennialwireless.com
Cannot connect for unkown reason. To check your connection settings and chem them if needed, tap settings. If teh problem continues, reset your mobile device according to your manufacturer's documentation and try again.
I did a Hard Reset and put the settings in again with the same problem. Any help will be greatly appreciate.

No I have not. Can you send a thread or tell me how to open that protocol? Is this done by the provider or on the handset itself?
Also how will this help if I can not even connect to GPRS/EDGE?

HELP! 2 TyTns one has a problem with WiFi

Hi All,
We have a client who we supplied 2 TyTns the both have the same ROM:
ROM Version: 1.18.255.3
ROM date: 07/22/06
Radio version: 1.03.03.10
Protocol version 32.34.7010.01H
ExtROM version 1.18.255.106
One of them connects to Wi Fi no problem. The other says the network is available but when you go to connect the network key code is invalid. The key is identical on both devices.
Any Ideas? (apart from a hammer)
S
possibly both devices are using the same device name, try changingboth names to something different
Yes, or go to connections, network cards and delete the one in question and then have it re-detect the network and re-enter the key from scratch. i.e delete the card first not just re-enter the key in settings.
