Hi evrybody,
Is there anyone know where to buy an imate JAM (SIM free - Unlock Worldwide English) in Sydney? I'm living in VIE and I'm going to Sydney on business next week. So pls share the info with me: where to buy (at best price & quality )???
Thank you very much!
The XDA II and mini are available in David Jones in the city (7th floor). I haven't seen it anywhere else, the mini was about AU$1100 and the IIs has to be ordered in and costs $1600. The XDA II was about $1000
The XDA Mini, Xphone 2, and IIs have only just come into the Australian Distributors in the last week and are slowly going out to all stores in a major way.
Would expect that the IIs is going to be a hard sell stacked up against a mini, that is $500 less (I mean $500 for Wifi and a Keyboard is a little steep)
Rest assured all good electronics stores should have these babies in before Xmas
Harris Technology have had them in stock for a couple of weeks.
If you check out www.ht.com.au it will even show you what stores have them.
i saw one in a box in Capitol Square building down in Haymarket. it's one of those small computer shops... if i'm not wrong it's listed for $1100...
Thank you all!
XDA II mini available from Digital City, George Street, $999
I bought my XDA II mini the week before Christmas from Digital City, which is in George Street, just next to Wynyard Station, for $999.
I'm looking to buyin an I-Mate Jasjar, AKA " XDA Exec". anybody willing to sell. I have family in the UK who will b willing to pick up and pay for it. I'm willing to pay 380 pounds. Wayne in SA
Talk to the Yello People - Talk 120 + Jasjar R1700 once off , +- R 300 pm
Thanx, but i'm not interested in taking out another contract, already have two vodacom ones. looking to buy the phone outright. WS
You could walk into the MTN SP shops and buy it cash there, but they'll gouge you with the massively inflated price of around ZAR14,000.
Better get the contact and then downgrade to an el cheapo three months later.
Otherwise you can phone Leaf Wireless, the South African distributors for i-mate, and get one through them. I heard from a friend-of-a-friend that they're charging around ZAR10,000 for the priviledge, but I do not know this first-hand.
Stay away from bidorbuy - mucho fraud there.
Thx for the tip. Am negotioting to get one for R5000 today from person who just took out an MTN contract and isnt too happy wuth the phone.
I am also Looking for Jasjar in South Africa, I am however not willing to pay the silly prices they ask here...
Should anyone know of a bargain, please let me know...
email: duan(at)wbs.co.za

Congrats!
Sorry, meant to add the attachment but forgot. filename is wimr ( where is my ram). hope this works........
I'll be passing through London on Saturday and was hoping to pick up a K-Jam or Qtek9100 for my wife. Anyone know of any stores (not internet retailers) in London that stocks them (sim free)?
Several stores on Tottenham Court Rd in central London shoping distric have it, including one called Iniko or something like that. Just walk the street, you'll find it, mostly on the right side as you go north.
again in TCR is a shop called Kamla 251 Tottenham Court Road
they have both in stock
(got mine from there, very helpful)
Might I suggest...
The O2 shop on Oxford Street? Only £79 or free on big tariffs.
Well, it all goes toward my bonus
Thanks. I'll go down TCR then and have a look.
Davebo, I am looking for sim free (unlocked and without contract). Surely O2 are selling them with contracts for that price.
Yes. I doubt they will sell SIM free - the point of the store is to get 02 customers! BUt you can definitely find that model SIM-free on TCR.
Hello, I am at the world cup watching the Brazil team, and I want to buy a O2 xda atom, (pure, exec, or the regular) or HP iPaq rw6828 or TytYN. Since I am in Germany I need to enjoy the opportunity to buy it in Europe (hope with a good price). Now I am in Frunkfurt and later Munich, Berlim and then Paris. If someone know a good store in one of this cities please tell me (phone, email or address). I'll be glad.

Hi
I live in South Africa and the Hermes is being released here as the HTC Tytn, and i would love to get it.
I currently own a MDA Vario, and i love this phone, but the hermes is always going to be better and thats why i want it.
Can anybody give me prices of this product brand new or second hand
thanks
Brand new, unlocked TyTN: around 700USD ... in the US atleast ..
HTC TyTN in RSA
The phones will be sold by Leaf Wireless, but I don't know at what price. I bought mine in London a few months ago. It cost me about R6500.
Great phone but has many software problems at this stage. Once they release their first upgrade things should be ok.
Thanks, i am aware that Leaf will be distributing them, But the prices in SA will be quite alot.
I mean the K-Jam(Wizard) is currently over R7000 at most places in South Africa, and The cheapest you can get it is R6400
So i cant imagine how much the Hermes will be
Need to go check how much i can get it from t-mobile from
I have heard that Virgin Mobile overseas is releasing it under their own name, so im sure it will reach us over here
