Where to find K-Jam or Qtek9100 in London? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I'll be passing through London on Saturday and was hoping to pick up a K-Jam or Qtek9100 for my wife. Anyone know of any stores (not internet retailers) in London that stocks them (sim free)?

Several stores on Tottenham Court Rd in central London shoping distric have it, including one called Iniko or something like that. Just walk the street, you'll find it, mostly on the right side as you go north.

again in TCR is a shop called Kamla 251 Tottenham Court Road
they have both in stock
(got mine from there, very helpful)

Might I suggest...
The O2 shop on Oxford Street? Only £79 or free on big tariffs.
Well, it all goes toward my bonus

Thanks. I'll go down TCR then and have a look.
Davebo, I am looking for sim free (unlocked and without contract). Surely O2 are selling them with contracts for that price.

Yes. I doubt they will sell SIM free - the point of the store is to get 02 customers! BUt you can definitely find that model SIM-free on TCR.

Where to buy an XDA2 Sim Free in the UK.......anyone know

Hello all
Basically I am having to put an insurance claim in for my old XDA and the insurance company need me to get quotes for a replacement (which will be the XDA2). However, having searched many places in the UK everywhere can only give me prices for contract XDA2's.
Does anybody know of shops or retail outlets that will sell the XDA2 sim free??? O2 themselves won't, Carphone Warehouse etc won't so apart from Ebay (which I do not know if the insurance company would be happy with) I am a bit stuck.
Any one offer any advice??
With thanks
Ian J
Hi,
The only place I know about is http://www.expansys.co.uk . The price is expensive though as its sim free, but if your not paying. Who cares
Rgds,
Rob.

No probs dude.

I'm buying my xda2 tomorrow sim free for £300 from my local o2 shop as they have a special offer on at the moment
Moonmonkey, can you give more details about this offer, they are selling you an xda2 without a contract at £300? I didnt think O2 sold phones unless they hooked you to a contract.
It doesn't matter if you get one locked to O2 as within this web site is the software to unlock it. It will have the O" logo and settings in it but that doesn't matter as you can change the ROM as well. I've lost the link within the site for it but it's free and works. just follow the easy instructions.

I'm buying mine sim free as its a replacement phone to my xda1 and I don't want another contract..Erm well normally they sell it sim free for something stupid like £400-450 and with contract for £350...they reduced the price to £300 earlier this year then down to £200something with contract so the price for simfree naturally went down aswell...I'll fill you in when I get bck from the shop hopefully later today
Good luck Moonmonkey, regardless of price if you can find any o2 shops that have the xda II in stock i'll be impressed.
If only o2 spent a small part of there advertising budget keepng there distribution channels properly stocked!
Brand new xda2 on ebay, £400 buy now
here is the link, make sure you can collect, it looks genuine to me but be aware of scammers, do not part with cash until sure, the guy wants immediate payment via paypal.

where can I get a SPV M1000

Just phoned to upgrade my Buisness Orange SIm and was told that as I do not have 50+ mobiles registered with Orange, I cannot get a SPV M1000!
Anyone know where I can get one from?
Ashby
well here orange sell them all over often bundled with tomtom navigate
not sure if they ship to uk though
Does anyone know if this is true? Can you only purchase a SPVM 1000 if you are using 50 or more hand sets? Also, does anyone know how much Orange is charging for the handset when you sign up with service?
Thanks fo the help in sorting this out.
DJ
Try www.ebay.co.uk if there is one available it will be on there, just be sure if buying that you can collect the goods or ascertain the sellers credentials, there have been many instances of hijacked accounts on ebay recently, the feedback looks great, but you arent dealing with the owner of the account, the scammers tend to ask for money transfer via western union.
i doubt that it's true since many big eletronic stores here sell it bundled with tomtom gps
and they give the unit price on their site along with their other SPV

of cause i dont know if they ship to other countries
Orange M1000 - more details
I am new here - my first day of posting here ever.
Here is what i have been able to find out about this phone (M1000) from Orange
This is being marketed in 3 countries, - in Denmark to Business & Residential customers, and in UK and France to business customers only. Not just any business customers, many people have posted here and on modaco forums that you have to have 50 lines for your business. This is what i found when i called orange uk, they wouldn't even talk to me till i told them i have over 50 employees (as if). One person said he was told he needed 500 employees, but this seems to be an exception.
As stated by others, this is a lunatic decision for Orange to have taken.
I have searched the internet for buying these.
This was selling, apparently briefly, on Expansys (UK online electronics) but they have sold all they had and are not expecting any more at the moment, as far as i know ( i phoned them about it). I believe it was selling for over £500
There is one Danish site which is offering this on a Denmark Orange Tariff, but I am sure that you would need to give them a Danish address to be able to buy this from Orange Denmark, - i could be wrong. According to current exchange rates, the amount they were asking for was over £400, and that was on a Danish Orange Tariff of at least £30 a month. Not much use to a UK person, unfortunately.
I will be getting a few of these models (unwanted upgrades by some friends who are in a big enough company, but don't particularly like PDA 's as phones) over the next few days, i will beposting one on ebay today or tomorrow, which i will start the bidding at £400 ish.
If anyone wants to approach me outside Ebay, and you live in the London area, contact me please.
Good luck with this, and there is a good review of this, including pictures and videos taken with it, on this URL
http://www.msmobilenews.com/mobile/?cid=454
All the best, and what a gr8 site. I intend to unlock the phones before selling, have any of you used the fantastic tool for unlocking on the Orange spv m-1000 specifically?
Cheers
Ammateur
In France the device is sold on Orange shops about 450 Euro with a contract or 730 euro without
but SPV1000 is only 32MB Ram + 32 MB Rom where XDA2 (O2 or other) are 64 Mo RAM and 64 MO Rom so be carefull read the specs
RAM on M1000
Sorry, if you check out the review link i provided above, from Brody, the founder of his website, who tested one of these and provides much pictures and information, he says the UK version had 128 total, not 64
Its a perfect phone
I recently got hold of a SPV m1000 for DKK 3.600 excl. VAT andwith a contract. I love the design and smallness of the phone but if Orange really won't offer it to ordinary people in your countries then go with another brand. I heard rumours about m1000 lacking memory compared to the other brands, but mine is as good as the O2 (128 MB) and I don't belive they design it in other ways for other countries, especially considering the tininess of Denmark.
Cheers
Johan
also since they are all Himalaya devices then starting to change the inner hardware would inc the price even more then removing the mem would dec the price it just would not be a profitsome thing for orange to do
Individuals can now get the m1000 on contract in the UK, see here.

tytn in US

Hi guys,
Heading to NY over the break. Was wondering if someone could suggest a few shops where i may be able to pickup the tytn for cheap. Also if i bring the tytn back to the Uk will i have problems getting a charger etc for it ?
Thanks in advance
TyTN's here come with a universal power supply (2 round prongs) & a US adaptor. I don't think you'll have any problems finding a UK adaptor for it.
Any shops you can recommend that sell it for cheap ?

I am not sure of the currnet prices in NYC but i know in Canada the price is closer to 800USD...
Safe travels,

Try these places:
DataVis (Midtown on 5th & 38th)
http://www.datavis.com/webapp/commerce/command/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=466867&prmenbr=2000
*Instore prices are sometimes higher than thier website.
J&R (Downtown across from City Hall on Park Row, just off Broadway)
http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=4132416

thanks guys
J&R has the Tytn. Price without contract was $799 when I checked a couple of months ago.
I would seriously avoid buying anything from DataVis (I don't think they carry the Tytn anyway) - they only return for store credit, and can be quite obnoxious.
There's also another New York-based company selling the Tytn (Mobile City Online - http://www.mobilecityonline.com), but I don't have any experience with them. They're selling the Tytn for $739.99.

[Q] Where to buy unlocked Omnia 7 without contract?

Does someone know where i could buy a unlocked Omnia 7 without contract in europe? I searched and didn't find a single shop that had some on stock.
It's listed with a provisional price on Clove but with no release date I am afraid.
You can buy it PAYG on three (£445 I think) and then pay £15 to unlock, so £460 sim free from 3.
I don't see the Omnia 7 when i select PAYG on the three uk online shop. May this option is only if u buy it directly from a three store? And where i can get the phone unlocked for £15, direct from three?
I found a locked Omnia 7 on eBay but not shure if there is a trusted unlock online service.
Not sure about online, but certainly in store they had is as PAYG as well as contract. And the guy in store said you just call 3 themselves and they will give you the code for about £15.

So there not operating the same 12 month no unlock policy as O2 are then?
Does it leave the device with much three branding?
I bought my Omnis on t mobile and have had it unlocked and am now using it on Vodafone as this is my preferred network as they have much better 3g coverage in my area. Aside from a t-mobile marking on the battery cover there is no branding on the phone at all.
Go to geizhals.at most of the online stores update the availability daily, there u can get it as soon as it's available
I'm also looking to get one soon!
I'm also looking at geizhals.at every day, and it drives me crazy
Any updates on this?
I bought mine BNIB (locked to Orange UK) from eBay for £310, then unlocked for $20. Bargain
www.belsimpel.nl
The Swiss site, www.digitec.ch have an unlocked Omnia 7 for 585.- CHF. I used this site/store many times while I live in Switzerland and it is very good value.
They offer free delivery, but it is only to Switzerland I'm afriad (I see you are in Austria - nextdoor!). You can buy online and collect it from their stores (closest to Austria would be Zurich or Winterthur).
Play.com have it unlocked for £479.99
http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/...pe=allproducts&searchsource=0&urlrefer=search
A german shop has some instock again (since yesterday) Omnia 7 16gb... looks like its completely free of branding.
http://www.redcoon.de/index.php/cmd...amsung_Omnia_7_(I8700)_16_GB_black/#detailtop
They might even deliver to Austria.
I know there is another company delivering to Austria; a1 something .. they also have a website called www.getgoods.de but it is only the 8gb version (also unbranded) They did pretend to offer the 16gb version but they realised that stock was low.
I rang three and got them to bill me for one. They insisted I had a contract and pay monthly for it but I got them to sell me one full price with no contract £445 ish.

A friend of mine keeps visiting Germany, Frankfurt...can I ask her to get it...I live in India...what about the unlocking procedure then?? SHould I get it unlocked there itself or should I get it unlocked here in India?? Also, I am not looking forward to spend A LOT..like £445 is toooo much for me...(MORE than my salary )
So..around £300 - 350 is fair i think??
Thanx!
All omnia 7 phones in germany are from t-mobile and therefore unlocked. The only branding they have is a splashscreen and t-mobile search in the ie.
You can flash a new rom though and it will be completely unbranded.
I dont know the exact prices right now but it should cost around 520-590€.
Hope that helps...

Where to buy HDH in UK sim free?

Hello, I will come to London tomorrow for several days, could you recommend me a shop (not e-shop) where I can buy DHD sim free and with an opportunity to make tax free
hey, guys?
You can go into Carphonewarehouse and pick one up, to claim your VAT(tax @17.5% if you buy before January 2011) back, you will need to do this when you are leaving the country. Make sure you ask for a VAT receipt when you purchase as you will need to show this at the airport when claiming tax back.
Search google for your local Carphonewarehouse when you come to the UK and enjoy your stay here.
By the way, all Carphonewarehouse phones seem to be Sim unlocked, if you do buy from there, just confirm this with them before handing out you cash.
oh, I know this shop, thanks a lot
I hope you haven't left just yet, Phones4U also do a few good deals Check them out (note:Not an e-shop, or else I would have recommended Amazon.co.uk with the fastest next day delivery option selected)
