I recently upgraded to the new 2.24 ROM. I reinstalled all my applicaitons, and everything is working just fine with one exceptions. When I activesync my device, MS Voice Command locks up and won't respond. I'm using a Nokia BH-800 headset. If I charge the phone on the AC charger, I don't have a problem. I tried turing the headset off and turning off bluetooth on the phone, but the only recourse is a soft reset. When MS Voice Command is locked up, I can still receive calls through the headset and everything else operates normally. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall MS Voice Command, but the problem persists. Can someone offer a solution for this?

I still can't get VC to continue respond to BT headset request after a call is ended. If I am not making calls it works, though leaving the voice gatway open after use, not an issue for me cause it closes by headset button. After a call is made or received, VC never responds again. The only trick apart from soft reset to make it work again is to run built-in sddialer to promt for a command. With no command received, sddialer closes and rusureccts MS VC sensitivity for some reason. What is happening? The salvation is somewhere around. I just don't know what exactly happens and what commands sddialer makes to bt stack. Does anyone got a clue? The device is Qtek 9100 with 1.6.7.1 ROM.
Someone posted in the other thread on this issue that it might have something to do with sddeamon or whatever it's called. I don't think I run that file, and I have the same issue (on the universal). Are you running that file?
V
which file you mean? I just run the embedded voice dialer once, and after that the issue is solved and you can use MS VC again, it responds to the headset. Though until the next call. Then again...
Ah, I have a slightly different issue then. Mine is not releasing the gateway properly at any time, so I can't use VC more than once... Apologies.

Did you do the registry hack to enable voicecommand over bluetooth?
Yes I did the reg. hack. Actually I tried both methods. Overwrote the original sddialer.exe with voicecmd.exe = same result. Works fine until first call. Then dies. Concerning the voice gateway left open - I can live with it. It closes by one more button press on the headset.
just found this little free app working for my QTEK 9100 (no other reg hack required)
unrar copy to device and run VoiceEnable.exe
@Moonsower
I have exactly the same problem on my Vario, although it seems to work for 10 or so calls before it stops working. Like you, i can resolve the problem by either soft-resetting or running the 'Voice Speed' software!!
What headset are you using? I have a HBH-662?
I am not sure what that software does that dicd5 posted?
It is strange how other people are not having the same problem!
@XDAII
I am using HBH-660 by SE. I feel the salvation is close. By the way I also have Motorola HS850 headset. Exactly the same result. Will try with Bluespoon AX2 soon.
I've got a problem with Dopod 818 Pro's voice command software.
The software that is use is Cyberon VC 1.6, which is different from Jamin's Voice Speed Dial 1.1
Using Jamin's Voice Speed Dial 1.1 (I've flashed Jamin's rom), I can use bluetooth headset button to activate and dial very successfully every time.
However, when using Dopod's software (Cyberon VC 1.6), I can only activate the voice command once using my bluetooth headset's button. After that I cannot use it anymore and have to reboot the Dopod in order to make it work again. I noticed that after the headset is turned on, it never turns off again using this software.
I'm using a SC HBH-662, 818 Pro AKU2 WWE.
Do anyone experiences this problem? Is it a problem with my Headset instead of a software problem. (I'd need to consider replacing my bluetooth headset). If everyone is experiencing this problem with Dopod, then I think it is probably a software problem, or there are any registry setting that I can use to fix it?
I have noticed the same problem, though not everytime. It seems that if you use the software to dial a phone number, and then end the call, the headset shuts off and may or may not work again with voicecommand.
Anyway, yes, it's weird. I'm using a SE bluetooth headset as well, but I think it's software related.
Anyone not using Sony Ericsson bluetooth headset having the same problem? If yes, I think I'll just downgrade it back to imate rom.
Same Here!! I just loaded the new Dopod ROM and selected the few files from Ext ROM that I wanted and noticed that Cyberon Voice Commander worked once with the bluetooth headset (nxZen) then refused to work after that. Hopefully some genius here can help figure this out. Cyberon's VC seems really good, just need it to work over bluetooth.
voyager
Jabra headset same problem here.
AX2 and Plantronics Voyager same issue. I think it is similiar to the issue people are having with MS Voice Command on the Wizard using the Reg hack to redirect the BT Headset button to activate VC
I'm having the EXACT same problem, with the same headset (hbh662). Interestingly enough, I installed MS Voice Command side-by-side with Voice Commander. Once you activate Voice Commander the first time (and it makes the audio gateway connection to the BT headset), you can use MS Voice Command to issue commands through the headset. The problem is that it seems to only be able to do this once, and then you have to reset. The other thing I've noticed is that all audio is rerouted through the headset; if your phone rings while the BT gateway is active, you will only hear it in the headset (but you get to hear Voice Command anounce the caller). Ah well, at least it works for about 10 minutes per reset. :?
I have exactly the same problem with you guys with my SE HBH-610a and i.Tech Clip R35, and some other SE and i.Tech models which I have also tried. Can only activate once, and will not work again until a soft-reset. This has been like that since the shipped ROM, and the new ROM didn't fix this problem.
Voice command over BT on the i-Mate AKU2 rom works great though, and works 100% of the time!! Though both from same company Cyberon, the one on Dopod is VOICE COMMANDER, and the one on Imate is VOICE SPEED DIAL.
I have tried un-installing Voice Commander from my Dopod and installing Voice Speed Dial (from hack in this forum), but didn't get voicedialling over BT to work this way on the Dopod. Sigh!!
Has anyone contacted Dopod on this matter? If I-mate can implement Voicedialling over BT correctly, I don't see why Dopod can't!! I will write to Dopod. Can't imagine calling their hotline again...the last time I called, I had to wait at least 50mins before my call was answered.

Still no solution for this?
Still no solution for this issue? Isnt there a way to port/convert Project VCABT to the Prophet?
That would be more than great"!
I have the same problem plus it does not recognize my voice command. Alway dials a wrong person.
Any progress?
Dear Friends,
Has anyone had any progress with this issue? 3-rd party software? Maybe some bluetooth stack patches.
Please, if anyone has any valuable information to share, please do.
With warmest regards...
there is a major problem with the ROM
Until a new one is produced the BT will be stuffed
After all the problems with Voice Command 1.6 and BT headsets I had with the Trinity and WM5, I just got an unexpected bonus.
Last night I decided to install mUn's TE of WM6.
I set up TomTom and Mobile Device Center 6.1 etc.
This morning I thought I might just try Voice Command. So I installed the UK 1.6 version, paired my headset (a Motorola H500) and changed the default mapping for "Button 1" back to the way I like it (CommManager).
Lo and behold pressing the BT headset button activates Voice Command. And it even appears to be working through the headset mic.
I put my phone face down 10 feet away and whispered a command which worked!
hoorah.
I hope it keeps working now ;-)
Hey guys, I got a Bluetooth headset (a noname caller ID one from Target) about 1 week ago hoping to pair up with my 8125. It worked that night and made one test call with no problems. Got up the next morning, and it would not make a call with the headset. After a couple of tries, I deleted the partnership. From that point, it would not detect the headset again.
I then attempted to pair with my girlfriend's Tilt (which had worked before), her Motorola M500 headset, and a speakerphone kit. In all these cases, the 8125 would not any Bluetooth devices. I turned on discoverable mode, same result. I installed the Jetware extensions, still nothing detected. I then installed the Broadcom Bluetooth stack. With this installed, I could not even turn on Bluetooth. A message told me "The bluetooth radio failed to turn on due to insufficient driver memory available."
At this point, I couldn't even uninstall the stack, as the uninstall program just locked up the phone, causing me to press the reset button. I reflashed the phone with the same rom, WWE OS CE 5.2.20273, hoping the fresh start would help. Retried all the above steps, still couldn't detect other devices.
I then downloaded and flashed my 8125 with WizFlo 20273 with added Manilla 2D. Tried all the same steps, got all the same results.
I even tried scanning with btCrawler at various points and was not able to discover any devices this way either. Prior to pairing with the Target headset, it detected not only the headset but also a couple of my neighbors' devices (I'm in an apartment).
Can anyone think of anything I've overlooked? Is there some trick I haven't tried? Thanks in advance.
Hello,
I have a strange error when using the Bluetooth headset with my XDA 2i:
When I receive a call, I can accept it via the headset button, ending the call with the same button works as well. However, I can neither hear the other party nor can they hear me talking.
Strangely, when no call is in progress, listening to music via the headset works fine.
When using the BT headset with some SIP Phone on the computer, both loudspeaker and microphone work, so the error seems to be on the XDA 2i.
I have a XDA 2i with Windows Mobile 2003 SE, the headset is a HAMA BTH 150. Since this combination used to work, I assume some "newly" installed software causes the malfunction.
Here is a list with installed programs that might have something to do with it.
VJvolubilis
Mortscript
SJ Labs SJ Phone
Fonix VoiceDial
Skype
Any ideas, which program or what else might be causing this behavior?
Or which program can be excluded from the list?
Many thanks in advance,
wiojima
Problem solved by performing a HardReset followed by restoring a former working image. All the programs as well as the BT audio issue work fine again.
Personal data was of course saved before and restored afterwards
