bluethooth problem .Help me plz - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

I have Imate pocketPC, when I tap on bluetooth icon then an infomation " there is no bluetooth hardware installed on this device" how can I do this error . Please show me
Thanh you .

I have the same problem with my XDA2 - all of a sudden my bluetooth is no longer detected. I read that a hard reset would solve the problem so I reset back to factory default and checked the bluetooth and it was working fine. Great I thought! until I restored my data and then the problem was back again.
Does anyone know what causes this bug? I read that I-mate released a rom update to solve this issue but I have not seen anything for the XDA. Is there a setting in the registry that causes this? This is really fustrating!

No Bluetooth hardware detected
Let me answer my own question. This "No Bluetooth hardware detected" bug is due to a corrupted registry, for some unknown reason entries disappear or are changed. The simple solution is just to export a clean reg file of the affected section and import it to cure the problem. This seems to be a common bug which can affect anyone at any time so it is probably worthwile for everybody to do some preventative maintenance and save a reg file now in storage so that you can easily cure the bug should it arise in the future.
The affected section is HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth. Just export this entire folder - its only 31K - from an earlier backup or from the factory default settings and import over the corrupted entries after you have restored. You will need a registry editor such as Resco's to import and export reg files.

Problem: my XDA IIi restarts itself...

Hello,
My PDA restarts itself every 8-10mins (soft reset). It is also unable to find a network ("No service") so I'm not able to make and receive calls.
I don't really know what I've done that problem appeared (installed/uninstalled some software, made some registry cleanup using Pocket Mechanic).
It's huge problem for me, I don't know what to do...
Please, help me! Thanks
Artur
Hi,
Now it's OK(finally!). It had to be some software conflict. After unistalling the program and deleting key in registery and reseting the pda came back to normal work, it found the network and doesn't reset enymore. Ufff...
Regards to all.

Will hard-reset fix this ?

Hi,
I have a T-Mobile MDA Compact III (aka HTC Hero) and I was trying to change some things in registry, also I owerwrited some dll witch had attribute ROM (using sktools). Now I have ppc with not working camera unfortunately. Will hard-reset fix my problem ? Will it give me correct registry and also all device dll to default settings ?
Yes, a hard reset will restore your device to the way it was when you first got it. It's like formatting your PC hard disk and re-installing Windows.
Hard-reset didn't fix
Hi,
I have the same problem. When I start up the camera I get the message, the camer couldn't initialize. I have SKtools installed. Hopefully someone has an idea.
as said above.press reset hole &2soft keys ("-")together then "yes-green bttn".or somewhere in settings is'Clear Storage'. btw, backup ur contacts... before

The golden rule to avoid having to hard reset is to always backup your phone before starting to mess around with the registry, that way you can undo any mistakes you've made.
I think that SKTools backs up the registry before deleting or changing some value so you may want to check up on that before hard resetting.

dbgtostorage*.* ???

At me sometimes the device starts to stammer at playing music and in a root directory there are files dbgtostorage*.* which constantly grow.
At me one such problem?
In an Internet has found only it:
It is necessary to create directories radically:
DbgToStorageLog0.txt
DbgToStorageLog1.txt
DbgToStorageLog2.txt
DbgToStorageLog3.txt
DbgToStorageLog4.txt
And that for debugging and what for she in a working device with an official insertion I and have not understood it.
Tried in the register of a branch to correct or demolish dll a debugger, my animal there and then was ill, began to brake terribly at each operation. I.e. it not an output.
And has created directories, files сertainly have ceased to be created, but also the device has come to life, even began subjectively faster, and that the most important has ceased to stammer.
In general it certainly not the order with this debugger what feature of it activated also the most important who?
Which ROM version do you have? These files usually mean a debug (test) version of ROM.
ROM 1.8.411.3 Rus official.
It appears that the xpanel logger was turned on somehow.
Try doing a hard-reset or find an R2 (5.4.xxxx) ROM for your Herald - it is out already.
It is a hardware mistake!
Did all that is possible and 5.4 too has not helped. Has exchanged the device in shop, in new all is normal!
Hardware itself does not create files, this is an OS feature.
It disagree. I put different ROM, have not helped.
I think memory beaten, therefore and works a debugger.
Rather, radio works in some kind of engineering mode, and system just logs the info. There's a similar problem with P3300. I suppose this has something to do with production quality.
Did both (vvv121,ASerg) of you have solution for this kind of problem i have same problem in my xda orbit now and i haven't found any solution even googled it
please tell me what to do?
In Registry explorer (SKTools) search for key: DebugLog (HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\DebugLog\), rename Htc_Lib.dll (delete simbol "_"), change index from 2 to 0. Save and exit SKTools. Soft Reset.
After soft reset - delete all DbgToStorageLog.txt.
In some cooked roms this key is missing. Sorry for English poorly.

Problems with Folder view settings and file association in Windows 8.1

My Windows 8.1 64 bit started forgetting the view settings from a folder. So if I go in a folder and I set it to List-View for example, whenever I close that folder and I reopen it the view is set automatically to Details view. And this applies to every folder in my computer except Desktop. It drives me crazy, especially in my pictures folders.
Also with this problem another one came.I can't set a program to open some files,so the file associations for some files is broken. For example i can't set qTorrent to open torrent files. It just won't open them and the files apear as white documents just like I hadn't had a Torrent program installed already.I find it weird that both problems appeared together.
I previously had to reinstall windows on my machine, because of this problems. It worked normal at the begging, but today these problems appeared again.
I tried scanning SFC Scan with no result.
I hope I will get a fix here.
Thanks.
Unless your install image is corrupted somehow, an issue like this (which is entirely too specific to be hardware, so it's got to be caused by software) is probably the result of either a problematic app or setting change (registry tweak?) you made somewhere. Do you have/use any registry cleaner or system optimizer tools? Weird security software?

Hey thanks for the reply ,but I got a fix for everything.Apparently the problem is in the registry.
So If the problem began recently, I can try this to fix it like this :
1. Press +R to show the Run box, type RSTRUI and press enter.
2. Choose a recent date and time from before the problem beginning (such as the day before yesterday) and click Next.
3. The system will restore registry settings from that day, and restart.
If you do this however, all the programs you had installed after the restore point date will be DELETED,so be sure to backup things.Hope this will help someone someday.
Cheers.:cyclops:
Otherwise known as "use a restore point". Glad it worked for you. Odd that it should come repeatedly yet so unpredictably.
